The 48Ca(e,e(')n) reaction has been investigated for excitation energies 11-25 MeV and momentum transfers 0.22-0.43 fm(-1) at the superconducting Darmstadt electron linear accelerator S-DALINAC. Electric dipole and quadrupole plus monopole strength distributions are extracted from a multipole decomposition of the spectra. Their fragmented structure is described by microscopic calculations allowing for coupling of the basic particle-hole excitations to more complex configurations. Comparison of the excitation spectrum of the residual nucleus 47Ca with statistical model calculations reveals a 39(5)% contribution of direct decay to the damping of the giant dipole resonance.  相似文献

We compare two different possibilities of including meson-loop corrections in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model: a strict 1/N c expansion in the next-to-leading order and a nonperturbative scheme corresponding to a one-meson-loop approximation to the effective action. Both schemes are consistent with chiral symmetry, in particular, with the Goldstone theorem and the Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner relation. The numerical part at zero temperature focuses on the pion and the ρ-meson sector. For the latter, meson-loop corrections are crucial in order to include the dominant ρ → ππ-decay channel, while the standard Hartree + RPA approximation only contains unphysical $m_\pi ,f_\pi ,\left\langle {\bar \psi \psi } \right\rangle $ -decay channels. We find that $q\bar q$ , and quantities related to the ρ-meson self-energy can be described reasonably with one parameter set in the 1/N c-expansion scheme, whereas we did not succeed in obtaining such a fit in the nonperturbative scheme. We also investigate the temperature dependence of the quark condensate. Here, we find consistency with the chiral perturbation theory to the lowest order. Similarities and differences of both schemes are discussed.  相似文献

A fully microscopic, antisymmetrized DWBA analysis of (p, p') spectra in the giant resonance region of 16O, 40Ca and 208Pb is presented. The nuclear structure information is derived from RPA wave functions calculated in large configuration spaces. The theoretical spectra are in general in agreement with the experimental results. A new interpretation follows from our. investigation for the spectrum of the giant dipole region in the heavy nuclei: This resonance structure is mainly due to the breathing mode, whereas the electric dipole contribution is much smaller.  相似文献

The properties of the high-temperature phase of Yang-Mills theory in Landau gauge are investigated by extending an earlier study on the infinite-temperature limit to finite temperatures. To this end the Dyson-Schwinger equations for the propagators of the gluon and the Faddeev-Popov ghost are solved analytically in the infrared and numerically at non-vanishing momenta. Gluons, polarized transversely with respect to the heat bath are found to comply with the Gribov-Zwanziger and the Kugo-Ojima scenario, while longitudinally polarized gluons are screened. Therefore the high-temperature phase is strongly interacting. It is furthermore conjectured that Yang-Mills theory undergoes a first-order phase transition. Convergence properties of Taylor expansions of observables, which are also used in lattice QCD calculations at non-zero chemical potential, are analyzed in an effective Nf=2+1Nf=2+1 flavor Polyakov quark–meson model. A recently developed algorithmic technique allows the calculation of higher-order Taylor expansion coefficients in functional approaches. This novel technique is for the first time applied to an effective Nf=2+1Nf=2+1 flavor Polyakov quark–meson model and the findings are compared with the full model solution at finite densities. The results are used to discuss prospects for locating the QCD phase boundary and a possible critical endpoint in the phase diagram.  相似文献

Within the framework of Schwinger-Dyson and Bethe-Salpeter equations we investigate the importance of pions for the quark-gluon interaction. To this end we choose a truncation for the quark-gluon vertex that includes intermediate pion degrees of freedom and adjust the interaction such that unquenched lattice results for various current quark masses are reproduced. After extrapolation to the physical point we find a considerable contribution of the pion back reaction to the quark mass function as well as to the chiral condensate.  相似文献
