On the local Chevalley cohomology of the dynamical Lie algebra of a symplectic manifold

We describe the relations between the local Chevalley cohomologies related to the adjoint representation of the Poisson Lie algebra of a symplectic manifold and the Lie algebras of all symplectic or globally Hamiltonian vector fields of the manifold. The proofs are based on the computation of the cohomology of the complex (E, ), where E is the space of multilinear local maps from a vector bundle of a manifold M into the space of forms on M and L=d L.

An Alternative Approach to the PQQ-Triester A novel approach to triethyl 5-methoxy-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-f]quinoline-2,7,9-tricarboxylate ( 6 ), a close precursor of the redox cofactor PQQ of bacterial dehydrogenases, is described. Diethyl 2-oxopent-3-ynedioate ( 5 ) was used as building block for the annelation of the quinoline unit. The annelation proceeds in two steps via the diastereoselective formation of diethyl (Z)-4-{[2-(ethoxycarbonyl)-5-methoxyindol-6-yl]amiono}-2-oxopent-3-enedioate ((Z)- 7 ) followed by acid-catalyzed cyclocondensation.     

Synthetic magnetic opals

We present studies of novel nanocomposites of BiNi impregnated into the structure of opals as well as inverse opals. Atomic force microscopy and high resolution elemental analyses show a highly ordered structure and uniform distribution of the BiNi filler in the matrix. These BiNi-based nanocomposites are found to exhibit distinct ferromagnetic-like ordering with transition temperature of about 675 K. As far as we know there exists no report in literature on any BiNi compound which is magnetic.     

Quasi-free quantum stochastic integrals for the CAR and CCR

A theory of quantum martingales and quantum stochastic integrals in quasi-free representations of the CAR and CCR is presented. For the CAR, the results generalize some of those developed in Barnett, Streater, and Wilde (J. Funct. Anal.48 (1982), 172–212, J. London Math. Soc.27 (1983), 373–384) and for the CCR, the results contain the standard Itô theory of stochastic integration with respect to Brownian motion as a special case.     

Study of low-frequency relaxation phenomena in thin-film capacitors

Experiments are described to determine the dispersion characteristics at low frequencies of thin-film capacitances. It is supposed that mobile positive ions are responsible for the observed relaxation phenomena. The number of mobile ions and their relaxation time are investigated in function of the applied voltage for thin films of SiO, Al₂O₃, Ta₂O₅ and polytetrafluoraethylene. Theoretical models to explain the experimental data are also given.
