The novel tandem process Diels‐Alder reaction/Ireland‐Claisen rearrangement shows a high diastereoselectivity for the Ireland‐Claisen rearrangement starting from the endo‐product of the Diels‐Alder reaction. Based on this mechanistic knowledge, the novel tandem process could be applied to the synthesis of rac‐juvabione.  相似文献

The automotive industry more and more frequently uses composite materials such as molded compounds (sheet‐molded compounds, SMC, or bulk‐molded compounds, BMC). Bonding is then the only way of assembling two pieces. Consequently, and in order tentatively to predict the adhesive behavior of such materials, it is necessary to have a good knowledge of their surface properties. Here, different complementary techniques of surface analysis allowed us, on the one hand, to reach this aim for BMCs prepared by compression molding and, on the other hand, to show the influence on the surface properties of the concentration and composition of the internal release agent added to the blend. The surface heterogeneity and the organic nature of the surface of the compounds are shown and no phase separation occurs there as in the bulk. Mold release agents remain in the surface layer and induce some acid–base character to the surface material which depends on the type of stearate introduced in the blend. We describe a direct time resolved technique of frequency sweeping or fringe pattern shift measurements in a single picosecond laser pulse, based on the detection of a Fraunhofer diffraction pattern. The nitrogen content in tantalum nitride (TaNx) thin films, where x indicates that TaNx is not generally stoechiometric, can be measured directly by XPS. This is the purpose of the present study. However, the XPS spectra of TaNx present electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) peaks that lead to a complex peak fitting, particularly for self‐passivated thin films. A complete peak fitting procedure based upon Tougaard's background, the Doniach‐Sunjic Function and EELS peaks, is presented. It is applied to two self‐passivated TaNx thin films elaborated by reactive sputtering and presenting a different nitrogen content. The physical properties of these surfaces are interpreted in terms of Ta 4f7/2 chemical states directly dependent on the nitrogen content. Plasma polymerization has gained increasing attention in surface functionalization. We use here chemical force titration to characterize PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) substrates modified by maleic anhydride-pulsed plasma polymerization. The coating is hydrolyzed to promote the formation of dicarboxylic acid groups. To enhance the variation of the adhesion forces as a function of pH, we use AFM tips modified in the same way as the substrates. The pH-dependent adhesion measurements are performed at different KCl concentrations. The dicarboxylic nature of the maleic acid groups clearly emerges from the force titration curves. The surface pK(a) values (pK(a1) = 3.5 +/- 0.5 and pK(a2) = 9.5 +/- 0.5) of the dicarboxylic acids are evaluated from low electrolyte concentration solutions. The values are shifted toward higher pK(a) values when compared to maleic acid in solution. The first pK(a) appears in the titration force curve for low salt concentration as a peak. This peak changes to a sigmoidal shape at higher salt concentrations. The appearance of a peak is attributed to the formation of strong hydrogen bonds between the tip and the substrate as reported in the literature. The effect of the ionic strength on the force curves is explained by the condensation of counterions on the carboxylate groups. At high pH, the adhesion force almost vanishes. On the approach, at high pH, one first observes repulsion between the tip and the substrate, which varies exponentially with the tip/substrate distance. The decay length of this repulsion force is in good agreement with theoretical predictions of the Debye length, attesting to the electrostatic nature of the interactions. We also find that the replacement of monovalent cation K(+) by the divalent cation Ca(2+) leads to significant changes in the force titration curve at high pH where the dicarboxylic groups are fully ionized. We observe that the adhesion force no longer vanishes at high pH but even slightly increases with pH, an effect that is explained by Ca(2+) ions bridging between two carboxylate groups.  相似文献

The effects on the radiation response of Harwell polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) dosimeters of dose-rate, radiation type, temperature during irradiation and post-irradiation storage, and post-irradiation stability, are of importance to the operators of commercial irradiation facilities.

This paper describes recent studies of the effects of some of these parameters on the radiation response of Harwell Red 4034, Amber 3042, and Gammachrome YR Perspex dosimeters, and provides data on batch to batch variation and shelf-life.  相似文献

A typical monoclonal IgG dysglobulinemia whether benign (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance, MGUS) or malignant can give rise to peripheral neuropathy by damaging nerves. At first, neurotoxicity of the chemotherapy if the patient is treated must be ruled out in such cases. Indeed, a variety of other mechanisms have been described: endoneurial deposits of immunoglobulin, infiltration of the immunoglobulin within myelin sheaths, POEMS syndrome, deposits of amyloid, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy and infiltration of malignant cells. Ultrastructural examination of a nerve biopsy can be decisive in combination with routine histological and immunopathological examinations. Characterization of the mechanism of the neuropathy in a dysglobulinemic context is important as it governs therapeutic options, which in certain cases are particularly beneficial.  相似文献
