The stability of poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) helical structure has been investigated in vacuo and in amorphous polymer surrounding via molecular dynamics‐based simulations at temperatures below and above the P3HT melting point. The results show that the helical chain remains stable at room temperature both in vacuo and in amorphous surrounding, and promptly loses its structure at elevated temperatures. However, the amorphous surrounding inhibits the destruction of the helix at higher temperatures. The nonanuclear coordination compound [MoIV{(CN)FeIII(3-methyl-saldptn)}8]Cl4 exhibits multiple spin transitions (3-methyl-saldptn = N,N′-bis(3′′-methyl-2′′-hydroxy-benzyliden)-1,7-diamino-4-azaheptane). This spin crossover cluster is bound via a self-assembled monolayer onto a two dimensional array gold surface. M?ssbauer spectroscopy indicates that the thermally and optically induced spin crossover of the compound is maintained. Revised regiochemistry for the heterocyclization of electrophilic alkenes with tetranitromethane (TNM) in the presence of triethylamine, providing rapid access to nitroisoxazoles, is reported. The formation of 5-nitroisoxazoles previously incorrectly assigned as 3-nitro regioisomers, has now been established unambiguously by X-ray crystallography. Empirical computations with ACD/CNMR Predictor, based both on hierarchical ordering of spherical environments (HOSE) and an algorithm of artificial neural networks (ANN), and also Density Functional Theory computations of the 13C NMR chemical shifts for the 3- versus 5-nitroisoxazoles are shown to consistently match the spectra of the experimentally observed 5-regioisomers. 相似文献

Binding of multiple proteins to DNA is crucial in many regulatory cellular processes. The kinetics of assembly and disassembly of DNA–multiple protein complexes is very difficult to study in detail due to the lack of suitable experimental approaches. A separation-based approach has been recently proposed to resolve disassembly kinetics of such complexes. While conceptually simple, the separation-based approach generates experimental data with very complex patterns. The analysis of these patterns is a challenging problem on its own. Here we report on a mathematical approach that can extract a solution for the experimental data obtained in separation-based analysis of sequential dissociation of a DNA complex with multiple proteins. This case describes the dissociation of proteins one-by-one from the complex. Generally speaking, a mathematical solution of such problems requires calculations of multiple integrals. Our approach reduces this procedure to taking double integrals and constructing their superposition. We tested this approach with the experimental data obtained for three-step sequential dissociation of complexes of DNA with two protein copies. 相似文献
