Nickel-promoted ligand-free palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction

Summary A Ni-promoted ligand free palladium catalyst system for Suzuki coupling of aryl bromides has been developed in high efficiency under mild reaction conditions. It was obtained in situ by introducing NiCl₂ to PdCl₂/PVP using a parallel high-throughput screening technique. A wide range of aryl bromides bearing a variety of functional groups was evaluated.     

Synthesis of novel rigid triazine-based calix[6]arenes

In this report, the stepwise synthesis of a novel rigid and functionalised macrocycle 2 based on triazine and phenylenediamine linkers, is presented. Poor recognition of the macrocycle 2 for its substrates is observed, which shows experimentally that for the meltriazine based-calix[6]arene system, the binding ability of the melamine moiety gets more benefit from the ring flexibility derived from a xylenediamine linker 1 than from a phenylenediamine linker 2.     

Dielectric properties and frequency response of self-assembled monolayers of alkanethiols

This paper presents dielectric properties of alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) under an ac electric field. Using a Hg-SAM/SAM-Hg junction, we measured the ac impedance of alkanethiol SAMs using a sinusoidal perturbation of 30 mV (peak-to-peak) with frequency ranging from 1 Hz to 1 MHz at zero bias. Semicircles at higher frequencies and at middle frequencies along with Warburg lines at lower frequencies were observed in complex plane impedance plots, that is, Nyquist plots. The frequency response of SAMs was analyzed by modeling the junction using an equivalent circuit and fitting the Nyquist plots. The semicircles at higher frequencies are attributed to the effect of the SAM/SAM interfaces, and the ones at middle frequencies are attributed to the effect of alkanethiol SAMs. The comparison in the plots of the imaginary part of the impedance Z against frequency for the bare Hg electrodes (in pure ethanal) and the SAM-covered Hg electrodes (in alkanethiol solution) supports the analysis. The Warburg lines are attributed to a certain ionic impurity. The dielectric loss spectra are further analyzed. Chain-length-dependent peaks, which correspond to different relaxation mechanisms, at higher frequencies and middle frequencies were observed in the spectra of the dissipation factor (tan delta vs frequency). The peaks move to small frequency with the increase of chain length of alkanethiols. Using a correlation of peak position with the chain length, we then derived active energies of 39-99 meV for alkanethiol SAMs of C7-C18 under an ac electric field.     

The grain-boundary-related optical and electrical properties in polycrystalline p-type ZnO films

Cathodoluminescence spectra and electrical properties of the N doped and N–Al codoped p-type ZnO films and the dependence of these two properties on the post-annealing were investigated. Spectral analyses show that the intensity of the green emission strongly depends on the annealing ambient and closely relates with the width of the electron depletion region at the particle boundary. The conducting type and electrical properties of N doped and N–Al codoped ZnO films are greatly affected by the annealing process. The grain boundary effect was proposed to explain the green emission behavior and the p-type conduction in polycrystalline ZnO based films.     

含硒杂环化合物的合成和对超氧阴离子作用的ESR研究

引言硒作为人体必需的微量元素,其主要生化作用与谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶密切相关.在体内,该酶可以催化许多过氧化物的分解,并且与谷胱甘肽一起组成一个强有力的细胞防御体系,发挥其抗氧化作用.近几年来,人们发现了一种小分子有机硒化物2-苯基-1,2-苯并异硒唑酮-3(简称Ebselen)具有类似谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶的活性.它能有效地抑制活性氧自由基的产生而引起的细胞损伤,具有良好的抗炎活性,且毒性极低(大鼠LD_(50)>6180mg/os).因而,普遍认为Ebselen及其类似物是一类具有广谱抗炎活性的潜在药物,在医药领域具有广阔的应用前景.     

四（2,4—二叔戊基苯氧基）酞菁铜（Ⅱ）的合成及其LB膜

合成了标题酞菁铜衍生物,并通过元素分析,高压液相色谱,紫外光谱,红外光谱,核磁共振谱,电镜,顺磁共振谱及质谱加以确认。该化合物在稀氯仿溶液和LB膜中各以单,双分子缔合的形式存在。Z型沉积形成的单层LB膜对氨气有很高的灵敏度和选择性。     

可逆反应的热静力学研究法

化学反应的焓变△H和平衡常数K的测定是热静力学研究的重要任务。通常用量热法可以此较准确地测定△H,但要从量热数据直接得到K则是在六十年代初才开始有所探索。在达方面,Drago和Christensen的工作是值得借鉴的。本文建立了一种中性配位体与一价金属离子络合反应体系的热静力学研究法,并用这种方法研究了二苯并18-冠-6与Na~+的络合反应,同时得到了反应的△H和平衡常数K。实验值与文献值符合。     

Ru-Catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of alpha-ketoesters with CeCl3.7H2O as additive

[reaction: see text] An efficient asymmetric hydrogenation of alpha-ketoesters is reported with use of a catalyst prepared from [Ru((S)-3)(benzene)Cl]Cl and CeCl(3).7H(2)O. Alpha-hydroxy esters are obtained in up to 96% ee. The addition of CeCl(3).7H(2)O not only improves the enantioselectivity, but also enhances the stability of the catalyst. As a result, the hydrogenation of methyl benzoylformate affords the product with 92% ee with a substrate/catalyst ratio of 10 000. Hydrolysis of 2 provides the final compound with 83% yield at 99% ee after a single recrystallization from 1,2-dichloroethylene.     

Bonded dimethylacrylamide as a permanent coating for capillary electrophoresis

A method for coating capillaries for capillary electrophoresis with chemically bonded polydimethylacrylamide has been developed, and the properties of the capillaries have been evaluated. The coated capillaries provided high separation efficiency, 12 x 10(5) theoretical plates/m was obtained for cytochrome c. The electroosmotic flow at pH 8.0 was 10 x 10(-10) to 6 x 10(-10) m2 V(-1) s(-1). The coated capillaries were quite stable at high pH. At least 150 runs could be done at pH 10 without appreciable performance deterioration. The excellent performance of the coated capillaries was illustrated by separation of basic proteins, acidic proteins, 9-fluorenylmethyl chloroformate-derivatized neurotransmitter amino acids, peptide reference mixtures and peptides digested from a bacteria protein.
