We show that the isotropy types of the singularities of Riemannian orbifolds are not determined by the Laplace spectrum. Indeed, we construct arbitrarily large families of mutually isospectral orbifolds with different isotropy types. The modified quantum nonlinear Schrodinger equation of ultra-short pulse propagating in fiber is derived using dispersion relation and the Hamiltonian of the transmission system. The derived equation is solved with linearization approximation, and modulation instability is analyzed. The equation is also solved with Hartree approximation. The results indicate that pulse power, loss and self-steeping effect change the critical frequency, the maximum gain and the gain spectrum range, but the third order dispersion has no effect on modulation instability. The expectation value of optical field is average of a set of modified classical solitons, and higher order terms change the amplitude, pulse position and phase of soliton.  相似文献

A status report is presented on the existence of quarks carrying the Dirac unit of magnetic chargeg = (137/2)e. The Paschen-Back effect in dyonium is discussed. From the dyonium model, Akers predicted the existence of a new meson at 1814 MeV withI G(JPC) = 0+(0–+). Experimental evidence now confirms the existence of the meson resonance.  相似文献

Consider a labeled convex n-gon in the plane and a point x in general position in the interior. We associate with this a collection (x) of 3-element sets, namely those 3-element subsets of the vertices which contain x in their interior. We investigate the problem of characterizing those collections of subsets which can be represented in this matter. Current and logarithm-current distributions on a three-dimensional random-bond percolation cubic network were studied at the percolation threshold by computer simulations. Predictions of a hierarchical model that combine fractal structure and randomness agree with our numerical simulations. In the thermodynamic limit the logarithm-current distribution exhibits ann(ln(i))i 1/3 dependence below some characteristic currenti c. This distribution may scale with lni/lnL, but the data are insufficient to make this a definite conclusion. Due to the small range of lnL considered, a study of the moments does not reveal this behavior and a study of the distribution itself is required.  相似文献
