The last decade has revealed new roles for Cullin-RING ubiquitin ligases (CRLs) in a myriad of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression. In addition to CRL1, also named SCF (SKP1-Cullin 1-F box protein), which has been known for decades as an important factor in the regulation of the cell cycle, it is now evident that all eight CRL family members are involved in the intricate cellular pathways driving cell cycle progression. In this review, we summarize the structure of CRLs and their functions in driving the cell cycle. We focus on how CRLs target key proteins for degradation or otherwise alter their functions to control the progression over the various cell cycle phases leading to cell division. We also summarize how CRLs and the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C) ligase complex closely cooperate to govern efficient cell cycle progression.Subject terms: Drug development, Targeted therapies, Origin firing, Chromatin remodelling, Post-translational modifications  相似文献

One chalcone-ester homologous series of mesogens α-4-[4/-n-alkoxybenzoyloxy phenyl β-4//methoxy benzoyl ethylenes (A) and one azo-ester homologous series of mesogens p-(p/-n-alkoxybenzoyloxy) phenyl azo-p//-methoxy benzene (B) being structurally similar are discussed. Both series (A) and (B) differ in respect of central bridges linking two phenyl rings. Mesomorphic properties start from 6th and 1st member of series (A) and (B) respectively. In series (A), 6th to 12th members show both smectogenic and nematogenic properties, and the 14th and 16th members show only nematogenic property. While in series (B), 1st to 10th members show nematogenic properties, 11th member shows both smectogenic and nematogenic properties, while 12th member shows only smectogenic property. Thermal stability of series (A) is relatively high as compared to series (B). Transition temperatures are observed through hot stage polarizing microscope by the miscibility method. Analytical data support the structure of molecules. Textures of series (A) in nematic are threaded and Schlieren in SmecticSmectic A type, while that of series (B) in nematic are threaded in SmecticSmectic A and smectic C.  相似文献

A new repulsive term in the ionic interaction potential for computing the lattice energy, the rotational constant (α0) and the vibrational constant (w0x0) of alkali halide molecules has been proposed as ψ(r) = Afnr-n e?rλ, which apart from being generalised, dimensionally homogenous and physically sound yields better values for lattice energy, α0 and w0x0 than the previously reported potentials models.  相似文献

A consistent and comprehensive approach has been adopted to derive the framework of a deformation dipole model (DDM) which is capable of explaining successfully the lattice dynamics of ionic crystals. The analysis of the diode laser spectrum of the 1103-cm?1 band of s-tetrazine has shown it to be A type, confirming its assignment to the ν15(b2u) mode. The results of the analysis of this band have been merged with the results of the earlier analysis of the ν14 band and a set of parameters consistent with all available data has been obtained for the ground, ν14, and ν15 states of s-tetrazine.  相似文献

196Hg and202Hg isotopes have been measured by neutron activation analysis in samples of twelve stone meteorites. Hg is extracted from an irradiated sample by stepwise heating. The mercury concentrations vary from 0.07 to 33 ppm. While most of the samples give196Hg/202Hg ratios similar to terrestrial value within error limits, in some cases large anomalies are observed. A number of control experiments have been devised, that show the absence of experimental artifacts, during sample preparation, neutron irradiation, chemical separation and counting stages. Several anomalous and normal Hg distillate have been re-irradiated as Hg-diethyl-dithio-carbamate complex to eliminate the influence of neutron self shielding and interfering reactions from matrix elements. The isotopic ratio patterns persist in the distillates too proving that any artifacts during meteorite irradiation and measurement are essentially absent. Both positive and negative anomalies are observed; however, the negative anomalies are much more frequent and abundant. In an extreme case of fine grained magnetic particles of Ambapur Nagla the196Hg is apparently absent in the Hg released at 100 °C. A 2196Hg/202Hg value is only 6% relative to the monitor. This experiment shows the robustness of neutron activation analysis and suggest some constrains on the formation history of stone meteorites.  相似文献

Vibrational analyses, of the electronic bands of 1-hydroxynaphthalene and 2-hydroxynaphthalene corresponding to the 312 nm electronic transition in naphthalene, have been carried out from the vapour phase absorption spectra recorded under high resolution. It is found that the prominent vibronic bands owe their large intensities to a different vibronic interaction than that in naphthalene. On leave from Pt.
