The XPS (or ESCA) technique has been used for the characterisation of vacuum-deposited thin films of bismuth oxide. The spectra of Bi metal and Bi2O3 powder are used for comparison. The characterisation is carried out by consideration of the positions of the Bi 4f and 4f peaks and by using peak-fitting routines. A lower suboxide of bismuth, and metallic bismuth are observed in bismuth oxide films as evaporated. Oxidation of these films by heating in air results in bismuth(III) oxide. A linear relation is found between the binding energies and oxidation state. The corresponding O 1s spectra for the two types of film are also discussed. 相似文献

AbstractA straightforward synthesis of acylating reagents such as Weinreb and MAP amides from aromatic, aliphatic carboxylic acids, and amino acids using PPh3/NBS combination is described. A chemo-selective modification of the carboxylic acid group into Weinreb amide in the presence of more reactive aldehydes and ketones is presented. All reactions were performed at ambient temperature under air using undried commercial grade solvent. Furthermore, the present methodology could be performed at a gram scale under inert-free reaction conditions. In addition, 7-azaindoline amide auxiliary (used for catalytic asymmetric aldol- and Mannich-type reactions), which behaves like Weinreb amide is also synthesized under similar reaction conditions. 相似文献

The effects of thinner on rubber specimens with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and graphitic nanofillers (GR) was studied for robotics applications. Rubber specimens were prepared by dispersing GR, CNTs and thinner in room temperature vulcanized (RTV) silicone rubber through solution mixing. Microscopic studies have confirmed occurrence of swelling in polymer chains due to migration of thinner. It results an increase in topological depth from 40 nm (no thinner) to 120 nm (40 phr of thinner). An elastic modulus of ~4.4 MPa (without thinner) was higher than 2.8 MPa (10 phr of thinner). At 100% strain, the lower dissipation losses of 110% (without thinner) and 70% (40 phr of thinner) were obtained. The resistance increases from 4.6 kΩ (without thinner) to 5.7 kΩ (10 phr of thinner). At 0.4‐mm‐thick elastomer slab, an actuation displacement of 0.81 mm (without thinner) was obtained which increased to 1.1 mm (60 phr of thinner). Thus, the thinner can be useful for easier processing, controlled stiffness, minimizing dissipation losses, increasing the actuation displacement and decreasing the cost of the device. The Pr3+-doped tellurite zinc oxide (TZO) glasses by conventional melt and quenching technique have been prepared. The absorption spectra of samples doped with different concentrations of triply ionized praseodymium ions have been analyzed. Several upconversion emission bands of the Pr3+ ions doped in tellurite zinc oxide glasses under 980?nm excitation have been observed. The possible excitation mechanisms responsible for upconversion emissions spanning from blue to near infrared region have been discussed in detail. 相似文献

The most promising fluorescence based temperature sensing technique has been employed.
