The reduced Whitehead group SK1 of a graded division algebra graded by a torsion-free abelian group is studied. It is observed that the computations here
are much more straightforward than in the non-graded setting. Bridges to the ungraded case are then established by the following
two theorems: It is proved that SK1 of a tame valued division algebra over a henselian field coincides with SK1 of its associated graded division algebra. Furthermore, it is shown that SK1 of a graded division algebra is isomorphic to SK1 of its quotient division algebra. The question of existence of a maximal subgroup in the multiplicative group D* of a division algebra D finite-dimensional over its center F is investigated. A rotational band of nine γ-rays has been observed in133Sm. The moment of inertia of the band indicates that it has a higher deformation than expected for states in nuclei in this region. The properties are such that it can be interpreted as being due to the odd neutron occupying the ν i2/13 nn intruder orbital. Mucus represents a major barrier to sustained and targeted drug delivery to mucosal epithelium. Ideal drug carriers should not only rapidly diffuse across mucus, but also bind the epithelium. Unfortunately, ligand‐conjugated particles often exhibit poor penetration across mucus. In this work, we explored a two‐step “pretargeting” approach through engineering a bispecific antibody that binds both cell‐surface ICAM‐1 and polyethylene glycol (PEG) on the surface of nanoparticles, thereby effectively decoupling cell targeting from particle design and formulation. When tested in a mucus‐coated Caco‐2 culture model that mimics the physiological process of mucus clearance, pretargeting increased the amount of PEGylated particles binding to cells by around 2‐fold or more compared to either non‐targeted or actively targeted PEGylated particles. Pretargeting also markedly enhanced particle retention in mouse intestinal tissues. Our work underscores pretargeting as a promising strategy to improve the delivery of therapeutics to mucosal surfaces. 相似文献

Using a method whereby molecular and atomic ions are independently selected, an isobarically pure beam of 70Se ions was postaccelerated to an energy of 206 MeV using REX-ISOLDE. Coulomb-excitation yields for states in the beam and target nuclei were deduced by recording deexcitation gamma rays in the highly segmented MINIBALL gamma-ray spectrometer in coincidence with scattered particles in a silicon detector. At these energies, the Coulomb-excitation yield for the first 2+ state is expected to be strongly sensitive to the sign of the spectroscopic quadrupole moment through the nuclear reorientation effect. Experimental evidence is presented here for a prolate shape for the first 2+ state in 70Se, reopening the question over whether there are, as reported earlier, deformed oblate shapes near to the ground state in the light selenium isotopes. 相似文献

[18F]GE-180 has been demonstrated to be a promising new positron emission tomography radiotracer for targeting translocator protein. PET imaging of TSPO will enable measurement of neuroinflammation and microglia activity in vivo. The synthetic route used in the initial discovery of GE-180, whilst enabling the rapid evaluation of the structure–activity relationships (SAR) in this molecular class, was not high yielding and not suitable for scale-up. Here we present an optimised route towards GE-180 and the radiolabelling precursor of [18F]GE-180 with significantly improved yields due to a strategy which improves the regioselectivity of the key indole formation step of the synthesis. 相似文献

We have fabricated a bandgap-guiding hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) capable of transmitting and compressing ultrashort pulses in the green spectral region around 532 nm. When propagating subpicosecond pulses through 1 m of this fiber, we have observed soliton-effect temporal compression by up to a factor of 3 to around 100 fs. This reduces the wavelength at which soliton effects have been observed in hollow-core PCF by over 200 nm. We have used the pulses delivered at the output of the fiber to machine micrometer-scale features in copper. 相似文献

The states in the yrast band of132 Sm have been identified for the first time up to Jπ=16+. The yrast band of130Nd has also been extended from Jπ=16+ to 24+. The energy of the first 2+ state in132Sm indicates that the quadrupole deformation ε2 ~ 0.3 and is still increasing as the neutron number N decreases across the samarium isotopes. The results for130Nd allow the (h2/11)2 proton crossing frequency to be determined as ω=0.325 ± 0.005 MeV/?. This result is compared with cranked shell model predictions. 相似文献
