A series of nonlinear optical (NLO) donor-acceptor (D-A) chromophores containing a fused terthiophene, namely dithienothiophene (DTT), as the electron relay, the same donor group, and acceptors of various strengths, has been investigated by means of infrared and Raman spectroscopies, both in the solid state as well as in a variety of solvents, to evaluate the effectiveness of the intramolecular charge transfer from the electron-donor to the electron-acceptor end groups. The Raman spectral profiles of these NLO-phores measured from their dilute solutions have been found to be rather similar to those of the corresponding solids, and thus their intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) shows very little dependence on the solvent polarity. The experimental results obtained for the DTT-containing NLO-phore with a 4-(N,N-dibutylamino)styryl end group as the donor and a 2,2-dicyanoethen-1-yl end group as the acceptor differ from those previously obtained for two parent "push-pull" chromophores with the same D-A pair but built-up around either a bis(3,4-ethylenedioxythienyl) (BEDOT) or a bithienyl (BT) electron relay. Vibrational spectroscopy shows that DTT is significantly more efficient as an electron relay than BT (which has the same number of conjugated C=C bonds) or BEDOT (which can be viewed as a rigidified version of BT on account of noncovalent intramolecular interactions between heteroatoms of adjacent rings). Density functional theory (DFT) calculations have also been performed on these NLO-phores to assign their main electronic and vibrational features and to obtain information about their structures. An additional merit of these molecular materials was revealed by the infrared spectra of the DTT-based NLO-phores recorded at different temperatures. Thus, spectra recorded between -170 and 150 degrees C did not show any substantial change, indicating that the materials have a high thermal stability, which is of significance for their use as active components in optoelectronic devices. 相似文献

Dictyotaceae, the large family of brown algae with the genus Dictyota as the richest one among them, produce a significant number of secondary metabolites, like diterpenes. The aim of this study was to investigate the variations in the composition of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of the brown alga Dictyota dichotoma collected from the Adriatic Sea. For the first time, both seasonal changes and the impact of air drying were examined. Headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) on two fibres with different polarities and hydrodistillation (HD), followed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis, was performed on both fresh (FrDd) and air-dried (DrDd) D. dichotoma. The major compounds of HS-FrDd were pentadecane and oct-1-en-3-ol. The percentage of pentadecane in HS-DrDd was increased up to 7.8 times in comparison with HS-FrDd. Principal component analysis (PCA) identified differences between the variability of data among fresh and dried samples over months and clearly dissociated the fresh May samples from the others in the HS-SPME results. The most abundant group of VOCs in HD were terpenes, with diterpenes isopachydictyol A and cembra-4,7,11,15-tetraen-3-ol as the major compounds. Diterpene pachydictyol A was also found and among sesquiterpenes and gleenol was the most abundant. Based on the dominant compound analyses, the PCA showed distinct separation of the fresh and dried samples, indicating similarities between the samples and allowing the establishment of typical VOCs significant for the chemotaxonomy of D. dichotoma. 相似文献

C(CN)CONH2 (where R is 2,3-(CH3O)2, 2,4-(CH3O)2, 2,5-(CH3O)2, 2,6-(CH3O)2, 3,4-(CH3O)2, 3,5-(CH3O)2, 3-CH3?4-CH3O, 3-C2H5O-4-CH3O, 3,4-(C6H5CH2O)2, 2-C6H5CH2O-3-CH3O, 3-C6H5CH2O-4-CH3O, 4-C6H5CH2O-3-CH3O) were synthesized by potassium hydroxide catalyzed Knoevenagel condensation of ring-disubstituted benzaldehydes and cyanoacetamide, and characterized by CHN analysis, IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR. Novel copolymers of the ethylenes and styrene were prepared at equimolar monomer feed composition by solution copolymerization in the presence of a radical initiator, AIBN at 70°C. The composition of the copolymers was calculated from nitrogen analysis, and the structures were analyzed by IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR. High Tg of the copolymers in comparison with that of polystyrene indicates a decrease in chain mobility of the copolymer due to the high dipolar character of the trisubstituted ethylene monomer unit. Decomposition of the copolymers in nitrogen occurred in two steps, first in the 300–500°C range with residue (2–9% wt), which then decomposed in the 500–800°C range. 相似文献

Approximately 25 cm×25 cm large sheets of crosslinked highly porous poly(glycidyl methacrylate-co-ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate-co-ethylhexyl methacrylate) membranes with an average thicknesses between 285 and 565 μm were prepared by casting a high internal phase emulsion (HIPE) containing monomers onto glass substrates and subsequent polymerisation. Open cellular porous polyHIPE type membranes were obtained with large pores (cavity) sizes between 3 and 10 μm while interconnecting pores were between 1 and 3 μm. The percentage of ethylhexyl acrylate and ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate influenced the flexibility and morphology of the resulting membranes. Porous membranes were chemically modified with diethylamine to yield functionalised supports for ion exchange chromatography. Cylindrical housings were used for positioning of the membranes and allowing flow of the mobile phase. Pulse experiments were used to study the flow characteristics and a homogeneous flow through the entire area of the membrane was found. Bovine serum albumin was purified by a 8 ml column containing functional membrane in modular shape; dynamic binding capacity was measured to be as high as 45 mg/ml. 相似文献
