The linear-muffin-tin orbital method is used to study the electronic-energy-band structure of zinc-blende CdS. Incorporating the 4d states of Cd into the valence band gives substantially the main-valenceband width, and yields valenceband features in agreement with the experiment. The calculated equilibrium lattice constant is in accord with the measured result. The fundamental band gap is found to be direct at T point and the value is about 1.21 eV. The band structure calculation shows that the present results are in good agreement with experiments and other calculations. 相似文献

A method is described for the simultaneous analysis of 14 non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) in human serum using negative electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS/MS). After addition of internal standard and protein precipitation using acetonitrile, samples were transferred to autosampler vials for direct analysis without chromatography. Injection of an air bubble with the sample and a multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) method using argon collision-induced dissociation (CID) of analyte (M-H)? ions permitted integration of the product ion peak areas to produce reproducible quantitative data over the range of concentrations expected in serum during routine use of these drugs. The method permitted the analysis of 30 samples per hour. Two hundred fifty consecutive analyses did not adversely affect instrument sensitivity. 相似文献

An improved and efficient bromination of 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzene was developed. A safe and reliable preparation of the potentially explosive 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl Grignard and 3-trifluoromethylphenyl Grignard reagents, from the precursor bromides, is described. Reaction System Screening Tool (RSST) and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) studies suggest these trifluoromethylphenyl Grignard reagents can detonate on loss of solvent contact or upon moderate heating. Peanuts are one of the 8 most common allergenic foods and a large proportion of peanut-allergic individuals have severe reactions, some to minimal exposure. Specific protein constituents in the peanuts are the cause of the allergic reactions in sensitized individuals who ingest the peanuts. To avoid accidental ingestion of peanut-contaminated food, methods of analysis for the determination of the allergenic proteins in foods are important tools. Such methods could help identify foods inadvertently contaminated with peanuts, thereby reducing the incidence of allergic reactions to peanuts. Commercial immunoassay kits are available but need study for method performance, which requires reference materials for within- and between-laboratory validations. In this study, National Institute of Standards and Technology Standard Reference Material 2387 peanut butter was used. A polytron homogenizer was used to prepare a homogenous aqueous Peanut Butter suspension for the evaluation of method performance of some commercially available immunoassay kits such as Veratox for Peanut Allergen Test (Neogen Corp.), Ridascreen Peanut (R-Biopharm GmbH), and Bio-Kit Peanut Protein Assay Kit (Tepnel). Each gram of the aqueous peanut butter suspension contained 20 mg carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt, 643 microg peanut, 0.5 mg thimerosal, and 2.5 mg bovine serum albumin. The suspension was homogenous, stable, reproducible, and applicable for adding to ice cream, cookies, breakfast cereals, and chocolate for recovery studies at spike levels ranging from 12 to 90 microg/g. 相似文献
