Photoluminescence (PL) linewidth broadening of CdxZn1 − xSe/ZnSe triple quantum wells, grown on GaAs substrates by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), has been investigated. Various quantum well (QW) samples have been prepared with different QW thickness and composition (Cd-composition). Measured and calculated PL linewidth are compared. Both composition and thickness fluctuations are considered for the calculation with the parameters such as the volume of exciton, nominal thickness and composition of QWs. Surface roughness measured by atomic force microscopy (AFM) is used to estimate the interface roughness. Results show that when Cd-composition increases additional linewidth broadening due to Zn/Cd interdiffusion is enhanced.  相似文献

We present a search for a neutral particle, pair produced in pp[over] collisions at sqrt[s]=1.96 TeV, which decays into two muons and lives long enough to travel at least 5 cm before decaying. The analysis uses approximately 380 pb(-1) of data recorded with the D0 detector. The background is estimated to be about one event. No candidates are observed, and limits are set on the pair-production cross section times branching fraction into dimuons + X for such particles. For a mass of 10 GeV and lifetime of 4x10(-11) s, we exclude values greater than 0.14 pb (95% C.L.). These results are used to limit the interpretation of NuTeV's excess of dimuon events.  相似文献

We aimed to evaluate the suitability of a glass dosimeter (GD) for high-energy photon and electron beams in experimental and clinical use, especially for radiation therapy. We examined the expanded dosimetric characteristics of GDs including dose linearity up to 500 Gy, uniformity among GD lots and for individual GDs, the angular dependence, and energy dependence of 4 therapeutic x-ray qualities. In addition, we measured the dosimetric features (dose linearity, uniformity, angular dependence, and energy dependence) of the GD for electron beams of 10 different electron energy qualities. All measurements with the exception of dose linearity for photon beam were performed in a water phantom. For high-energy photon beams, dose linearity has a linear relationship for a dose ranging from 1 to 500 Gy with the coefficient of determination; R2 of 0.998. The uniformity of each GD of dose measurements was within ±0.5% for four GD lots and within ±1.2% for 80 GDs. In terms of the effects of photon beam angle, lower absorbed doses of within 1.0% were observed between 60° and 105° than at 90°. The GD energy dependence of 4 photon beam energy qualities was within ±2.0%. On the other hand, the result of the dose linearity for high-energy electron beams showed well fitted regression line with the coefficient of determination; R2 of 0.999 between 6 and 20 MeV. The uniformity of GDs exposed to the nominal electron energies 6, 9, 12, 16, and 20 MeV was ±1.2%. In terms of the angular dependence to electron beams, absorbed doses were within 2.0% between 60° and 105° than at 90°. In evaluation of the energy dependence of the GD at nominal electron energies between 5 and 20 MeV, we obtained responses between 1.1% and 3.5% lower than that for a cobalt-60 beam. Our results show that GDs can be used as a detector for determining doses when a high-energy photon beam is used, and that it also has considerable potential for dose measurement of high-energy electron beam.  相似文献

Functional spherical solid and hollow particles of polysilsesquioxanes (PSQs) containing amine, thiol, and vinyl groups were prepared by polymerizing organotrialkoxysilanes (OTASs) containing corresponding chemical groups. Fluorescent PSQ particles were prepared by physically entrapping Rhodamine 6G, Coumarin 7, and Fluoresceine sodium salts. The intensity of fluorescent light increased initially with increasing amount of entrapped fluorophores and then leveled off or decreased slightly after reaching a maximum value. PSQ particles containing gold nanoparticles (GNPs), both inside and on the surface, were prepared by the in situ reduction of gold ions by the PSQ particles. When the reduction reaction was carried out for extended periods of time, the GNP that had formed inside the poly(3-mercaptopropyl)silsesquioxane (PMPSQ) and polyvinylsilsesequioxane (PVSQ) particles underwent interesting morphological changes. PSQ particles containing amine and thiol groups fixed the GNPs on the surface, which could be utilized further in binding amine-modified oligo-DNA strands. The aggregation of PSQ/GNP particles combined with complementary oligo-DNA strands was examined to demonstrate that these particles could be applied to DNA assays and isolation. The particles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, solid state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, ultraviolet/visible spectroscopy, and fluorescence microscopy.  相似文献

Al-Al2O3 composite coatings with different Al2O3 particle shapes were prepared on Si and Al substrate by cold spray. The powder compositions of metal (Al) and ceramic (Al2O3) having different sizes and agglomerations were varied into ratios of 10:1 wt% and 1:1 wt%. Al2O3 particles were successfully incorporated into the soft metal matrix of Al. It was found that crater formation between the coatings and substrate, which is typical characteristic signature of cold spray could be affected by initial starting Al2O3 particles. In addition, when the large hard particles of fused Al2O3 were employed, the deep and big craters were generated at the interface between coatings and hard substrates. In the case of pure soft metal coating such as Al on hard substrate, it is very hard to get proper adhesion due to lack of crater formation. Therefore, the composite coating would have certain advantages.  相似文献

We have synthesized cone-like GeO2 structures via thermal heating of Ge powders. We have investigated the effects of substrate temperature on the sample morphology, revealing that cone-shaped structures are preferentially obtained at higher temperature. The cone-shaped structures, which gradually become thinner to form a sharp tip, appear to be a single-crystalline, hexagonal structure of GeO2. Room-temperature photoluminescence measurement revealed two emission peaks, at about 2.78 and 3.04 eV.  相似文献

This paper describes a simple optimized method for the synthesis of O‐butyl phenyl phosphonochloridothioate ( 4 ) under mild conditions. The target compounds were characterized by 1H‐nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), 13C‐NMR, and 31P‐NMR spectroscopy, as well as mass spectroscopy. The apparent structure of 4 was confirmed by optimization using the B3LYP/6‐311 + G(d,p) level in the Gaussian 09 program in acetonitrile. The nucleophilic substitution reactions of 4 with X‐anilines (XC6H4NH2) and deuterated X‐anilines (XC6H4ND2) were investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at 55.0°C. The free energy relationship with X in the anilines looked biphasic concave upwards with a break region between X = H and X = 3‐MeO, giving large negative ρX and small positive βX values. The deuterium kinetic isotope effects were secondary inverse (kH/kD < 1: 0.789‐0.995) and the magnitudes, (kH/kD), increased when the nucleophiles were changed from weakly basic to strongly basic anilines. A concerted SN2 mechanism is proposed on the basis of the selectivity parameters and the variation trend of the deuterium kinetic isotope effects with X.  相似文献

The axial resolution of optical coherence tomography (OCT) is closely related to the light source spectrum width. Unfortunately, most basic sources providing the required power for decent OCT image have narrow spectra, which generate a resolution loss. Assuming the OCT system is linear shift-invariant, we can consider the system output as the convolution of the theoretical signal with a system impulse response due to this spectrum narrowness. It becomes then possible to enhance this resolution through iterative deconvolution methods (IDM). However those methods have a significant drawback, as they usually significantly enhance speckle, which is another consequence of the source spectrum narrowness. To compensate this, we rely on preliminary speckle filtering, and especially the adaptative ones, which allow tackling the speckle without blurring the image. We first studied enhancement proposed by most popular IDMs on OCT images, and then the effect of preliminary adaptive speckle filtering (ASF) by different common adaptive methods. Then, among those methods, we combined Frost filter and Richardson-Lucy deconvolution in the appropriated way; this way we both enhanced resolution by 2 and reduced speckle (raising CNR from 0.7 to 1.3)  相似文献

We find a correlation between the dynamics of fluorescence intermittency and spectral diffusion in the spectroscopy of single CdSe nanocrystal quantum dots (QD). A statistical analysis of the data suggests two populations of blinking events: blinking followed by large spectral diffusion shifts and blinking with small or no spectral shifts. Although unexpected from earlier studies, the correlation between blinking and spectral shifting is consistent with a model of QD ionization as the mechanism for the blinking event, followed by a redistribution of local electric fields that results in spectral shifting.  相似文献

The Vircator II oscillating virtual-cathode microwave source operates with diode voltages between 600 and 800 kV and diode current between 50 and 120 kA. Maximal microwave output power between 200 and 500 MW is achieved when the diode aspect ratio, cathode surface, charge voltage, and extraction coupling are arranged to simultaneously (1) maximize diode voltage, (2) satisfy magnetic insulation criteria, (3) avoid nonuniform or unstable electron emission, and (4) optimize microwave transmission from the virtual cathode to the launching antenna. Broadband radiation between 0.4 and 5.5 GHz is generated. The central frequency follows the beam plasma frequency.
