Here we report on the temperature dependence of the anomalous behaviour of water in terms of (i) its growth in tetrahedral structures, (ii) instantaneous spatial correlations from small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) data, (iii) estimates of thermodynamic response functions of isothermal compressibility and (iv) thermal expansion coefficient. Water’s thermal expansion coefficient is estimated for the first time at supercooled conditions from liquid water’s structure factor. We used previously published data from classical force-fields of TIP4P/2005 and iAMOEBA to compare experimental data with molecular dynamics simulations and observe that these force-fields underestimate water’s anomalous behaviour but perform better upon increasing pressure. We demonstrate that the molecular dynamics simulations can describe better the temperature dependent anomalous behaviour of ambient pressure water if simulated at 1?kbar. The deviation in anomalous fluctuations in the simulations is not restricted to ≈228?K but extends all the way to ambient temperatures.  相似文献

A series of some new tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoline based tetrasubstituted imidazole derivatives 6a-1 have been synthesized by a reaction of tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoline-4-carbaldehyde 3a-d,benzil 4,aromatic amine 5a-c and ammonium acetate in the presence of iodine through one-pot multi-component reaction(MCR) approach.All the derivatives were screened for antimicrobial and antituberculosis activities and results worth further investigations.  相似文献

Here we report on a phenanthridine derivative which has a covalently linked fluorescein molecule in order to increase the light absorption and hence fluorescence signal intensity when bound to duplex RNA. Steady-state fluorescence shows that the energy transfer efficiency from the fluorescein to the phenanthridine fluorophore is approximately 77%, which results in the probe being over 5x brighter than other phenanthridine derivatives when bound to RNA. Due to the relatively long lifetime (approximately 20 ns) of the probe, time-resolved fluorescence is used to increase the signal to background ratio in cell growth medium from 7 (steady-state value) to over 40. Moreover, fluorescence images of cells containing the probe show that the fluorescein signal is readily apparent along with that of the intercalated fluorophore, allowing this probe to be used as a dual color probe which simultaneously reports the probes' location and that of RNA.  相似文献

The emergence and development of aggregation induced emission (AIE) have attracted worldwide attention due to its unique photophysical phenomenon and for removing the obstacle of aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) which is the most detrimental process thereby making AIE an important and promising aspect in various fields of fluorescent material, sensing, bioimaging, optoelectronics, drug delivery system, and theranostics. In this review, we have discussed insights and explored recent advances that are being made in AIE active materials and their application in sensing, biological cell imaging, and drug delivery systems, and, furthermore, we explored AIE active fluorescent material as a building block in supramolecular chemistry. Herein, we focus on various AIE active molecules such as tetraphenylethylene, AIE-active polymer, quantum dots, AIE active metal-organic framework and triphenylamine, not only in terms of their synthetic routes but also we outline their applications. Finally, we summarize our view of the construction and application of AIE-active molecules, which thus inspiring young researchers to explore new ideas, innovations, and develop the field of supramolecular chemistry in years to come.  相似文献

We investigate the transport of immiscible binary fluid layers, constituted by one conducting (top layer fluid) and another non‐conducting (bottom layer fluid) fluids in a microfluidic channel under the combined influences of an applied pressure gradient and imposed electric field. We solve the transport equation governing the flow dynamics analytically and obtain the closed‐form expressions of the velocity fields. We bring out the alteration in the flow dynamics, mainly attributable to the non‐linear interaction between interfacial slip and the electrical double layer effect over small scales as modulated by the applied pressure gradient. In particular, we show the augmentation in the net volume transport rate through the channel, emerging from an intricate competition among electrical forcing, applied pressure gradient and the viscous resistance as modulated by the interfacial slip. We believe that the results of this study may be of immense consequence for the design of various microfluidic devises, which are often used for the manipulation of two immiscible fluids in different biomedical/biochemical processes.  相似文献
