The photoluminescence spectra of the 4-n-pentyl-4′-cyanobiphenyl (5CB) liquid crystal have been investigated in detail at low temperatures 4.2-200 K, for the first time. The spectral data obtained are compared to the results of the luminescence study for the 5CB nematic phase at Т=300 K. The luminescence of the 5CB crystal state is characterized by emissions of both monomer and dimer structures. Besides, there are several energetically and conformationally non-equivalent types of monomers and dimers, and their amounts change with the temperature growth non-monotonously. The 5CB several crystal modifications, having different 5CB monomer and dimer conformers, have been found out below T=160 K. The 5CB crystal-crystal transition at Т=80 K is characterized with a total loss of the fine structure in the 5CB photoluminescence spectrum and a disappearance of the spectral band at 343 nm. At T=140 K, a new spectral band at 424 nm appears; it corresponds to the significantly overlapping 5CB dimers, its intensity grows under further heating. The present investigation gives a tool for the further characterization of the molecular alignments and changes in the 5CB molecular conformations, using the monomer and excimer fluorescence emissions as a probe. The conclusions made are confirmed by the IR-spectroscopy data, measured and analyzed for the 5CB in the same temperature region.  相似文献

Low-energy-particle-induced fission is a cost-effective way to produce neutron-rich nuclei for spectroscopic studies. Fission has been utilized at the IGISOL to produce isotopes for decay and nuclear structure studies, collinear laser spectroscopy and precision mass measurements. The ion guide technique is also very suitable for the fission yield measurements, which can be performed very efficiently by using the Penning trap for fission fragment identification and counting. The proton- and neutron-induced fission yield measurements at the IGISOL are reviewed, and the independent isotopic yields of Zn, Ga, Rb, Sr, Cd and In in 25MeV deuterium-induced fission are presented for the first time. Moving to a new location next to the high intensity MCC30/15 light-ion cyclotron will allow also the use of the neutron-induced fission to produce the neutron rich nuclei at the IGISOL in the future.  相似文献

The Penning-trap mass spectrometer SHIPTRAP was designed for precision mass measurements of radionuclides produced in fusion–evaporation reactions. The latest measurement campaign covered heavy nuclei (A>90) related to the astrophysical rapid proton capture process. The masses of 34 neutron-deficient radionuclides have been measured since February 2006 with relative uncertainties between 5×10−8 and 1×10−7. Furthermore, the use of an octupolar RF excitation for the time-of-flight ion-cyclotron-resonance technique was investigated and an increase of the resolving power by a factor of ten was observed in agreement with simulations. This will allow to resolve isomeric states with excitation energies of a few 10 keV only.   相似文献

The masses of six neutron-deficient rare holmium and thulium isotopes close to the proton drip line were determined with the SHIPTRAP Penning trap mass spectrometer. For the first time the masses of the proton-unbound isotopes 144,145Ho and 147,148Tm were directly measured. The proton separation energies were derived from the measured mass values and compared to predictions from mass formulas. The new values of the proton separation energies are used to determine the location of the proton drip line for holmium and thulium more accurately.  相似文献

Nuclides in the vicinity of 94Ag have been studied with the Penning trap mass spectrometer JYFLTRAP at the Ion-Guide Isotope Separator On-Line. The masses of the two-proton-decay daughter 92Rh and the beta-decay daughter 94Pd of the high-spin isomer in 94Ag have been measured, and the masses of 93Pd and 94Ag have been deduced. When combined with the data from the one-proton- or two-proton-decay experiments, the results lead to contradictory mass excess values for the high-spin isomer in 94Ag, -46 370(170) or -44 970(100) keV, corresponding to excitation energies of 6960(400) or 8360(370) keV, respectively.  相似文献

In an exposure of the chamber Mirabelle at the Serpukhov accelerator, 1 943 interactions at 50 GeV/c and 8 959 at 69 GeV/c have been observed. Topological cross sections and charged multiplicity distributions are presented. The average charged multiplicities found are respectively 5.32 ± 0.13 and 5.89 ± 0.07.  相似文献

This study describes the development of a new blind hierarchical docking method, bhDock, its implementation, and accuracy assessment. The bhDock method uses two‐step algorithm. First, a comprehensive set of low‐resolution binding sites is determined by analyzing entire protein surface and ranked by a simple score function. Second, ligand position is determined via a molecular dynamics‐based method of global optimization starting from a small set of high ranked low‐resolution binding sites. The refinement of the ligand binding pose starts from uniformly distributed multiple initial ligand orientations and uses simulated annealing molecular dynamics coupled with guided force‐field deformation of protein–ligand interactions to find the global minimum. Assessment of the bhDock method on the set of 37 protein–ligand complexes has shown the success rate of predictions of 78%, which is better than the rate reported for the most cited docking methods, such as AutoDock, DOCK, GOLD, and FlexX, on the same set of complexes. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The linearization problem for a Poisson structure near a singular symplectic leaf of nonzero dimension is studied. We obtain the following generalization of the Conn linearization theorem: if the transverse Lie algebra of the leaf is semisimple and compact, then the Poisson structure is linearizable, provided that certain cohomological obstructions vanish.  相似文献
