The copolymerization of N-phenylmaleimide (NPMI) with ethyl phenylacrylate (EPA) in a mixture of dioxane (DIO) and pyridine (Py) was investigated. The apparent monomer reactivity ratio r1 (NPMI) = 0.07 ± 0.01 and r2 (EPA) = 0.09 ± 0.02 in DIO was turned to r1 (NPMI) = 3.67 ± 0.07 and r2 (EPA) = 0 ± 0.03 in Py. The copolymerization of NPMI and EPA with the fixed feed ratio (mol/mol 1 : 1) in different volume ratio of DIO/Py showed that the copolymer composition might be varied in a wide range from the 93.5% of NPMI contents in copolymer to 48.7%. When the volume fraction of Py in the mixture of DIO and Py was <10%, the copolymer with nice alternating structure was obtained and the copolymerization could be inhibited completely by hydroquinone; if the fraction of Py was >10%, the following two kinds of copolymers were formed: a copolymer in which the content of NPMI increased with the Py and the copolymerization also could be inhibited by hydroquinone and a copolymer with low molecular weight almost completely composed of homopolymer of NPMI and is not affected by radical inhibitor as hydroquinone. The transformation of the copolymerization mechanism from the radical to anionic, which was dependent on the volume ratio of DIO and Py, was suggested. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Poly(limonene carbonate) (PLC) has been highlighted as an attractive substitute to petroleum derived plastics, due to its utilisation of CO2 and bio-based limonene as feedstocks, offering an effective carbon capture and utilisation pathway. Our study investigates the techno-economic viability and environmental sustainability of a novel process to produce PLC from citrus waste derived limonene, coupled with an anaerobic digestion process to enable energy cogeneration and waste recovery maximisation. Computational process design was integrated with a life cycle assessment to identify the sustainability improvement opportunities. PLC production was found to be economically viable, assuming sufficient citrus waste is supplied to the process, and environmentally preferable to polystyrene (PS) in various impact categories including climate change. However, it exhibited greater environmental burdens than PS across other impact categories, although the environmental performance could be improved with a waste recovery system, at the cost of a process design shift towards energy generation. Finally, our study quantified the potential contribution of PLC to mitigating the escape of atmospheric CO2 concentration from the planetary boundary. We emphasise the importance of a holistic approach to process design and highlight the potential impacts of biopolymers, which is instrumental in solving environmental problems facing the plastic industry and building a sustainable circular economy.  相似文献

We propose a method to design pulses in a resonant three-level system to enhance the robustness of non-adiabatic geometric gate operations. By optimizing the shape of the pulse envelope, we show that the gate operations are more robust against frequency detuning than they are with Gaussian and square pulses. Our method provides a way to design pulses that can be employed in a system where robustness against frequency variations or inhomogeneous broadening is required, and may be extended to ensure robustness against other physical imperfections such as intensity fluctuations and random noises.  相似文献

砂土孔隙比及所受压力是其力学特性的重要影响因素. 本文基于砂土临界状态线特性分析,采用以e-(p/pa)ξ平面内的线性关系描述其等向压缩线. 通过对比分析两种不同压缩线函数 与临界状态线函数之间的关系提出更适合描述砂土在等向压缩下的参考压缩线,并给出了基于参考压缩线的等向硬化规律. 建议了适用于 描述砂土剪切特性的屈服面函数,并给出利用等向压缩和等p路径确定屈服面形状参数μ的方法. 将不同应力比对应的压缩线作为砂土状态参量参考线,以获取潜在强度Mf与特征状态应力比Mc,进而描述砂土压缩与剪切特性;基于等向压缩与等p路径建立了当前应力比与状态参量参考线之间的相关关系,从而实现了砂土状 态参量参考线由参考压缩线向临界状态线平稳过渡. 建立的砂土本构模型共11个参数,均能够通过常规土工试验或经验获取. 基于模型预测与Toyoura砂的等向压缩、三轴不排水剪切试验及排水剪切试验的对比结果,本文建立的砂土本构模型很好地描述了Toyoura 砂在不同孔隙比和不同压力下的压缩与剪切特性.   相似文献

Although LiFePO4/C has been successfully put into practical use in lithium-ion batteries equipped on new energy vehicles, its unsatisfactory low temperature results in poor low performance of lithium-ion batteries, leading to a much smaller continue voyage course at extreme environments with low temperature for electric vehicles. In this paper, the electrochemical performance of the LiFePO4/C prepared by polyol route was investigated at a temperature range from 25 to ?20 °C. Compared to commercial ones, as-prepared LiFePO4/C shows a much better low-temperature performance with a reversible capacity of 30 mA h g?1 even at 5 C under ?20 °C and a capacity retention of 91.1 % after 100 cycles at 0.1 C under 0 °C. Moreover, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) revealed that this outstanding performance at low temperatures could be assigned to uniform carbon coating and the nano-sized particles with a highly crystalline structure.  相似文献

A novel, 100% water-soluble chalcone based chemosensing receptor {1-[3-(2-Hydroxy-phenyl)-3-oxo-propenyl]-naphthalen-2-yloxy}-acetic acid, L was synthesized and characterized. The receptor L is designed based on the chelation enhanced fluorescence (CHEF) mechanism. The chemosensing properties of L were evaluated by UV–vis and fluorescence spectrometric methods. It exhibits highly selective recognition ability towards aluminum ions in water over other metal ions. The binding stoichiometry of L? Al3+ complex is 2:1 by means of Job’s plot and the detection limit is 5.66?×?10??8 M.  相似文献

Natural organic matter (NOM) found in water sources is broadly defined as a mixture of polyfunctional organic molecules, characterized by its complex structure and paramount influence on water quality. Because the inevitable release of pollutants into aquatic environments due to an ineffective control of industrial and agricultural pollution, the evaluation of the interaction of NOM with heavy metals, nanoparticles, organic pollutants and other pollutants in the aquatic environment, has greatly increased. Three-dimensional (3-D) fluorescence has the potential to reveal the interaction mechanisms between NOM and pollutants as well as the source of NOM pollution. In water purification engineering system, the 3-D fluorescence can indicate the variations of NOM composition and gives an effective prediction of water quality as well as the underline water purification mechanisms. Inadequately treated NOM is a cause of precursors of disinfection byproducts (DBPs), posing a potential threat to human health. Effective control and measurement/evaluation of NOM have long been an important factors in the prevention of water pollution. Overall, 3-D fluorescence allows for a rapid identification of organic components thus indicating possible sources of water pollution, mechanisms of pollutant interactions, and possible DBPs formed during conventional treatment of this water. This article reviews the 3-D fluorescence characteristics of NOM in natural water and typical water purification systems. The 3-D fluorescence was effective for indicating the variabilities in NOM composition and chemistry thus providing a better understanding of NOM in natural water system and water engineering system.  相似文献

We demonstrate a diode-laser-pumped solid-state 1.06 μm laser using a novel YAG/Nd:YAG/YAG composite ceramics with a sandwich structure. We optimize the laser performance using different output couplers, pumping beam waists, and cavity lengths. A maximum CW output power of 11 W for the YAG/Nd:YAG/YAG-ceramic laser is obtained at an absorbed pump power of 25 W resulting in a slope efficiency of 49.4%. The excellent output performance shows that the novel YAG/Nd:YAG/YAGceramic material has a great potential in applications with diode-laser pumping.  相似文献

The exact relationship between the bending solutions of functionally graded material (FGM) beams based on the Levinson beam theory and those of the corresponding homogenous beams based on the classical beam theory is presented for the material properties of the FGM beams changing continuously in the thickness direction. The deflection, the rotational angle, the bending moment, and the shear force of FGM Levinson beams (FGMLBs) are given analytically in terms of the deflection of the reference homogenous Euler-Bernoulli beams (HEBBs) with the same loading, geometry, and end supports. Consequently, the solution of the bending of non-homogenous Levinson beams can be simplified to the calculation of transition coefficients, which can be easily determined by variation of the gradient of material properties and the geometry of beams. This is because the classical beam theory solutions of homogenous beams can be easily determined or are available in the textbook of material strength under a variety of boundary conditions. As examples, for different end constraints, particular solutions are given for the FGMLBs under specified loadings to illustrate validity of this approach. These analytical solutions can be used as benchmarks to check numerical results in the investigation of static bending of FGM beams based on higher-order shear deformation theories.  相似文献

In this work, we report the chemical polymerization of pyrrole to obtain thin film of polypyrrole (PPy) hydrochloride deposited onto the electrode of the quartz crystal microbalance (QCM). The film in the base form was exposed to a solution of AgNO3. Electroless reduction for silver ions by the PPy film took place and silver particles were adsorbed onto the film surface. The silver particles content at the PPy films were analyzed by QCM and the results showed that the concentrations of silver uptakes increase as the original AgNO3 solution increases. The morphology of the surface of the PPy film and the silver-PPy film composite were studied by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDX). They showed that the obtained silver particles have spherical, cubic and tetrahedral structures. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transformed infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR) were used to characterize the structure of the powder composite. This work reveals the capability of PPy film coating on QCM in sensing and removing silver from several environmental samples.  相似文献
