Solutions are first given in terms of repeated integrals and then for the case, where the underlying independent random variables have an absolutely continuous probability density function. When the correlation is positive, $P( M_n \leq x ) \ =\ \sum\limits _{j=1}^{\infty } \beta _{j, x} \ \nu _{j, x}^{n},$ where $\{\nu _{j, x}\}$ are the eigenvalues (singular values) of a Fredholm kernel and $\beta _{j, x}$ are some coefficients determined later. A similar result is given when the correlation is negative. The result is analogous to large deviations expansions for estimates, since the maximum need not be standardized to have a limit. For the continuous case the integral equations for the left and right eigenfunctions are converted to first order linear differential equations. The eigenvalues satisfy an equation of the form $\sum\limits _{i=1}^{\infty } w_i ( \lambda -\theta _i )^{-1}=\lambda -\theta _0$ for certain known weights $\{ w_i\}$ and eigenvalues $\{ \theta _i\}$ of a given matrix. This paper presents micromechanics based analysis of elastic strain and changes in the texture of poled polycrystalline ferroelectric PZT ceramics for direct comparison with synchrotron X-ray measurements. The grains are modelled as spherical inclusions, to which transformation strains are assigned depending on the fractions of different ferroelectric domains. Eshelby's inclusion problem with the classical self-consistent method is applied to evaluate the elastic state of the grains. In particular, the elongation due to lattice elastic strain is calculated as a function of inclination Ψ relative to the polar axis. The ratio of diffraction peak intensities, corresponding to the domain fractions, is also expressed as a function of Ψ. This analysis identifies the special character of the reflection, for which the lattice strain along in the stress free state is independent of ferroelectric domain population and hence unaffected by poling. The elongation due to the lattice strain parallel to and peak intensity ratio are expressed in terms of the overall macroscopic strain of a poled specimen, each having a dependence. 相似文献

New methodology for the preparation of a variety of aminoiminohextitols is described. Abstract— Single-strand breaks are produced in the phosphodiester backbone of ultraviolet-light-irradiated 5–bromodeoxyuridine-containing DNA (BU-DNA) after treatment with alkali. No radiation dependent breakage is observed in thymine-containing DNA (thy-DNA). The relative yields of breaks terminated by 5'-hydroxyl and 5'-phosphate groups was determined by measuring the rate of phosphorylation achieved with polynucleotide kinase in BU-DNA single strands before and after treatment with alkaline phosphatase. The ratio of 5'-phosphate to 5' hydroxyl groups ranged from 2.3 to 2.9 in different experiments. When cysteamine was present during irradiation no new end groups were produced.
In order to identify the nucleoside(s) at the 5'-termini, phosphate groups were removed with alkaline phosphatase and the 5'-hydroxyl groups were phosphorylated with polynucleotide kinase. Electrophoresis of enzymatic digests showed a single32 P-labeled component migrating more rapidly than any of the four usual 5'-mononucleotides.
