We investigate numerically the transition between static equilibrium and dynamic surface flow of a 2D cohesionless granular system driven by a continuous gravity loading. This transition is characterized by intermittent local dynamic rearrangements and can be described by an order parameter defined as the density of critical contacts, i.e., contacts where the friction is fully mobilized. Analysis of the spatial correlations of critical contacts shows the occurrence of "fluidized" clusters which exhibit a power-law divergence in size at the approach of the stability limit. The results are compatible with recent models that describe the granular system during the static/dynamic transition as a multiphase system. 相似文献

Currently, most clinical studies in metabolomics only consider a single type of sample such as urine, plasma, or feces and use a single analytical platform, either NMR or MS. Although some studies have already investigated metabolomics data from multiple fluids, the information is limited to a unique analytical platform. On the other hand, clinical studies investigating the human metabolome that combine multi-analytical platforms have focused on a single biofluid. Combining data from multiple sample types for one patient using a multimodal analytical approach (NMR and MS) should extend the metabolome coverage. Pre-analytical and analytical phases are time consuming. These steps need to be improved in order to move into clinical studies that deal with a large number of patient samples. Our study describes a standard operating procedure for biological specimens (urine, blood, saliva, and feces) using multiple platforms (1H-NMR, RP-UHPLC-MS, and HILIC-UHPLC-MS). Each sample type follows a unique sample preparation procedure for analysis on a multi-platform basis. Three new compounds based on the cationic complex [Fe(III)(3-R-salEen)(2)]+ (salEen stands for N-(2-ethylamino)ethyl)-salicylaldimine, R = H, CH(3)O) with the electroactive Ni(dmit)(2) species as a counterion (dmit stands for 1,3-dithia-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato) have been synthesized and structurally and magnetically characterized. Compound 1 ([Ni(dmit)(2)][Fe(3-OMe-salEen)(2)]. CH(3)OH) shows an apparent hysteresis loop, due to an irreversible desolvatation process. Compound 2 ([Ni(dmit)(2)](NO(3))[Fe(salEen)(2)](2)) exhibits a gradual and incomplete spin transition. Compound 3 ([Ni(dmit)(2)](5)[Fe(salEen)(2)](2), 6CH(3)CN) is a fractional oxidation state complex, which behaves like a semiconductor and exhibits a gradual but complete spin transition between 300 and 4 K. 相似文献
