The generation of HO radicals by acoustic cavitation in water was monitored by their reaction with terephthalic acid (TA) anion to produce fluorescent hydroxyterephthalate ions using a cleaning bath (38kHz) and a probe system (20, 40 and 60 kHz) as different sources of ultrasound. When using the ultrasonic bath as a source of energy for sonochemical studies, the shape of the reaction vessel is important. In the case of HO production from water (50 cm3), reaction in a conical flask (100 cm3) produces 2.75 times more radicals than a round-bottomed flask of the same capacity. The fluorescence yield (fluorescence intensity/ultrasound dosage) obtained using the conical flask and ultrasonic bath was similar to that for a probe operating at 40 kHz on the same volume of solution. For a probe system operating at 20, 40 and 60 kHz the greatest sonochemical efficiency was attained at the highest of these frequencies (60 kHz). For the probe system the fluorescence yield is directly proportional to power input and the concentration of TA. The fluorescence yield decreases as the temperature is increased. 相似文献

93Nb (I = 9/2) multiple-quantum magic-angle spinning (MQMAS) NMR spectra of a series of inorganic niobates have been measured. 93Nb MQMAS spectroscopy yields spectra with typically an order of magnitude higher resolution than that obtainable with 93Nb MAS spectroscopy and 93Nb dynamic-angle spinning (DAS) spectroscopy. For example, the full-width at half-maximums of the 93Nb resonances of LiNbO3 were 9 (MAS), 5.8 (DAS), and 0.7 kHz (MQMAS). Broadening of the 93Nb MAS and DAS spectra is due to the second-order quadrupolar and homonuclear dipolar interactions, respectively. The quadrupolar products (P(O)) and isotropic chemical shifts (delta(iso)) of the 93Nb resonances of LiNbO3, NaNbO3, PbNb2O6, Pb2Nb2O7, Pb3Nb2O8, Pb3Nb4O15, Pb3Nb4O13, and Pb1.83Nb1.71Mg0.29O6.39 were determined from MQMAS spectra and range from 13.6 to 26.8 MHz and from -951 to -1113 ppm, respectively. Resonances with relatively large quadrupolar coupling constants (> 30 MHz) were not observed using MQMAS spectroscopy, but were detected using nutation spectroscopy. The applicability and limitations of MQMAS spectroscopy in studying inorganic niobates containing multiple 93Nb resonances are addressed and compared with those of MAS, nutation, and DAS spectroscopies. 相似文献

The eigenstates and eigenspectrum of a charged particle in a one-dimensional semiconductor superlattice with an impurity under the action of a dc electric field are investigated employing the single-band tight-binding model. We find that the system undergoes a series of avoided crossings, at which resonant oscillations between the impurity and its nearest neighbour occur if appropriate conditions are met, suggesting an effective two-level approximation. This phenomenon shows that introducing an impurity in a perfect lattice provides a promising structure for the observation of terahertz radiation. 相似文献

In this paper, all electro-optic solid immersion lens (EOSIL) is introduced, which is made of GaAs. A reflecting external electro-optic measuring system based on the EOSIL is built. With a hemispherical GaAs EOSIL used as the external probe, 0.7 µm spot size is obtained when the wavelength of the probing beam from a laser diode is 1.3 µm and a microscope objective with 0.3 numerical aperture is used. The principle of the measuring system is analyzed by Jones matrix. By using the system, the electrical signals propagating on a microstrip transmission line are successfully measured.
