We investigated tunable gigahertz-resonators, which is based on the application of a telescoped double-walled carbon-nanotube that can be used repeatedly and operate at a single frequency or have a relatively narrow frequency range, via classical molecular dynamics simulations of a double-walled carbon-nanotube. Two types of telescoped double-walled carbon-nanotube resonators were compared with each other; one was bridge-type and another was cantilever-type, and one side was connected to a position controller in order to achieve a telescoped carbon-nanotube. The frequency bandwidth of our cantilevered type design can exceed that of the bridged type. Our simulations showed that such a system can tune it up its resonance frequency by controlling the length of oscillating carbon-nanotube resonator.  相似文献

The generalized logit model of nominal type with random regressors is studied for bootstrapping. We assess the accuracy of some estimators for our generalized logit model, using a Monte Carlo simulation. That is, we study the finite sample properties containing the consistency and asymptotic normality of the maximum likelihood estimators. This paper addresses a construction of new q‐Hermite polynomials with a full characterization of their main properties and corresponding raising and lowering operator algebra. The three‐term recursive relation as well as the second‐order differential equation obeyed by these new polynomials are explicitly derived. Relevant operator actions, including the eigenvalue problem of the deformed oscillator and the self‐adjointness of the related position and momentum operators, are investigated and analyzed. The associated coherent states are constructed and discussed with an explicit resolution of the induced moment problem. The phase collapse in a q‐deformed boson system is studied.  相似文献

We report what we believe are the first spectroscopic measurements to be made with a room-temperature quantum-cascade distributed-feedback laser. Using wavelength modulation spectroscopy, we detected N(2)O and CH(4) in the chemical fingerprint wavelength range near 8microm . The noise equivalent absorbance for our measurement was 5 parts in 10(5), limited by excess amplitude modulation on the laser output, which corresponds to a 1-Hz bandwidth detection limit of 250 parts N(2)O in 10(9) parts N(2) in a 1-m path length.  相似文献

We investigate the instability of one-dimensional dangling-bond (DB) wires fabricated on the H-terminated C(001), Si(001), and Ge(001) surfaces by using density-functional theory calculations. The three DB wires are found to show drastically different couplings between charge, spin, and lattice degrees of freedom, resulting in an insulating ground state. The C DB wire has an antiferromagnetic spin coupling between unpaired DB electrons, caused by strong electron–electron interactions, whereas the Ge DB wire has a strong charge-lattice coupling, yielding a Peierls-like lattice distortion. For the Si DB wire, the antiferromagnetic spin ordering and the Peierls instability are highly competing with each other. The physical origin of such disparate features in the three DB wires can be traced to the different degree of localization of 2p, 3p, and 4p DB orbitals.  相似文献

The interference fragmentation function translates the fragmentation of a quark with a transverse projection of the spin into an azimuthal asymmetry of two final-state hadrons. In e(+)e(-) annihilation the product of two interference fragmentation functions is measured. We report nonzero asymmetries for pairs of charge-ordered π(+)π(-) pairs, which indicate a significant interference fragmentation function in this channel. The results are obtained from a 672 fb(-1) data sample that contains 711 × 10(6) π(+)π(-) pairs and was collected at and near the Υ(4S) resonance, with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider.  相似文献

We report on the femtosecond laser micromachining of photo-induced embedded diffraction grating in flexible Poly (Dimethly Siloxane) (PDMS) plates using a high-intensity femtosecond (130 fs) Ti: sapphire laser (λp = 800 nm). The refractive index modifications with diameters ranging from 2 μm to 5 μm were photo-induced after the irradiation with peak intensities of more than 1 × 1011 W/cm2. The graded refractive index profile was fabricated to be a symmetric around from the center of the point at which femtosecond laser was focused. The maximum refractive index change (Δn) was estimated to be 2 × 10−3. By the X-Y-Z scanning of sample, the embedded diffraction grating in PDMS plate was fabricated successfully using a femtosecond laser.  相似文献
