The new layered oxonitridosilicate EuSi2O2N2 has been synthesized in a radio‐frequency furnace at temperatures of about 1400 °C starting from europium(III ) oxide (Eu2O3) and silicon diimide (Si(NH)2). The structure of the yellow material has been determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis (space group P1 (no. 1), a=709.5(1), b=724.6(1), c=725.6(1) pm, α=88.69(2), β=84.77(2), γ=75.84(2)°,V=360.19(9)×106 pm3, Z=4, R1=0.0631, 4551 independent reflections, 175 parameters). Its anionic Si2O2N22? layers consist of corner‐sharing SiON3 tetrahedra with threefold connecting nitrogen and terminal oxygen atoms. High‐resolution transmission electron micrographs indicate both ordered and disordered crystallites as well as twinning. Magnetic susceptibility measurements of EuSi2O2N2 exhibit Curie–Weiss behavior above 20 K with an effective magnetic moment of 7.80(5) μB Eu?1, indicating divalent europium. Antiferromagnetic ordering is detected at 4.5(2) K. EuSi2O2N2 shows a field‐induced transition with a critical field of 0.50(5) T. The four crystallographically different europium sites cannot be distinguished by 151Eu Mössbauer spectroscopy. The room‐temperature spectrum is fitted by one signal at an isomer shift of δ=?12.3(1) mm s?1 subject to quadrupole splitting of ΔEQ=?2.3(1) mm s?1 and an asymmetry parameter of 0.46(3). Luminescence measurements show a narrow emission band with regard to the four crystallographic europium sites with an emission maximum at λ=575 nm. 相似文献

This paper presents the study of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) for Rhodamine 6G (R6G)-linked gold (Au) assemblies. The nano-assemblies fabricated with Au nanoparticles, having diameters (D) of ~5–40 nm, possessed interparticle gaps of ~0.03–0.2D, respectively. The R6G-linked Au assemblies displayed weak spectral shifts of localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) mode at shorter wavelength region and large fractional red-shifts Δλ ~ 0.07–0.47λo at longer wavelength region. The resonant spectral coupling of the nano-assemblies LSPR mode at the longer wavelength region and the optical excitation at ~785 nm, in addition to the highly localized hot spots, could support the large SERS enhancement of R6G-linked Au assemblies. 相似文献

Water soluble perchlorinated trityl (PTM) radicals were found to be effective 95 GHz DNP (dynamic nuclear polarization) polarizers in ex situ (dissolution) (13)C DNP (Gabellieri et al., Angew Chem., Int. Ed. 2010, 49, 3360). The degree of the nuclear polarization obtained was reported to be dependent on the position of the chlorine substituents on the trityl skeleton. In addition, on the basis of the DNP frequency sweeps it was suggested that the (13)C NMR signal enhancement is mediated by the Cl nuclei. To understand the DNP mechanism of the PTM radicals we have explored the 95 GHz EPR characteristics of these radicals that are relevant to their performance as DNP polarizers. The EPR spectra of the radicals revealed axially symmetric g-tensors. A comparison of the spectra with the (13)C DNP frequency sweeps showed that although the solid effect mechanism is operational the DNP frequency sweeps reveal some extra width suggesting that contributions from EPR forbidden transitions involving (35,37)Cl nuclear flips are likely. This was substantiated experimentally by ELDOR (electron-electron double resonance) detected NMR measurements, which map the EPR forbidden transitions, and ELDOR experiments that follow the depolarization of the electron spin upon irradiation of the forbidden EPR transitions. DFT (density functional theory) calculations helped to assign the observed transitions and provided the relevant spin Hamiltonian parameters. These results show that the (35,37)Cl hyperfine and nuclear quadrupolar interactions cause a considerable nuclear state mixing at 95 GHz thus facilitating the polarization of the Cl nuclei upon microwave irradiation. Overlap of Cl nuclear frequencies and the (13)C Larmor frequency further facilitates the polarization of the (13)C nuclei by spin diffusion. Calculation of the (13)C DNP frequency sweep based on the Cl nuclear polarization showed that it does lead to an increase in the width of the spectra, improving the agreement with the experimental sweeps, thus supporting the existence of a new heteronuclear assisted DNP mechanism. 相似文献

The solid lithium-ion electrolyte "Li(7)La(3)Zr(2)O(12)" (LLZO) with a garnet-type structure has been prepared in the cubic and tetragonal modification following conventional ceramic syntheses routes. Without aluminium doping tetragonal LLZO was obtained, which shows a two orders of magnitude lower room temperature conductivity than the cubic modification. Small concentrations of Al in the order of 1 wt% were sufficient to stabilize the cubic phase, which is known as a fast lithium-ion conductor. The structure and ion dynamics of Al-doped cubic LLZO were studied by impedance spectroscopy, dc conductivity measurements, (6)Li and (7)Li NMR, XRD, neutron powder diffraction, and TEM precession electron diffraction. From the results we conclude that aluminium is incorporated in the garnet lattice on the tetrahedral 24d Li site, thus stabilizing the cubic LLZO modification. Simulations based on diffraction data show that even at the low temperature of 4 K the Li ions are blurred over various crystallographic sites. This strong Li ion disorder in cubic Al-stabilized LLZO contributes to the high conductivity observed. The Li jump rates and the activation energy probed by NMR are in very good agreement with the transport parameters obtained from electrical conductivity measurements. The activation energy E(a) characterizing long-range ion transport in the Al-stabilized cubic LLZO amounts to 0.34 eV. Total electric conductivities determined by ac impedance and a four point dc technique also agree very well and range from 1 × 10(-4) Scm(-1) to 4 × 10(-4) Scm(-1) depending on the Al content of the samples. The room temperature conductivity of Al-free tetragonal LLZO is about two orders of magnitude lower (2 × 10(-6) Scm(-1), E(a) = 0.49 eV activation energy). The electronic partial conductivity of cubic LLZO was measured using the Hebb-Wagner polarization technique. The electronic transference number t(e-) is of the order of 10(-7). Thus, cubic LLZO is an almost exclusive lithium ion conductor at ambient temperature. 相似文献

Virus infections pose significant global health challenges, especially in view of the fact that the emergence of resistant viral strains and the adverse side effects associated with prolonged use continue to slow down the application of effective antiviral therapies. This makes imperative the need for the development of safe and potent alternatives to conventional antiviral drugs. In the present scenario, nanoscale materials have emerged as novel antiviral agents for the possibilities offered by their unique chemical and physical properties. Silver nanoparticles have mainly been studied for their antimicrobial potential against bacteria, but have also proven to be active against several types of viruses including human imunodeficiency virus, hepatitis B virus, herpes simplex virus, respiratory syncytial virus, and monkey pox virus. The use of metal nanoparticles provides an interesting opportunity for novel antiviral therapies. Since metals may attack a broad range of targets in the virus there is a lower possibility to develop resistance as compared to conventional antivirals. The present review focuses on the development of methods for the production of silver nanoparticles and on their use as antiviral therapeutics against pathogenic viruses. 相似文献

Currently, there are limited effective means of drug disposal for consumers, and this creates a gateway to illicit use and environmental contamination. Here, we evaluated the efficacy of a new drug disposal product, composed from a slurry of activated carbon, which claims to sequester up to 100% of a drug's active ingredient when the loading capacity is not exceeded, making it safe to dispose in landfill. High‐performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry was applied to quantify as many as 24 drugs (opiates, barbiturates, statins, amphetamine, and benzodiazepine drugs) in the residual solvent solution from the product. Calibration curves were established in the concentration ranges of 0.25–7.0 μg/mL and showed good linearity. The limits of detection varied from 0.001 to 0.02 μg/mL, depending on the drug. Accuracy ranged from 80 to 111% for quality control samples, with a few minor exceptions. Precision overall varied between 0.2 to 12.7%. In sample bottles tested, where active ingredient of the loaded drug was below the maximum sorption capacity stated on the label, 98 to >99.9% of the active ingredient was sequestered. Percent active ingredient adsorbed was slightly lower in bottles loaded in excess of label specifications. 相似文献

Dense and homogeneous metal–organic framework (MOF) coatings on functional bead surfaces are easily prepared by using intermediate sacrificial metal oxide coatings containing the metal precursor of the MOF. Polystyrene (PS) beads are coated with a ZnO layer to give ZnO@PS core–shell beads. The ZnO@PS beads are reactive in the presence of 2‐methylimidazole to transform part of the ZnO coating into a porous zeolitic imidazolate framework‐8 (ZIF‐8) external shell positioned above the internal ZnO precursor shell. The obtained ZIF‐8@ZnO@PS beads can be easily packed in column format for flow‐through applications, such as the solid‐phase extraction of trace priority‐listed environmental pollutants. The prepared material shows an excellent permeance to flow when packed as a column to give high enrichment factors, facile regeneration, and excellent reusability for the extraction of the pollutant bisphenol A. It also shows an outstanding performance for the simultaneous enrichment of mixtures of endocrine disrupting chemicals (bisphenol A, 4‐tert‐octylphenol and 4‐n‐nonylphenol), facilitating their analysis when present at very low levels (<1 μg L?1) in drinking waters. For the extraction of the pollutant bisphenol A, the prepared ZIF‐8@ZnO@PS beads also show a superior extraction and preconcentration capacity to that of the PS beads used as precursors and the composite materials obtained by the direct growth of ZIF‐8 on the surface of the PS beads in the absence of metal oxide intermediate coatings. 相似文献

In a time of emerging bacterial resistance there is a vital need for new targets and strategies in antibacterial therapy. Using uropathogenic Escherichia coli as a model pathogen we have developed a class of compounds, pilicides, which inhibit the formation of virulence-associated organelles termed pili. The pilicides interfere with a highly conserved bacterial assembly and secretion system called the chaperone-usher pathway, which is abundant in a vast number of Gram-negative pathogens and serves to assemble multi-protein surface fibers (pili/fimbriae). This class of compounds provides a platform to gain insight into important biological processes such as the molecular mechanisms of the chaperone-usher pathway and the sophisticated function of pili. Pili are primarily involved in bacterial adhesion, invasion and persistence to host defenses. On this basis, pilicides can aid the development of new antibacterial agents. 相似文献

The EuII complex of 1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane‐1,4,7,10‐tetraacetic acid (DOTA) tetra(glycinate) has a higher reduction potential than most EuII chelates reported to date. The reduced EuII form acts as an efficient water proton T1 relaxation reagent, while the EuIII form acts as a water‐based chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) agent. The complex has extremely fast water exchange rate. Oxidation to the corresponding EuIII complex yields a well‐defined signal from the paraCEST agent.
