Three types of cross-linked porous organic polymers (either oxygen-, nitrogen-, or sulfur-doped) were carbonized under a chlorine atmosphere to obtain chars in the form of microporous heteroatom-doped carbons. The studied organic polymers constitute thermosetting resins obtained via sol-gel polycondensation of resorcinol and five-membered heterocyclic aldehydes (either furan, pyrrole, or thiophene). Carbonization under highly oxidative chlorine (concentrated and diluted Cl2 atmosphere) was compared with pyrolysis under an inert helium atmosphere. All pyrolyzed samples were additionally annealed under NH3. The influence of pyrolysis and additional annealing conditions on the carbon materials’ porosity and chemical composition was elucidated.  相似文献

Thioridazine is a well-known dopamine-antagonist drug with a wide range of pharmacological properties ranging from neuroleptic to antimicrobial and even anticancer activity. Thioridazine is a critical component of a promising multi-drug therapy against M. tuberculosis. Amongst the various proposed mechanisms of action, the cell membrane-mediated one is peculiarly tempting due to the distinctive feature of phenothiazine drug family to accumulate in selected body tissues. In this study, we employ long-scale molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the interactions of three different concentrations of thioridazine with zwitterionic and negatively charged model lipid membranes. Thioridazine partitions into the interfacial region of membranes and modifies their structural and dynamic properties, however dissimilarly so at the highest membrane-occurring concentration, that appears to be obtainable only for the negatively charged bilayer. We show that the origin of such changes is the drug induced decrease of the interfacial tension, which ultimately leads to the significant membrane expansion. Our findings support the hypothesis that the phenothiazines therapeutic activity may arise from the drug–membrane interactions, and reinforce the wider, emerging view of action of many small, bioactive compounds.  相似文献

This work reports the effect of silver bionanoparticles (Bio(AgNPs) synthesized by Actinobacteria CGG 11n on selected Gram (+) and Gram (–) bacteria. Flow cytometry, classical antibiogram method and fluorescent microscopy approach was used for evaluation of antimicrobial activity of Bio(AgNPs) and their combination with antibiotics. Furthermore, the performed research specified the capacity of flow cytometry method as an alternative to the standard ones and as a complementary method to electromigration techniques. The study showed antibacterial activity of both BioAgNPs and the combination of antibiotics/BioAgNPs against all the tested bacteria strains in comparison with a diffusion, dilution and bioautographic methods. The synergistic effect of antibiotics/BioAgNPs combination (e.g. kanamycin, ampicillin, neomycin and streptomycin) was found to be more notable against Pseudomonas aeruginosa representing a prototype of multi‐drug resistant “superbugs” for which effective therapeutic options are very limited.  相似文献

This work presents the application of a new construction of an electronic tongue for the classification of milk originating from various producers. Integrated array of microelectrodes was fabricated from epoxy-glass laminate. PVC membranes with various additives were used as chemosensitive layers. The developed device is capable of recognition of milk samples with high correctness. Moreover, the application of miniaturized reference electrode, integrated on the same substrate, also provided satisfactory results, which can be helpful in future constructions of hand-held electronic tongue systems.  相似文献

Adduct formations of rhodium(II) tetraacetate and tetratrifluoroacetate with some 1H-imidazoles, oxazoles, thiazoles, 1H-pyrazoles and isoxazole have been investigated by the use of 1H, 13C, 15N NMR and electronic absorption spectroscopy (VIS) in the visible range. Azoles tend to form axial adducts containing rhodium(II) tetraacylates bonded via nitrogen atom. Bulky substituents close to the nitrogen atom prevent the Rh--N bond formation, and in several cases switch over the binding site to the oxygen or sulphur atoms. The (15)N adduct formation shift Deltadelta(15N) (Deltadelta = delta(adduct) - delta(ligand)) varied from ca - 40 to - 70 ppm for the nitrogen atom involved in complexation, and of a few parts per million only, from ca - 6 to 3 ppm, for the non-bonded nitrogen atom within the same molecule. The Deltadelta(1H) values do not exceed one ppm; Deltadelta(13C) ranges from - 1 to 6 ppm. Various complexation modes have been proved by electronic absorption spectroscopy in the visible region (VIS). For comparison purposes, some adducts of pyridine, thiophene and furan derivatives have been measured as well. The experimental findings were compared with calculated chemical shifts, obtained by means of DFT B3LYP method, using 6-311 + G(2d,p), 6-31(d)/LanL2DZ and 6-311G(d,p) basis set.  相似文献

The photophysical properties of four imidazolium-substituted metalloporphyrins have been assessed to gain insights into the relative efficacy of the compounds for photodynamic therapy (PDT). A set of zinc(II), palladium(II), and chloro-indium(III) porphyrins all bear a net positive charge owing to the diethylimidazolium unit; one zinc chelate bears a negative charge owing to a bis(sulfobutyl)imidazolium unit. The photophysical properties of the cationic and anionic zinc porphyrins are very similar to one another in organic solvents, phosphate-buffered saline, and in the presence of bovine serum albumin. The properties of the zinc and palladium porphyrins bearing charged peripheral groups are generally similar to those of neutral analogs in organic solvents. The palladium porphyrin shows an essentially quantitative yield (≥0.99) of the triplet excited state compared to the zinc porphyrins (0.9), and all are quantitatively quenched (at the diffusion limit) by molecular oxygen in air-saturated fluid solution. If the rate constant and yield of quenching of the triplet excited state by energy or electron transfer to molecular oxygen is the same in the cellular environment as in solution, then these processes combined with the triplet yield contribute only a factor of 1.3 to the higher PDT activity of analogous palladium versus zinc porphyrins, which is much smaller than what is observed. Therefore, other factors such as transient reduction of the excited porphyrin or delivery to the target site must predominantly underlie the difference in PDT efficacy of these sensitizers.  相似文献

Understanding energy transfer among hydroporphyrins is of fundamental interest and essential for a wide variety of photochemical applications. Toward this goal, a synthetic free base ethynylphenylchlorin has been coupled with a synthetic free base bromobacteriochlorin to give a phenylethyne-linked chlorin-bacteriochlorin dyad (FbC-pe-FbB). The chlorin and bacteriochlorin are each stable toward adventitious oxidation because of the presence of a geminal dimethyl group in each reduced pyrrole ring. A combination of static and transient optical spectroscopic studies indicate that excitation into the Qy band of the chlorin constituent (675 nm) of FbC-pe-FbB in toluene results in rapid energy transfer to the bacteriochlorin constituent with a rate of approximately (5 ps)(-1) and efficiency of >99%. The excited bacteriochlorin resulting from the energy-transfer process in FbC-pe-FbB has essentially the same fluorescence characteristics as an isolated monomeric reference compound, namely a narrow (12 nm fwhm) fluorescence emission band at 760 nm and a long-lived (5.4 ns) Qy excited state that exhibits a significant fluorescence quantum yield (Phif=0.19). F?rster calculations are consistent with energy transfer in FbC-pe-FbB occurring predominantly by a through-space mechanism. The energy-transfer characteristics of FbC-pe-FbB are compared with those previously obtained for analogous phenylethyne-linked dyads consisting of two porphyrins or two oxochlorins. The comparisons among the sets of dyads are facilitated by density functional theory calculations that elucidate the molecular-orbital characteristics of the energy donor and acceptor constituents. The electron-density distributions in the frontier molecular orbitals provide insights into the through-bond electronic interactions that can also contribute to the energy-transfer process in the different types of dyads.  相似文献

In this work, we present the excess isotherm of acetonitrile for stationary phases with different coverage density. Data obtained with the minor disturbance method were compared with (29)Si cross-polarization/magic-angle spinning NMR spectra to find dependence between acetonitrile adsorption on C18 chemically bonded stationary phases and coverage density of stationary phase. The preferential adsorption of acetonitrile on the bonded phase and the adsorption of water on the silica surface can be well correlated with the coverage density.  相似文献

Biological activity of thioaurones was not tested so far and the group constitute completely unexplored source of new molecules of pharmacological interest. We report synthesis and evaluation of cytotoxic activity of thioaurone derivatives bearing p-hydroquinone system in ring A. Their activity was found to depend strongly on substitution pattern, so eventually both the activity and pharmacokinetic parameters of the molecules could be tailored by further structural modifications.  相似文献
