Reactions of 4-oxo-1,3-benzoxazinium perchlorates with guanidines

Condensation of 2-methyl-4-oxo-1,3-benzoxazinium perchlorate with various aromatic and heterocyclic aldehydes provided previously unknown arylvinyl-and hetarylvinyl-substituted salts whose recyclization under treatment with guanidine resulted in formerly undescribed 1,3,5-triazines. The reaction of perchlorates obtained with guanidinebenzoxazole led to the formation of bishetarylamines, with guanidinebenzimidazole formed triazinebenzimidazoles, the cyanoguanidine reacted with 4-oxo-1,3-benzoxazinium perchlorates to give cyanamides.     

Synthesis of 1-(benzothiazol-2-yl)-5-(o-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazoles

Recyclization of 4-oxo-1,3-benzoxazinium perchlorates by the action of benzothiazolylhydrazine gave previously unknown benzothiazolyl-substituted 1,2,4-triazoles that attract interest as potential biologically active substances. The structure of the isolated compounds was determined on the basis of their IR and ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectra.

Synthesis and properties of substituted [3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1<Emphasis Type="Italic">H</Emphasis>-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl]acetonitriles

Alkylation of 3-substituted 5-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazoles with chloroacetonitrile gave hitherto unknown N-cyanomethyl derivatives whose structure was determined by X-ray analysis and ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy. Condensation of substituted [3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl]acetonitriles at the activated methylene group with acetone led to the formation of new 3-methyl-2-triazolylbut-2-enenitrile derivatives.

A new procedure was proposed for synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives by N-alkylation of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-(o-R-sulfonylaminophenylimino)-2,5-cyclohexadienones and subsequent intramolecular spirocyclization. A necessary condition for the reaction to occur is high mobility of hydrogen in the N-methylene group, which is activated by electron-acceptor aroyl or two ethoxycarbonyl groups.     

Synthesis, structure, and spectral luminescent properties of novel 1,2,4-triazole derivatives containing benzthiazole group

Novel derivatives of 1,2,4-triazol with benzthiazole fragment have been prepared, including Cu(II) and Be complexes. Their structure and spectral luminescent properties have been investigated. With ohydroxyphenylbenzthiazolyl-1,2,4-triazole as an example, the density functional theory has been applied to find the stable conformers with different structures of coordination nodes, stabilized by intramolecular hydrogen bonds between hydroxyl group hydrogen and either triazole of benzthiazole nitrogen.     

Synthesis of 3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1,5-dialkyl-1<Emphasis Type="Italic">H</Emphasis>-1,2,4-triazoles and their Zn(II) complexes

It has been demonstrated by ¹³C NMR and quantum-chemical calculations that alkylation of 5-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3-methyl(vinylphenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazoles with dialkyl sulfates in aqueous DMSO in the presence of alkali occurs exclusively in the 2-position of the triazole ring to give 3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1,5-dialkyl(alkylvinylphenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazoles. Emission spectra of these compounds show two weak bands (λ _max ^fl = 317–346 and 430–447 nm, φ = 0.002–0.007), whereas their zinc complexes emit in the violet range of the visible spectrum (λ _max ^fl = 373–377 nm, φ = 0.20–0.25).
