Elastic Organic Crystals Based on Barbituric Derivative: Multi-faceted Bending and Flexible Optical Waveguide

Elastic organic single crystals with light-emitting and multi-faceted bending properties are extremely rare. They have potential application in optical materials and have attracted the extensive attention of researchers. In this paper, we reported a structurally simple barbituric derivative DBDT , which was easily crystallized and gained long needle-like crystals (centimeter-scale) in DCM/CH₃OH (v/v=2/8). Upon applying or removing the mechanical force, both the (100) and (040) faces of the needle-like crystal showed reversible bending behaviour, showing the nature of multi-faceted bending. The average hardness (H) and elastic modulus (E) were 0.28±0.01 GPa and 4.56±0.03 GPa for the (040) plane, respectively. Through the analysis of the single crystal data, it could be seen that the van der waals (C−H⋅⋅⋅π and C−H⋅⋅⋅C), H-bond (C−H⋅⋅⋅O) and π⋅⋅⋅π interactions between molecules were responsible for the generation of the crystal elasticity. Interestingly, elastic crystals exhibited optical waveguide characteristics in straight or bent state. The optical loss coefficients measured at 627 nm were 0.7 dBmm⁻¹ (straight state) and 0.9 dBmm⁻¹ (bent state), while the optical loss coefficient (α) were 1.5 dBmm⁻¹ (straight state) and 1.8 dBmm⁻¹ (bent state) at 567 nm. Notably, the elastic organic molecular crystal based on barbituric derivative could be used as the candidate for flexible optical devices.     

Interaction of Hydrogen with Ceria: Hydroxylation,Reduction, and Hydride Formation on the Surface and in the Bulk

The study reports the first attempt to address the interplay between surface and bulk in hydride formation in ceria (CeO₂) by combining experiment, using surface sensitive and bulk sensitive spectroscopic techniques on the two sample systems, i.e., CeO₂(111) thin films and CeO₂ powders, and theoretical calculations of CeO₂(111) surfaces with oxygen vacancies (O_v) at the surface and in the bulk. We show that, on a stoichiometric CeO₂(111) surface, H₂ dissociates and forms surface hydroxyls (OH). On the pre-reduced CeO_2−x samples, both films and powders, hydroxyls and hydrides (Ce−H) are formed on the surface as well as in the bulk, accompanied by the Ce³⁺ ↔ Ce⁴⁺ redox reaction. As the O_v concentration increases, hydroxyl is destabilized and hydride becomes more stable. Surface hydroxyl is more stable than bulk hydroxyl, whereas bulk hydride is more stable than surface hydride. The surface hydride formation is the kinetically favorable process at relatively low temperatures, and the resulting surface hydride may diffuse into the bulk region and be stabilized therein. At higher temperatures, surface hydroxyls can react to produce water and create additional oxygen vacancies, increasing its concentration, which controls the H₂/CeO₂ interaction. The results demonstrate a large diversity of reaction pathways, which have to be taken into account for better understanding of reactivity of ceria-based catalysts in a hydrogen-rich atmosphere.     

有机磷化合物的质谱研究(Ⅶ)——二氮二磷杂环戊烷衍生物的化学电离质谱

本文报道了七种4.5-二氧代-2-硫代-1,3,2,4-二氮二磷杂环戊烷衍生物的化学电离质谱(CIMS,甲烷为反应气),结果表明:CIMS中准分子离子MH~+为基峰离子;MH~+离子易发生失去H_2S,CO,C_3H_6等小分子的裂解,(M+C_2H_5)~+离子存在再断裂。     

荧光光谱法研究卟啉与金属离子配位反应机理初探

本文用荧光光谱法初步研究了卟啉与金属离子配位反应机理和部分催化剂的催化机理.实验发现,在一定条件下,卟啉以一种与其主要存在形式不同的变形体H₂P^*存在,根据H₂P^*的存在和产生的条件,对卟啉与金属离子配位反应的一般条件作出了较为满意的阐述.     

SYNTHESIS AND-CHARACTERIZATION OF THE SOLUBLE, HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT AND LADDERLIKE POLYHYDROSILSESQUIOXANE AND ITS COPOLYMERS

The high molecular ladderlike polyhydrosilsesquioxane (LPHSQ) and its copolymer, ladderlike random copolymethylhydrosilsesquioxane (LR-PMHSQ) and ladderlike block copolymethylsilsesqui-oxane(LB-PMHSQ) have been synthesized by a preaminolysis reaction of the corresponding trichlorosilane with 1 ,4-phenylene diamine(PDA) then by hydrolysis and polycondensation reactions The thermographs of these polymers measured by DSC method indicate that these macromolecular backbones are very rigid as seen from the DSC curves which are almost horizontal from room temperature until 350 ~C without noticeable glass transition. The content of Si—H group in the polymers can be regulated by changing the composition of the two copolymerized monomers. So the ladderlike polymers including its copolymers can be the useful precursors for the functional polymers, especially such as fishbone-like liquid crystalline polymers.     

基于微机械加工技术的双腔型生物传感器

利用微机械加工技术研制了具有三维结构的腔型传感器，双腔型工作电极与Ag/Agcl参比电极集成在同一微芯片上。考察了微腔型电极的电化学特性及其对H2O2含量的测定。并以此为基础电极制备了半乳糖、葡萄糖双腔型生物传感器。结果表明，该传感器可同时测定半乳糖、葡萄糖双组分，线性上限分别为4．5mmol/L和4．0mmol/L。而且在测试双组分过程中，没有观察到明显的交叉干扰现象。     

Study on the Reaction of Benzimidazolium Salt with Amine Compounds

The addition-hydrolysis reaction of benzimidazolium salt with some mono- and bifunctional amine nucleophiles is reported,and a novel method of biomimetic synthesis for formamides and heterocycle compounds is provided.     

A new isocoumarin from bark of Pellodendron chinense

A new isocoumarin, 3-acetyl-3,4-dihydro-5,6-dimethoxy-1H-2-benzopyran-1-one, was isolated from the cortex of Phellodendron chinense schneid. The structure was determined on the basis of spectroscopic evidences.     

Theoretical studies on the metathesis processes, (Tp(PH3)MR(eta 2-H[bond]CH3)]-->[Tp(PH3)M(CH3)(eta 2-H[bond]R)] (M=Fe,Ru, and Os; R=H and CH3)

Theoretical calculations on the metathesis process, [Tp(PH3)MR(eta 2-H[bond]CH3)] --> [Tp(PH3)M(CH3)(eta 2-H[bond]R)] (M=Fe, Ru, and Os; R=H and CH3), have been systematically carried out to study their detailed reaction mechanisms. Other than the one-step mechanism via a four-center transition state and the two-step mechanism through an oxidative addition/reductive elimination pathway, a new one-step mechanism, with a transition state formed under oxidative addition, has been found. Based on the intrinsic reaction coordinate calculations, we found that the trajectories of the transferring hydrogen atom in the metathesis processes studied are similar to each other regardless of the nature of reaction mechanisms.     

对固体圆二色光谱测试方法的再认识——兼谈“浓度效应”

对近期发展的固体圆二色(CD)光谱测试方法进行了概述、评价和比较, 着重探讨了“浓度效应”的存在使固体CD光谱失真的原因. 通过对本课题组和其他作者已报道的四种化合物的固体CD谱再测试的反思, 强调了依手性化合物的手性光谱学性质不同, 根据浓度梯度实验选择其合适测试浓度的必要性. 对固有手性的阻转异构化合物(S)-1,1'-联二萘酚(S-BINOL)进行了成膜法固体CD谱浓度梯度测试, 发现所得固体薄膜CD谱中也存在着“浓度效应”
