An analysis of the two-vortex case in the Chern-Simons Higgs model

Extending work of Caffarelli-Yang and Tarantello, we present a variational existence proof for two-vortex solutions of the periodic Chern-Simons Higgs model and analyze the asymptotic behavior of these solutions as the parameter coupling the gauge field with the scalar field tends to 0. 激光等离子体X光辐射非平衡特性实验研究

在ＬＦ－１１和ＬＦ－１２高功率激光装置上进行的实验中，设计了一些特定的激光束－金腔靶－探测器条件，创造了激光直接加热、准辐射加热和激光、Ｘ光混合加热三种物理条件，采用软Ｘ光透射光栅能谱时空分辨技术，测量了腔靶、缝靶和双孔靶等高分辨Ｘ光能谱，研究了激光等离子体Ｘ光辐射非平衡特性。     

Rook placements and cellular decomposition of partition varieties

In this paper, we study the geometric implication of rook length polynomials introduced in the author's thesis. We introduce the idea of partition varieties. These are certain algebraic varieties which have CW-complex structures. We prove that the cell structure of a partition variety is in one-to-one correspondence with rook placements on a Ferrers board defined by a corresponding partition. This correspondence enables one to characterize the geometric attachment between a cell and the closure of another cell combinatorially. The main result of this paper is that the Poincaré polynomial of cohomology for a partition variety is given by the corresponding rook length polynomial.

This paper serves as a transition of our studies from combinatorial aspects to the geometric aspects. To make the transition accessible, we give three appendices on the known results on Grassmann manifolds and flag manifolds which are used frequently. One appendix is on a technical lemma on embeddings of manifolds.     

Displacement wave of the blood vessel —A mechanical model

According to clinical observations and model experiment, we have developed a theoretical model and obtained its mathematical equations to investigate the displacement wave of the blood vessel. The waveform and its occurrence criterion have been obtained by using perturbation theory and numerical method. The present study suggests that the displacement wave is associated with the blood velocity waveform and the machanical behaviour of the blood vessel, but not with the pressure waveform. The clinical criterion is in agreement with the observations.

以LCD为目标的自动定焦判据选择

在光学综合自动测量中 ,使用液晶显示屏作为分划板可以大大简化结构 ,提高效率 ,真正地实现自动测量。由于液晶显示具有对比度低、噪声大等特点 ,所以根据液晶的这些特点以及图像处理和CCD信号接收的特点选择两种适用的判据进行了分析和试验比较 ,并给出了结果。结果表明 ,这两种判别函数都适用于以液晶显示屏为目标和用图像处理方法进行光学参数测量的系统 ,其中锐度判别函数更优于信息熵判别函数 ,前者具有更好的抗干扰性和稳定性 ,而且其判定结果更接近目视清晰度判别     

对比度敏感理论在LED视频图象显示中的应用

在LED大屏幕视频图象显示的研究中,图象的显示质量取决于众多因素,如亮度、色彩、对比度及可视角度等,本文从显示对比度分析方面着手,侧重点放在如何提高显示对比度上,并在此基础上确定提高显示图象的可视质量的方法.     

金箔靶背侧X光辐射的实验研究

利用星光Ⅱ激光装置钕玻璃三倍频激光辐照金箔靶，实验研究了金箔靶背侧发射的Ｘ光能谱，时间过程和秀过激光能量。结果表明：金箔背侧发的Ｘ光可以作为一种较干净的强Ｘ光射源。     

Subgraphs and well-quasi-ordering

Let ?? be a class of graphs and let ? be the subgraph or the induced subgraph relation. We call ? an ideal (with respect to ?) if ? implies that ?. In this paper, we study the ideals that are well-quasiordered by ?. The following are our main results. If ? is the subgraph relation, we characterize the well-quasi-ordered ideals in terms of exluding subgraphs. If?is the induced subgraph relation, we present three wellquasi-ordered ideals. We also construct examples to disprove some of the possible generalizations of our results. The connections between some of our results and digraphs are considered in this paper too.     

On the definable ideal generated by the plus cupping c.e. degrees

In this paper, we will prove that the plus cupping degrees generate a definable ideal on c.e. degrees different from other ones known so far, thus answering a question asked by Li and Yang (Proceedings of the 7th and the 8th Asian Logic Conferences. World Scientific Press, Singapore, 2003).
