In order to continue our previous studies concerning Geranium pyrenaicum Burm. (Geraniaceae), we have performed spectrophotometric determinations and a HPLC study of some polyphenols. We have analyzed
the dried Geranii pyrenaici herba (harvested from Cluj-Napoca, district of Cluj, Romania). We have established the content in flavonoids (0.316%), phenolic
acids (0.099%), tannins (5.295%), and anthocyanins (12.030 mg/100 g vegetal product). We have identified and measured by HPLC
the following compounds: hyperoside (21.61 μg/100 mg), ellagic acid (1810.44 μg/100 mg), isoquercitrine (11.197 μg/100 mg),
and caftaric acid (76.83 μg/100 mg). We have also analyzed by HPLC a hydrolyzed sample of the same drug in which we have identified
and measured: ellagic acid (4139.33 μg/100 mg), quercetol (29.65 μg/100 mg), kaempherol (41.48 μg/100 mg), and caftaric acid
(20.721 μg/100 mg).

Thiazole and bisthiazole derivatives represent a prevalent scaffold in the antimicrobial drug discovery. Therefore, we have decided to synthesize some new series of 4,5′‐bisthiazoles. A total of 17 compounds were synthesized, their structural elucidation being based on elemental analysis (C,H,N,S) and spectroscopic data (MS and 1H NMR). Their in vitro antimicrobial activities were assessed against several Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria strains and also against one fungal strain (Candida albicans) using the difusimetric method. Some of the compounds showed modest to good antibacterial activity against Gram‐negative Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium and Gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus bacterial strains. All of the synthesized compounds showed moderate to very good antifungal activity against C. albicans. 相似文献

A commercial styrene–divinylbenzene copolymer was functionalized by multistep reactions with alpha-isopropylaminophosphonic acid groups. Three different functionalized copolymers were obtained in which the phosphonic groups are in meta (1E), para (2E), and ortho (3E) positions. The thermal behavior was studied using the TG/IR hyphenated technique and kinetic analysis of thermo-oxidation under nonisothermal conditions. The evolved gas analysis confirms the partial thermo-oxidative degradation of polymeric materials, with significant preservation of the aromatic ring. The kinetic analysis was performed by three methods: Friedman, Flynn–Wall–Ozawa, and nonparametric kinetic. 相似文献

A total of 17 new N‐substituted derivatives ( 2b , 2c , 2d , 2e , 2f , 2g , 2h , 2i , 2j , 2k and 3b , 3c , 3d , 3e , 3f , 3g , 3h ) of 5‐((2‐phenylthiazol‐4‐yl)methylene) thiazolidine‐2,4‐dione ( 2a ) and 5‐(2,6‐dichloro‐ benzylidene)thiazolidine‐2,4‐dione ( 3a ) were synthesized. The structural elucidation of the newly synthesized compounds was based on elemental analysis and spectroscopic data (MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR), and their antimicrobial activities were assessed in vitro against several strains of Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria and one fungal strain (Candida albicans) as growth inhibition diameter. Some of them showed modest to good antibacterial activity against Gram‐negative Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium and Gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, and Enterococcus fecalis bacterial strains, whereas almost all the compounds were inactive against Listeria monocytogenes. All of the synthesized compounds showed moderate to very good activity against C. albicans. 相似文献

Artemisinin, a sesquiterpene lactone from Artemisia annua L., has received considerable attention in the last few decades as a potent antimalarial drug. Artemisinin has rather low toxicity; it is effective against drug-resistant Plasmodium species and against cerebral malaria. This study reports the development of a rapid and sensitive assay for the quantification of artemisinin in A. annua by reversed phase HPLC/MS. In the selected optimal experimental conditions, artemisinin exhibited a well-defined chromatographic peak with a retention time of 2 ± 0.2 min. The chromatographic signal shows a linear dependence with artemisinin concentration, enabling the use of this signal for artemisinin quantification according to the following regression equation: y = 2665.40x - 14697.61. The correlation coefficient (R(2)) was 0.9989. For every concentration within the range of the standard curve (0.1-2 μg mL(-1)), accuracy was between 95 and 104%. Artemisinin content in Romanian A. annua wild plants varies between 0.17 and 0.21% (dry weight basis). 相似文献
