Isobar separation at FRS-ESR – a development towards pure isomeric stored beams

One important goal of the ILIMA project at FAIR is the study of masses and decay properties of relativistic isomeric beams stored and cooled in the planned storage-ring complex. A new scheme is described, where a storage-cooler ring is used for high-resolution mass separation. Experimental results on the separation of the isobaric pair ¹⁴⁰Pr-¹⁴⁰Ce are presented. P. Homomorphic images of finite subdirectly irreducible unary algebras

We prove that a finite unary algebra with at least two operation symbols is a homomorphic image of a (finite) subdirectly irreducible algebra if and only if the intersection of all its subalgebras which have at least two elements is nonempty. High order linear initial-value problems and Schauder bases

In this paper we approximate the solution of a linear initial-value problem, making use of a Schauder basis for certain Banach space associated with such a differential problem. In addition, we apply that results in order to calculate numerically the response from a structure modelled by a three degree-of-freedom mass–damper–spring system.     

The proportional hazards regression model with staggered entries: A strong martingale approach

The proportional hazards regression model, when subjects enter the study in a staggered fashion, is studied. A strong martingale approach is used to model the two-time parameter counting processes. It is shown that well-known univariate results such as weak convergence and martingale inequalities can be extended to this two-dimensional model. Strong martingale theory is also used to prove weight convergence of a general weighted goodness-of-fit process and its weighted bootstrap counterpart.     

Multiphonon renormalization of the spectrum of two-dimensional excitons in a magnetic field
