The frequency-domain technique is applied to measure the photodegradation rate of fluorescein in aqueous solutions. The illuminating light is modulated, and the changes in fluorescence from the illuminated region are detected synchronously. A constant flow rate is imposed on the fluorescein solution to control the mass transport of fluorescein into the illuminated region. The fluorescence response is described by a model that assumes that photodegradation occurs from the triplet excited state. The predictions of the model are consistent with the observed variations in the fluorescence response with flow rate, modulation frequency and incident power. We discuss in this article how the dependence of the model parameters on experimental conditions can be used to infer the photodegradation rate as well as some of the details of the photodegradation mechanism. The results are consistent with the known mechanism of photodegradation of fluorescein. The frequency-domain technique gives a photodegradation rate of 53 s(-1) in an air-saturated solution and 37 s(-1) in solutions purged with argon gas.  相似文献

Chiral aminophosphines Ph2PN(R)(CH2)nN(R)PPh2 1-4 [n= 2, R = CH(CH3)(Ph) 1; n= 3, R = CH(CH2CH3)(Ph) 2, n= 2, R = CH(CH3)(1-naphthyl) 3; n= 2, R = CH(CH3)(C6H11) 4] were synthesized by the reaction of ClPPh2 with the appropriate easily accessible enantiopure amine building blocks. For compounds 1 and 2, the corresponding selenides 5 and 6 were prepared to determine the electronic character of the phosphine moieties. By reaction of 1 with either PdCl2(cod) or PdCl(CH3)(cod) the cis-complexes 7 and 8 were obtained. The molecular structure for complex 7, cis-[PdCl2(1)], was determined by X-ray crystallography. Reaction of PtCl2(cod) with 1 or 2 yielded the corresponding monomeric cis-isomers 9 and 10. The rhodium derivative [RhCl(CO)(1)] (11) was obtained as a mixture of cis and trans-isomers. Preliminary results in the rhodium catalyzed hydroformylation of styrene and vinyl acetate, with ee's up to 51% and high regioselectivities, showed the potential of these chiral aminophosphines for homogeneous catalysis.  相似文献

Chemical and physical analyses of malt, the main ingredient of beer, have been used to predict the concentration of certain volatile compounds in the finished beer.The prediction was done by means of the partial least squares regression (PLS2) in SIMCA. The total data set as well as individual malt clusters were submitted to PLS analysis. Best prediction was obtained by separating the total object matrix in classes according to similarity found by fuzzy pattern recognition (FCV). FCV was also used to separate the beer variables in classes and to select the subset of variables to be predicted.A joint approach of fuzzy pattern recognition to identify groups of samples and SIMCA-PLS2 to predict several dependent variables is suggested as a powerful tool in process-analytical chemistry.  相似文献

Electrical Conductivity of Molten Strontium Chloride-Alkali Chloride Salt Mixtures The temperature and concentration dependence of the specific electrical conductivity is measured for binary fused mixtures SrCl2–MeCl (Me = Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs). The suitability of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) for precise analysis of YNi(2)B(2)C has been investigated. The intensity ratios B/Y and Ni/Y were found to vary during ablation as a function of the ablation conditions. This could be because of fractionation, owing to incongruent ablation or transport and plasma effects. The bottoms and surroundings of the craters were investigated by scanning Auger electron spectrometry. The bottoms of the craters produced by ablation are covered with a thin oxide comparable with that on the polished crystal surface.The craters are surrounded by an oxide layer the dimensions and thickness of which depend on the laser conditions. The formation of this oxide can be assumed to be a result of partial oxidation of sample material during the ablation process; the oxide is then redeposited around the laser crater.  相似文献

Summary A derivatization procedure for the gas chromatographic analysis of bifunctional amines likeβ-adrenergic blocking drugs is described. The method consists of a two-step reaction with methyldichlorophosphine and sulfur in presence of triethylamine to form cyclic methylphosphonothioic derivatives. The properties of these compounds are discussed and the application of the method to the quantitation of ephedrine in human body fluids is presented. A simple yet versatile method was developed to prepare a low-density polymerization initiator gradient, which was combined with surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) to produce a well-defined poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (HEMA) gradient substrate. A smooth variation in film thickness was measured across the gradient, ranging from 20 A to over 80 A, but we observed a nonmonotonic variation in water contact angle. Fits of X-ray reflectivity profiles suggested that at the low graft density end, the polymer chain structure was in a "mushroom" regime, while the polymer chains at high graft density were in a "brush" regime. It was found that the "mushroom" region of the gradient could be made adhesive to cells by adsorbing adhesion proteins, and cell adhesion could be tuned by controlling the density of the polymer grafts. Fibroblasts were seeded on gradients precoated with fibronectin to test cellular responses to this novel substrate, but it was found that cell adhesion did not follow the expected trend; instead, saturated cell adhesion and spreading was found at the low grafting density region.  相似文献

The formation region of the various types of layered titanium hydrogen phosphate hydrates was investigated. The materials were prepared by hydrothermal methods, treating amorphous titanium phosphate with phosphoric acid (8 to 16M) in the temperature range 175 to 250°C. The materials obtained were:α-Ti(HPO4)2·H2O,γ-Ti(PO4)(H2PO4)·2H2O, and its anhydrous formβ-Ti(PO4)(H2PO4). The structure ofβ-Ti(PO4)(H2PO4) has been determined by Rietveld powder refinement of high resolution neutron diffraction data. The structure is refined in the monoclinic space groupP21/n(No. 14). The unit cell parameters are:a=18.9503(4) Å,b=6.3127(1) Å,c=5.1391(1) Å,β=105.366(2)°;Z=4. The final agreement factors were:Rp=2.9% andRwp=3.8%. The structure ofβ-Ti(PO4)(H2PO4) is built from TiO6octahedra linked together by tertiary phosphate (PO4) and dihydrogen phosphate ((OH)2PO2) tetrahedra. The layers are held together by hydrogen bonds.  相似文献
