Spin-injection radiation of terahertz waves in ferromagnetic structures

We propose and discuss the mechanisms of terahertz sd exchange radiation during transmission of the spin-polarized current in a structure from a thin steel rod pressured to an ultrathin ferromagnetic film. The two mechanisms considered are quantum transitions between the quasi-Fermi levels in the film near the rod and precession of injected spins around the film magnetization.     

Anomeric effect in N-azidomethylpyrrolidine: gas-phase electron diffraction and theoretical study

Gas-phase electron-diffraction data and high-level quantum chemical calculations have been used to study the conformational behaviour of N-azidomethylpyrrolidine. The two most stable conformers with a relative abundance of about 80% at 298 K possess gauche orientation of the azidomethyl group around the C-N(pyr) bond (C-N(azido)gauche with respect to the endocyclic N(pyr)-C bond). This orientation is a strong manifestation of an anomeric effect. The influence of the anomeric effect is also reflected in shortening of the C-N(pyr) bond and lengthening of the C-N(azido) bond as compared to such bonds in other compounds.     

Regioselectivity of the monohalogenation of 4-allyl-3-allylamino-1,2,4-triazole-5-thione

The monohalogenation of 4-allyl-3-allylamino-1,2,4-triazole-5-thione has been studied. It was established that the action of bromine and iodine on 4-allyl-3-allylamino-1,2,4-triazole-5-thione at low temperatures leads to selective closure of a thiazoline ring. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 6, pp. 922–926, June, 2007.
