Poly (3-methyl thiophene) thin films were prepared by chemical bath deposition technique on glass substrate; the prepared thin films were characterized for structural, morphological and optical properties. The variation in the oxidant concentration has an influence on the properties of the P3MeT thin films. The increase in the oxidant concentration leads to increase in the thickness of the film. The binding energy increases due to increase in oxidation concentration. The P3MeT thin films show smooth surface morphology with increase in oxidant concentration whereas the contact angle of the thin film decreases with increase in oxidant concentration. The optical absorbance of these thin films was found to increase with decrease in the optical band gap due to increase in oxidant concentration. 相似文献

Series of new (E)-1-aryl-3-[2-(piperidin-1-yl)quinolin-3-yl]prop-2-en-1-ones and (E)-1-aryl-3-[2-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)quinolin-3-yl]prop-2-en-1-ones have been efficiently prepared via the Claisen-Schmidt condensation of 2-(piperidin-1-yl)quinoline-3-carbaldehyde and 2-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)quinoline-3-carbaldehyde, respectively, with aryl methyl ketones under conditions of ultrasound and microwave irradiation. Structures of the products have been confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectroscopy, as well as by elemental analysis. Evaluation of the in vitro antibacterial activity against bacterial (Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative Escherichia coli) and fungal (Aspergillus niger and Candida metapsilosis) strains has revealed good antimicrobial activity of some of the tested compounds. 相似文献

This article presents the optical absorption and emission properties of Pr3+ and Er3+ in mixed alkali borate glasses of the type 68B2O3·xLi2O·(32-x)Cs2O (where x=8, 12, 16, 20 and 24). The variation of Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters (Ωλ), the peak wavelength of the hypersensitive transitions, radiative transition probabilities (Arad) and peak emission cross-sections (σp) with x in the glass matrix have been discussed in detail. The changes in position of hypersensitive transition and intensity parameters with x are correlated to the structural changes in the host matrix. The estimated radiative lifetimes (τR) of certain excited states of both Pr3+ and Er3+ in lithium cesium mixed alkali borate glasses are reported. Branching ratios (β) and integrated absorption cross-sections (Σ) for certain important transitions are presented. Peak stimulated emission cross-sections (σp) are calculated for the observed emission peaks of Pr3+ and Er3+ ions in this glass matrix. 相似文献

Following Salpeter, the Bethe-Salpeter equation for the bound system of two oppositely charged particles is reduced to a Schrödinger equation for each of the following cases: (a) both particles are spin 1/2 particles, (b) one particle is a spinor while the other is spinless, and (c) both particles are spinless. It is shown that ife is the magnitude of charge carried by each of the particles whose masses are set equal to the electron and proton masses then, strictly speaking, only in case (a) do we obtain the familiar Schrödinger equation for the hydrogen atom. The latter equation is recovered in the other two cases only if relativistic remnants—terms of the order of 10?5 and smaller—are neglected in comparison with unity. Sodium alginate and hydroxyethylcellulose blend membranes were prepared by solution casting, crosslinked with glutaraldehyde and urea–formaldehyde–sulfuric acid mixture. Crosslinking was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, while the blend compatibility was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and scanning electron microscopy. Membranes were tested for pervaporation separation of feed mixtures ranging from 10 to 50 mass% water in water + 1,4-dioxane and water + tetrahydrofuran mixtures at 30 °C. For 10 mass% of the feed mixture, pervaporation experiments were also carried out at higher temperatures (40 and 50 °C). By increasing the temperature, a slight increase in flux with a considerable decrease in selectivity was observed for all the membranes and for both the mixtures. The blend membranes exhibited different pervaporation performance for both the binary mixtures investigated. For water + 1,4-dioxane mixture, the pervaporation performance did not improve much after blending, whereas for water + tetrahydrofuran mixture, the pervaporation performance has improved considerably over that of plain sodium alginate membrane. 相似文献

The effects of various ambients on the non-chopped and chopped films of cryolite, MgF2 and mixed cryolite-MgF2, as measured by ellipsometer, are reported. The moisture decreases the refractive index whereas an increase is observed in

Thin films of blend polymer electrolytes comprising poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) complexed with ammonium thiocyanate (NH4SCN) salt in different compositions have been prepared by solution casting technique using distilled water as solvent. The prepared films have been investigated by different experimental techniques. The complexation of these films has been studied by FTIR spectroscopy. The increase in amorphousness of the films with increase in NH4SCN content has been confirmed by XRD analysis. The addition of ammonium thiocyanate salt to PVA-PVP polymer blend shows a shift in Tg of the blend. The effect of salt concentration and temperature on the ionic conductivity of the polymer blend films has been analyzed using AC impedance spectroscopy. The maximum conductivity of 6.85 × 10?4 S cm?1 at room temperature has been observed for the blend with 50 mol% PVA-50 mol% PVP complexed with 40 mol% NH4SCN. The activation energy has been found to be minimum (0.24 eV) for this sample. Wagner’s polarization technique shows that the charge transport in these blend films is predominantly due to ions. Using the highest conductivity blend polymer electrolyte, a proton battery has been fabricated and its discharge characteristics have been studied. 相似文献
