The absorption and fluorescence characteristics of three substituted imidazonaphthyridine derivatives are studied in a series of organic solvents. The variation of Stokes shift with the polarity parameter of the solvent is studied and the excited state dipole moment of these derivatives is higher than the ground state dipole moment. The fluorescence lifetime profile shows single exponential decay in all the solvents. The fluorescence quantum yield, radiative and non-radiative rate constants are also calculated and these parameters show much variation in the change in substitution of these derivatives.  相似文献

Using the Hartree-Fock-Roothaan procedure the nuclear quadrupole interactions of the19F (spin 5/2) nucleus in CF4, SiF4 and GeF4 are studied. The theoretical results explain within 10% the observed experimental measurements by the time-differential perturbed angular distribution technique, including the important feature of sharp decrease of the19F* nuclear quadrupole coupling constant in going from CF4 to SiF4, followed by an increase in going to GeF4, while a simple consideration of the ionic characters of the C-F, Si-F and Ge-F bonds together with Townes and Dailey theory would lead to a continuous decrease from CF4 to GeF4. The dependence of the results on the choice of basis sets and the role of many-body effects is discussed.  相似文献

A series of 28 novel 2‐(4‐aminophenyl)benzothiazole analogues have been synthesized and characterized using various analytical techniques like 1H NMR, 13C NMR, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, and IR and bioevaluated for their antiproliferative activity over a group of three human cancer cell lines, namely, lung cancer (A549), cervical cancer (HeLa), and breast cancer (MDA‐MB‐231), using sulforhodamine B assay method. Few synthesized molecules ( 5a , 5c , 5d , 5f , 7b , and 7j ) displayed effective growth inhibition (GI50) activity against the tested human cancer cell lines at lower micromolar concentration (GI50) values in the range 0.2–1.7 μM. Noticeably, compound 7b exhibited reasonable activity in all three cancer cell lines in the GI50 range 0.55–1.2 μM. Further, when 7b was screened for tubulin polymerization inhibition, it exhibited more than 55% inhibition at concentration of 5.0 μM. The molecular docking simulations supported the molecular interactions of the derivatives with the targeted receptor. These derivatives may serve as lead structures for development of potential anticancer drug candidates, and 7b might act as a potential microtubule polymerization inhibitor.  相似文献

In current microarraying experiments, data quality is in large part determined by the quality of the spots that compose the microarray. Since many microarrays are made with contact printing techniques, microarray spot quality is fundamentally linked to the surface characteristics of the microarray substrate. In this work, surface coatings, consisting of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of mixed alkanethiol molecules, were used to control the surface properties of the microarray substrate. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and equilibrium contact angle measurements were performed in order to confirm the chemical content and wettability of these surface coatings. To test their performance in microarraying applications, sample microarrays were printed on these mixed alkanethiol films and then characterized with a noncontact visual metrology system and a fluorescence scanner. This work demonstrates that utilizing mixed alkanethiol SAMs as a surface coating provides spatially homogeneous surface characteristics that are reproducible across multiple microarray substrates as well as within a substrate. In addition, this paper demonstrates that these films are stable and robust as they can maintain their surface characteristics over time. Overall, it is demonstrated that SAMs of mixed alkanethiols serve as a useful surface coating, which enhances spot and therefore data quality in microarraying applications.  相似文献

One of the most serious impairments which limit the data rate in long distance and high speed transmission systems is Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD). PMD is negligible when data rate is low (i.e. in Mb/s or few Gb/s) but it will affect the high data rate transmission systems (10s of Gb/s, Tb/s etc.), as the pulse broadening severely distorts the signal during transmission. Thus it is necessary to compensate the PMD in both single and multichannel fiber optic transmission system due to increase in the traffic demand. This paper deals with a Deterministic Differential Group Delay (DDGD) method to compensate the PMD in single channel, by delaying the fast polarization component and wavelength independent Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PMF) method for multichannel PMD compensation. The DDGD method efficiently compensates the PMD upto 45 ps in single channel 40 Gb/s transmission systems. The State of Polarization (SOP) before and after the PMD and after compensation is analyzed by means of Poincare Sphere. By using PM Fiber method, simultaneous and effective compensation of PMD in multichannel system is achieved. Here, the simulation has been carried out for 4-channel (40 Gb/s), 8-channel (80 Gb/s), 16-channel (160 Gb/s) WDM systems and 32-channel (320 Gb/s) DWDM fiber optic system with each channel having the data rate of 10 Gb/s and the results of PMD compensation for all the channels are analyzed. It is seen that the PMD compensation is achieved upto 90 ps 87 ps, 84 ps and 80 ps in 4-channel, 8-channel, 16-channel WDM systems and 32-channel DWDM systems respectively. As very high data rate of 100 Gb/s and above are in practice now-a-days, compensation of PMD is enhanced to 1.6 Tb/s (16 × 100 Gb/s) data rate for 16-channel by PMF method and 74 ps of broadening is compensated effectively.  相似文献

Effect of ethoxylated nonyl phenol type non-ionic and alkyl sulfate type anionic surfactants on the film formation process of poly (vinyl acetate) and poly (vinyl acetate-acrylate) latexes are discussed. HLB value of non-ionic surfactant is shown to affect glass transition temperature, minimum film formation temperature and rate of film coalescence of vinyl acrylic latexes. Higher HLB non-ionic surfactant appears to be more compatible than the lower HLB ones with the fairly polar vinyl acrylic latex and form a well coalesced film. Presence of sodium lauryl sulfate in the latex is observed to result in incompatible regions on the latex film surface, typical of two phase morphology. Influences of surfactants on the film formation process in the polar vinyl acrylic latexes are compared and contrasted with the available data on the effects of surfactants in styrene butadiene latexes. The findings are discussed in terms of adsorption and interaction behavior of surfactants at polar vinyl acrylic latex surfaces and current theories of latex film formation mechanisms.  相似文献
