Dynamic interfacial tension values obtained by drop volume tensiometry will be affected under certain experimental conditions by the formation of a neck between the drop and the capillary tip. This phenomenon must be accounted for to obtain accurate values of interfacial tension. In this work, neck formation for a water–mineral oil system is studied under conditions where hydrodynamic effects can be neglected. A model originally developed for the determination of the surface tension of a suspended drop is modified for application to dynamic interfacial tensions of surfactant-containing liquids. The model relates apparent values of interfacial tension calculated from drops possessing necks to actual values. Experiments with Span 80 (sorbitan monooleate) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) surfactants in a mineral oil–water system are used to test the validity of the developed model. For the small tip diameter used, good agreement is obtained for Span 80 up to the critical micelle concentration, and for low concentrations of SDS, when the surfactant adsorption is diffusion-limited. In both cases, the neck diameter of the growing drop can be considered constant over the range of dynamic interfacial tensions tested. 相似文献

A new very sensitive and selective chromogenic reagent, meso-tetra-(3,5-dibromo-4-hydroxylphenyl)porphyrin [T(DBHP)P], was synthesized and studied for the determination of trace lead in detail. In 0.10 mol l-1 NaOH medium, lead reacts with T(DBHP)P to form a 1:2 yellow complex, which gives a maximum absorption at 479 nm; 0-0.48 microgram ml-1 Pb(II) obeyed Beer's law. The molar absorptivity of the complex and Sandell's sensitivity are 2.5 x 10(5) 1 mol-1 cm-1 and 0.000812 microgram cm-2, respectively. Second-derivative spectrophotometry is better than conventional spectrophotometry in sensitivity and selectivity, and its limit of quantification, limit of detection and relative standard deviation are 0.70 ng ml-1, 0.21 ng ml-1 and 1.0%, respectively. Ca (3250-fold), Mg (2000-fold), Sr (1000-fold), Ba (750-fold), Al (1000-fold), Bi (500-fold), Fe (2000-fold), Co (750-fold), Ni (1000-fold), Cu (750-fold), Zn (1250-fold), Cd (2500-fold) and Ag (550-fold) do not interfere with the determination of lead. The chromogenic system is remarkably superior to other reagents, especially porphyrin compounds. The influence caused by oxygen in air or in solution can be easily eliminated by adding Na2SO3. The reaction is very stable, the stability constant of the complex being 1.2 x 10(45). The chromogenic reaction is completed within 1 min at room temperature when 8-hydroxylquinoline is used as catalyst. Mobile crowdsensing (MCS) is attracting considerable attention in the past few years as a new paradigm for large-scale information sensing. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have played a significant role in MCS tasks and served as crucial nodes in the newly-proposed space-air-ground integrated network (SAGIN). In this paper, we incorporate SAGIN into MCS task and present a Space-Air-Ground integrated Mobile CrowdSensing (SAG-MCS) problem. Based on multi-source observations from embedded sensors and satellites, an aerial UAV swarm is required to carry out energy-efficient data collection and recharging tasks. Up to date, few studies have explored such multi-task MCS problem with the cooperation of UAV swarm and satellites. To address this multi-agent problem, we propose a novel deep reinforcement learning (DRL) based method called Multi-Scale Soft Deep Recurrent Graph Network (ms-SDRGN). Our ms-SDRGN approach incorporates a multi-scale convolutional encoder to process multi-source raw observations for better feature exploitation. We also use a graph attention mechanism to model inter-UAV communications and aggregate extra neighboring information, and utilize a gated recurrent unit for long-term performance. In addition, a stochastic policy can be learned through a maximum-entropy method with an adjustable temperature parameter. Specifically, we design a heuristic reward function to encourage the agents to achieve global cooperation under partial observability. We train the model to convergence and conduct a series of case studies. Evaluation results show statistical significance and that ms-SDRGN outperforms three state-of-the-art DRL baselines in SAG-MCS. Compared with the best-performing baseline, ms-SDRGN improves 29.0% reward and 3.8% CFE score. We also investigate the scalability and robustness of ms-SDRGN towards DRL environments with diverse observation scales or demanding communication conditions. 相似文献

尿素造粒塔大多采用水洗工艺处理尾气粉尘,存在较为严重的细颗粒粉尘溢出和水汽拖尾问题,因此深入探究声波团聚技术在造粒塔尾气处理方面的应用。通过实验研究了声波与喷雾对除尘效率的影响,发现声波单独作用时在3500 Hz达到最佳除尘效率,为74.49%,协同喷雾时2600 Hz即可实现相近的除尘效率,为73.83%。进一步探究其中机理,采用以粒径测试为依据的团聚效率作为评价指标,结果显示,2600 Hz声波与喷雾单独作用时团聚效率分别为30.37%和28.82%,协同作用时团聚效率大幅提升至57.95%。该研究可为后续造粒塔工程改造提供理论与数据支持。 相似文献

Spider silk is one of the hottest biomaterials researched currently, due to its excellent mechanical properties. This work reports a novel humidity sensing platform based on a spider silk-modified quartz tuning fork (SSM-QTF). Since spider silk is a kind of natural moisture-sensitive material, it does not demand additional sensitization. Quartz-enhanced conductance spectroscopy (QECS) was combined with the SSM-QTF to access humidity sensing sensitively. The results indicate that the resonance frequency of the SSM-QTF decreased monotonously with the ambient humidity. The detection sensitivity of the proposed SSM-QTF sensor was 12.7 ppm at 1 min. The SSM-QTF sensor showed good linearity of ~0.99. Using this sensor, we successfully measured the humidity of disposable medical masks for different periods of wearing time. The results showed that even a 20 min wearing time can lead to a >70% humidity in the mask enclosed space. It is suggested that a disposable medical mask should be changed <2 h. 相似文献

This study evaluated the effect of grape seed-derived monomer, dimeric, and trimeric procyanidins on rat pheochromocytoma cell line (PC12) cells and in a zebrafish Parkinson’s disease (PD) model. PC12 cells were cultured with grape seed-derived procyanidins or deprenyl for 24 h and then exposed to 1.5 mm 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium (MPP+) for 24 h. Zebrafish larvae (AB strain) 3 days post-fertilization were incubated with deprenyl or grape seed-derived procyanidins in 400 µM 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) for 4 days. The results showed that the procyanidin dimers procyanidin B1 (B1), procyanidin B2 (B2), procyanidin B3 (B3), procyanidin B4 (B4), procyanidin B1-3-O-gallate (B1-G), procyanidin B2-3-O-gallate (B2-G), and the procyanidin trimer procyanidin C1 (C1) had a protective effect on PC12 cells, decreasing the damaged dopaminergic neurons and motor impairment in zebrafish. In PC12 cells and the zebrafish PD model, procyanidin (B1, B2, B3, B4, B1-G, B2-G, C1) treatment decreased the content of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde (MDA), increased the activity of antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), catalase (CAT), and superoxide dismutase (SOD), and upregulated the expression of nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor (Nrf2), NAD(P)H: quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1), and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1). These results suggest that in PC12 cells and the zebrafish PD model, the neuroprotective effects of the procyanidins were positively correlated with their degree of polymerization. 相似文献

The Kleier model and Carrier-mediated theory are effective for molecularly designing pesticides with phloem mobility. However, the single Kleier model or Carrier-mediated theory cannot achieve a reliable explanation of the phloem mobility of all exogenous substances. A detailed investigation of the two models and the scope of their applications can provide a more accurate and highly efficient basis for the guidance of the design and development of phloem-mobile pesticides. In the present paper, a strategy using active ingredient-amino acid conjugates as mode compounds is developed based on Carrier-mediated theory. An N-alkylated amino acid is used to improve the pesticide’s physicochemical properties following the Kleier model, thus allowing the conjugates to fall on the predicted and more accessible transportation region of phloem. Moreover, the influence of this movement on phloem is inspected by the Kleier model and Carrier-mediated theory. To verify this strategy, a series of N-alkylated phenazine-1-carboxylic acid-glycine compounds (PCA-Gly) were designed and synthesized. The results related to the castor bean seeds (R. communis L.) indicated that all the target compounds (4a–4f) had phloem mobility. The capacity for phloem mobility shows that N-alkylated glycine containing small substituents can significantly improve PCA phloem mobility, such as 4c(i-C3H7-N) > 4a(CH3-N) ≈ 4b(C2H5-N) > 4d (t-C4H9-N) > PCA-Gly > 4e(C6H5-N) > 4f(CH2COOH-N), with an oil–water partition coefficient between 1.2~2.5. In particular, compounds 4a(CH3-N), 4b(C2H5-N), and 4c(i-C3H7-N) present better phloem mobility, with the average concentrations in phloem sap of 14.62 μΜ, 13.98 μΜ, and 17.63 μΜ in the first 5 h, which are 8 to 10 times higher than PCA-Gly (1.71 μΜ). The results reveal that the Kleier model and Carrier-mediated theory play a guiding role in the design of phloem-mobile pesticides. However, the single Kleier model or Carrier-mediated theory are not entirely accurate. Still, there is a synergism between Carrier-mediated theory and the Kleier model for promoting the phloem transport of exogenous compounds. Therefore, we suggest the introduction of endogenous plant compounds as a promoiety to improve the phloem mobility of pesticides through Carrier-mediated theory. It is necessary to consider the improvement of physicochemical properties according to the Kleier model, which can contribute to a scientific theory for developing phloem-mobile pesticides. 相似文献

Chlorogenic acid (CGA), an important metabolite in natural plant medicines such as honeysuckle and eucommia, has been shown to have potent antinociceptive effects. Nevertheless, the mechanism by which CGA relieves chronic pain remains unclear. α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isooxazolpropionic acid receptor (AMPAR) is a major ionotropic glutamate receptor that mediates rapid excitatory synaptic transmission and its glutamate ionotropic receptor AMPA type subunit 1 (GluA1) plays a key role in nociceptive transmission. In this study, we used Western blot, surface plasmon resonance (SPR) assay, and the molecular simulation technologies to investigate the mechanism of interaction between CGA and AMPAR to relieve chronic pain. Our results indicate that the protein expression level of GluA1 showed a dependent decrease as the concentration of CGA increased (0, 50, 100, and 200 μM). The SPR assay demonstrates that CGA can directly bind to GluA1 (KD = 496 μM). Furthermore, CGA forms a stable binding interaction with GluA1, which is validated by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The binding free energy between CGA and GluA1 is −39.803 ± 14.772 kJ/mol, where van der Waals interaction and electrostatic interaction are the major contributors to the GluA1–CGA binding, and the key residues are identified (Val-32, Glu-33, Ala-36, Glu-37, Leu-48), which play a crucial role in the binding interaction. This study first reveals the structural basis of the stable interaction between CGA and GluA1 to form a binding complex for the relief of chronic pain. The research provides the structural basis to understand the treatment of chronic pain and is valuable to the design of novel drug molecules in the future. 相似文献
