An SCF MO calculation followed by extensive configuration interaction between all singly-excited singlet states has been performed for the excimer of naphthalene in a perfect and in some distorted sandwich structures. With these results an assignment is given for the bonds in the absorption spectrum of the excimer of 1-methyl naphthalene. It is further shown that the similarity between the optical properties of the 1-methyl naphthalene excimer and those of 1,1′-binaphthyl in fluid solution, is also reflected by the calculations.  相似文献

The Crystal and Molecular Structure of Jodo-bis-[2-(diphenylphosphinomethyl)pyridine]nickel(II)-jodide, which is a Diamagnetic, Square-pyramidal Complex with d8-Configuration The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound has been determined by single-crystal X-ray methods with 5119 independent reflextions and refined to R = 0.061 for 4321 observed reflections. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P21/n, a = 9.016 ± 0.005, b = 21.612 ± 0.012, c = 17.871 ± 0.010 Å, with and β = 96.32 ± 0.15°; Z = 4. The structure was solved by PATTERSON and FOURIER methods and refined by least squares. The molecule cation has approximate Cs-symmetry. The co-ordination around the nickel atom is approximate square pyramidal with two nitrogen and two phosphorus atoms in the basal plane and the jodine atom in the apex. The Ni? J-distance with 3.047(3) Å is very long. In the basal plane, the nitrogen and phosphorus atoms have cis configuration and the geometric arrangements by the two chelate-5-rings are different. The mean Ni? N(1.963(13)Å) and Ni? P(2.166(5)Å) bond lengths are considerably 0.05 longer and 0.10 Å shorter respectively than the corresponding covalent bonding values, derived from the sum of the covalent radii.  相似文献

The low resolution and complete high resolution mass spectra of a series of methyl and deuterium substituted bicyclo[4.1.0]heptane-2-one derivatives have been measured. An attempt has been made to test the operation of a fragmentation process analogous to the known photochemical rearrangement, and to determine if the substitution effects critical to the photorearrangement also influence the electron-impact process. The fragmentation pattern of these conjugated cyclopropyl ketones is detailed and the influence of the cyclopropyl ring is discussed. It is suggested that electron-impact-induced rearrangements which are analogous to photochemical transformations will be relatively low energy processes and will remain prominent at low ionizing voltages.  相似文献

Several chromatographic methods for the determination of aflatoxins in agricultural and food products are reviewed. During the past two decades, identification and determination of aflatoxins were done by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) because it was easy, fast and inexpensive. However, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using fluorescence detection is now the method of choice for determining aflatoxins and is also growing in popularity for their identification. The reasons for selecting HPLC over TLC can be summarized as the ability to analyze for a wide variety of compounds, including compounds that are easily degraded by heat, light or air, the ease of adaptation to confirmatory procedures, the potential for automation and the dramatic improvement in instrumentation, including the development of increasingly sensitive fluorescence and electrochemical detectors and short, high-resolution, reversed-phase columns.  相似文献

Syntheses are reported of new 4,4'-dialkyl-2,2'-bithiazole oligomers that have alkenoxy side chains that are capable of easy conversion to oligomers with functionalized side chains, e.g., terminally substituted hydroxy chains. The crystal structures of two representative oligomers (4,4',4' ',4' "-tetra-(2-propenoxymethyl)-2,2',5',5' ',2' ',2' "-quaterthiazole (3P2) and 4,4',4' ',4' "-tetra-(3-hydroxypropyloxymethyl)-2,2',5',5' ',2' ',2' "-quaterthiazole (3H2)) were determined; 3P2 crystallizes in a pi-stacked motif with two molecules per unit cell, whereas 3H2 forms pi-stacks that are linked with hydrogen bonds to form infinite two-dimensional sheets with one molecule per unit cell. A comparison of the UV-vis spectra of the compounds in solution and in the solid state provides unequivocal evidence for the presence of a Davydov splitting, W(D) approximately 0.2 eV, in solid 3P2. The spectra are interpreted in the framework of molecular exciton theory to extract a value of the intermolecular transfer integral, J approximately 0.2 eV, for a total exciton bandwidth of ca. 0.8 eV. Monte Carlo calculations were used to determine the density of states of the exciton band and the absorption and emission line shapes of the 0 <-- 0 transition. It is suggested that the "three-humped" absorption profile typical of partially crystalline, regioregular polymers is the "optical signature" of pi-stacking.  相似文献

Two-dimensional electrophoretic separation and immobilization of proteins onto inert membranes for subsequent amino acid sequence and amino acid composition analysis is described as a rapid procedure for the identification or characterization of proteins from complex mixtures. This method avoids the drawbacks of classical purification and isolation methods which involve time-consuming operations with low resolution and, often, insufficient yields. Excellent overall yields of minor amounts (in the low microgram range) using this method allow for sequence determination of yet inaccessible proteins. Solubilized cell proteins of mouse brain were separated by high resolution two-dimensional electrophoresis and electroblotted onto a siliconized glass fiber membrane. The immobilized proteins were stained with Coomassie Brilliant Blue R-250, and twelve proteins spots were then submitted to both Edman degradation and amino acid analysis. Proteins were identified by comparison of the experimentally determined amino acid composition with a dataset derived from the Protein Identification Resource (PIR) protein sequence database. Eight out of twelve proteins tested were identified by amino acid analysis and confirmed by N-terminal sequence determination.  相似文献

In terms of the Avrami equation, the effects of selected organic pigments on the kinetic parameters of the isothermal crystallization of coloured polyamide 6 were examined in the temperature range 468–478 K. It was found that B Blue and BB Red are active nucleating agents, which is acribed to their crystalline structure. G Orange slightly accelerates the crystallization of PA 6 at lower temperatures and concentrations, whereas in other conditions its effect is the opposite.The isothermal data were confirmed by the results of non-isothermal crystallization. The degree of supercooling corresponding to the peak of the DSC curve was the measured feature in this case.It was found that B Blue and BB Red reduce the free energy of formation of criticalsize nuclei by 20 and 12%, respectively, which is reflected in the rates of crystallization.
Zusammenfassung Mit Hilfe der Avrami Gleichung wurde der Einfluß einiger ausgewählter organischer Pigmente auf die kinetischen Parameter der isothermen Kristallisation gefärbter Polyamide 6 im Temperaturbereich 468–478 K untersucht. B Blue und BB Red erwiesen sich als aktive Keimbilder, was mit Hilfe ihrer kristallinen Struktur erklärt werden kann. Bei niedrigeren Temperaturen und geringeren Konzentrationen wird die Kristallisation von PA 6 durch G Orange leicht beschleunigt, unter anderen Bedingungen kann das Gegenteil beobachtet werden. Die isothermen Daten wurden durch die Ergebnisse bei nichtisothermer Kristallisation bekräftigt. In diesem Falle wurde das dem DSC Peak entsprechende Maß an Unterkühlung untersucht. Es wurde gefunden, daß B Blue und BB Red die freie Energie zur Bildung von Keimen kritischer Größe um 20 bzw. 12% herabsetzen, was sich in den Kristallisationsgeschwindigkeiten widerspiegelt.

Monte Carlo simulations have been performed to explore the solution structure of ethyl, isopropyl, isobutyl, and tertiary butyl alcohols in pure water, pure acetonitrile, and different mixtures of the two solvents. The explicit solvent studies in NpT ensembles at T = 298 K illustrate that the solute "discriminates" the solvent's components and that the composition of the first solvation shell differs from that of the bulk solution. Since the polarizable continuum dielectric method (PCM) does not presently model the solvation of molecules with both polar and apolar sites in mixed protic solvents, we suggest a direction for further program development wherein a continuum dielectric method would accept more than one solvent and the solute sites would be solvated by user-defined solvent components. The prevailing solvation model will be determined upon the lowest free energy calculated for a particular solvation pattern of the solute having a specific conformational/tautomeric state. Characterization of equilibrium hydrogen-bond formation becomes a complicated problem that depends on the chemical properties of the solute and its conformation, as well as upon the varying nature of the first solvation shell. For example, while the number of hydrogen bonds to secondary and tertiary alcohol solutes are nearly constant in pure water and in water-acetonitrile mixtures with at least 50% water content, the number of hydrogen bonds to primary alcohols gradually decreases for most of their conformations when acetonitrile content is increased. Nonetheless, the calculations indicate that O-H...O(water) hydrogen bonds are still possible in a small fraction of the arrangements for the solution models with water content of 30% or less. The isopentene solute does not form any observable hydrogen bonds, despite having an electron-rich, double-bond site.  相似文献
