In order to explore the influence of cation substitution on the vibrational dynamics of water molecules in zeolites, the evolution of structural properties of the O-H stretching band of water in fully hydrated Na-A and Mg-exchanged A zeolites has been studied, for different percentages of induced ion exchange, by Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection spectroscopy as a function of temperature. The differences revealed in the O-H stretching band shapes have been accounted by fitting the spectra as a sum of four components, corresponding to water molecules exhibiting different types of hydrogen bonding. The dependencies of the relative intensities, peak wave numbers, and bandwidths of the resolved components on temperature and Mg2+ content have been discussed. Evidence of the "structure-maker" role played by a zeolitic surface on physisorbed water, systematically enhanced by increasing the percentage of induced ion exchange, is given in the whole explored temperature range. 相似文献

Two-photon correlation phenomena, including the historical experiment of Hanbury Brown and Twiss, may have to be described quantum mechanically, regardless of whether the source of radiation is classical or quantum. Supporting this point, we present a ghost imaging type of second-order spatial correlation experiment of chaotic light to show that the classical understanding based on the concept of statistical intensity fluctuations does not give a correct interpretation for the observation. From a practical point of view, this experiment demonstrates the possibility of having high contrast lensless two-photon imaging with chaotic light, suggesting imaging applications for radiations for which no effective lens is available. 相似文献

The concentration polarization phenomena and its effects represent one of the main challenges for the optimal operation of many nanofluidic systems. A numerical investigation of the different electric current transition regimes observed during the concentration polarization phenomena in nanochannels is performed. This included a 2D‐axisymmetric simulation of the nanofluidic system (reservoir‐nanochannel‐reservoir). From these simulations, a novel mechanism is discovered that explains that different current transition regimes. This driving mechanism involves the applied electric field penetration while the convective flow mechanism is found to be negligible. This differs with the classical statement that the mixing process with less depleted areas initiated by an electrokinetic vortex instability starts the overlimiting regime. Additionally, the numerical approach allows us to identify new characteristics of the linear‐limiting transition such as source‐like and saddle‐like points of the electric field streamlines. The three voltage–current regimes (linear, limiting and overlimiting) are explained by observing and quantifying changes in electric field, potential, ion concentration and ion concentration gradients within the system. 相似文献

We present a simple proof of Ron and Shen's frame bounds estimates for Gabor frames. The proof is based on the Heil and Walnut's representation of the frame operator and shows that it can be decomposed into a continuous family of infinite matrices. The estimates then follow from a simple application of Gershgorin's theorem to each matrix. Next, we show that, if the window function has exponential decay, also the dual function has some exponential decay. Then, we describe a numerical method to compute the dual function and give an estimate of the error. Finally, we consider the spline of order 2; we investigate numerically the region of the time-frequency plane where it generates a frame and we compute the dual function for some values of the parameters. 相似文献

The aim of the present work is to analyze the complex phenomena involved in the concentrated milk clotting process in order
to define general criteria applicable to the design of a continuous coagulator. A full characterization of the rheological
properties of completely hydrolyzed milk as a function of two different parameters, i.e., the coagulator temperature and the
concentration degree of the milk, is presented. The dynamic evolution of loss, G′′, and storage, G′, moduli has been obtained
at different frequency values and for different concentration degrees during the clotting process. Time cure tests have been
performed on completely hydrolyzed milk samples showing that the rate of curing is very high and that the time for rheological
experiments is much too short for testing Winter's theory of gelation. To overcome this problem, the intersect of loss and
storage moduli was used for estimating the coagulation. Coagulation is faster when higher temperatures are used and the consistency
of the final curd is greater if a more concentrated milk is used. A tentative physical explanation based on the network theories
is presented. If an observation time far enough from the crossover point is chosen it can be seen that the curd strength estimated
at 40 °C is about 50 times higher than that one evaluated at 25 °C. Among the considered temperatures, a good processing value
was evaluated at 40 °C.
