In the present paper, we introduce Szasz-Durrmeyer-Bezier operators M.,.(f,x) , which generalize the Szasz-Durrmeyer operators. Here we obtain an estimate on the rate of convergence of Mn,a(f,x) for functions of bounded variation. Our result extends and improves that of Sahai and Prasad and Gupta and Pant.  相似文献

Since considerable expansion of hematopoietic marrow occurs in patients with sickle cell anemia (SCA), magnetic resonance images of 20 hips in 10 patients with known homozygous SCA were reviewed to determine a) if low signal hematopoietic marrow extended into the femoral capital epiphysis and b) if the MR characteristics of avascular necrosis (AVN) differed depending on the type of epiphyseal marrow. Our results revealed variable epiphyseal marrow type; mixed (fatty and hematopoietic) marrow (42%), fatty marrow (32%), hematopoietic marrow (16%) and hemosiderotic marrow (10%). AVN occurred irrespective of the underlying marrow. Segmental areas of low signal intensity in variable shapes (ring, band, crescent or large homogeneous area) was the most consistent MR manifestation of AVN in SCA. A low signal intensity peripheral rim surrounding a central zone, isointense with epiphyseal marrow on T1 and T2 weighted images, was most frequently observed similar to that described in patients without hemoglobinopathy. The notable difference, however, was of segmental areas within the same femoral head that demonstrated variable central zone signal on T2 weighted images. Further, while an increase in hip joint fluid is commonly seen with both early and advanced AVN in patients without hemoglobinopathy; it was increased in only one hip in patients with SCA. The observed differences in MR characteristics may be due to different pathophysiology of AVN in patients with SCA.  相似文献

We report the observation, first to our knowledge, of optical waveguiding found beneath trenches etched in congruent lithium niobate using the recently reported etching during the indiffusion of Ti process. Tb3+ doped CaZrO3 has been prepared by an easy solution combustion synthesis method. The combustion derived powder was investigated by X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy techniques. A room temperature photoluminescence study showed that the phosphors can be efficiently excited by 251 nm light with a weak emission in the blue and orange region and a strong emission in green light region. CaZrO3:Tb3+ exhibits three thermoluminescence (TL) glow peaks at 126 °C, 200 °C and 480 °C. Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) studies were carried out to study the defect centres induced in the phosphor by gamma irradiation and also to identify the centres responsible for the TL peaks. The room temperature ESR spectrum of irradiated phosphor appears to be a superposition of two distinct centres. One of the centres (centre I) with principal g-value 2.0233 is identified as an O? ion. Centre II with an axial symmetric g-tensor with principal values g=1.9986 and g?=2.0023 is assigned to an F+ centre (singly ionised oxygen vacancy). An additional defect centre is observed during thermal annealing experiments and this centre (assigned to F+ centre) seems to originate from an F centre (oxygen vacancy with two electrons). The F centre and also the F+ centre appear to correlate with the observed high temperature TL peak in CaZrO3:Tb3+ phosphor.  相似文献

The two-dimensional problem of generalized thermoelastic diffusion material with thermal and diffusion relaxation times is investigated in the context of Lord-Shulman theory. As an application of the problem, a particular type of thermal source is considered and the problem is solved numerically by using a finite element method. The components of displacement, stress, temperature distribution, chemical potential, and mass concentration are obtained. The resulting quantities are depicted graphically for a special model. Appreciable effect of relaxation times is observed on various resulting quantities.  相似文献

Absolute total electron scattering cross sections for carbon dioxide have been measured at low electron energies using a photoelectron source. The measurements have been carried out at 27 electron energies varying from 0.91–9.14 eV with an accuracy of ±3%. The cross sections obtained in the present experiment have been compared with other measurements and theoretical computations.  相似文献

The surgical management of bilateral vocal cord paralysis has been performed through an endoscope in the past. The etiology of bilateral vocal cord paralysis is usually secondary to trauma; to secure an adequate airway, a tracheostomy is performed. Endoscopic laser arytenoidectomy offers a safe method of decannulating patients with maintenance of good voice quality and a rima glottidis of 4–6 mm posteriorly. Several wavelengths are available to carry out this procedure, and this article will focus on Nd:Yag laser scalpel applications. The advantage of this method is the preservation of good voice quality with an option of an external procedure, if the need arises. The laser application offers excellent hemostasis, and decreased edema and scar tissue formation. The results of our study on 10 patients appear encouraging and superior with respect to other available wavelengths.  相似文献
