Study of lactams. VI. Synthesis of 6-substituted purino [8, 9-11, 22]isoindol1nes

It is shown with 1-ethoxyisoindolenine that the reaction of lactim ethers with -amino--cyanoacetamide also extends to partly aromatized lactim ethers, although these react much less readily. Condensation of 1-ethoxyisoindolenine with -amino-cyanoacetamide gives 4-carbamido-5-aminoimidazo[1, 2-1, 2]isoindoline, from which a new series of purinoisoindioline derivatives is synthesized.For part V see [2].     

Crystal and Molecular Structure of Bi-1,1′-(3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline)

Bi-1,1-(3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline) (I) was synthesized. Its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Compound I crystallizes as isomer that is intermediate between the syn- and anti-forms with the angle of rotation between the bicyclic fragments equal to 90.1°. The N(1)=C(1) bond length is 1.276(4) ± 0.003 Å.     

Reaction of 2,3-dioxo-4-(N,N-dimethylaminomethylene)hexahydroazepine with hydroxylamine

Depending on the conditions selected, the reaction of 2,3-dioxo-4-(N,N-dimethylaminomethylene)hexahydroazepine with hydroxylamine gives 2,3-dioxo-4-formylhexahydroazepine 4-oxime, 8-oxo-8H-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroisoxazolo[5,4-c]azepine, or 2-oxo-3-hydroxy-4-cyano-2H-1,5,6,7-tetrahydroazepine. The reaction of the latter with aromatic amines and hydrazine hydrate was used to synthesize 3-arylamino-2-oxo-4-cyano-2H-1,5,6,7-tetrahydroazepines and 3-amino-8-oxo-8H-4,5,6,7-tetra-hydropyrazolo[5,4-c]azepine, respectively. New form of effective potential to calculate polarization effects of theπ-electronic states of organic molecules

A new relation for the contribution of the most important polarization effects in the energy of the -electronic states of organic molecules is derived. For -electronic systems we suggest a correct form of the ejfective potential of the two-panicle polarization interaction of -electrons via the polarizable -core. This form approximates (by the Thomas-Fernti method) the exact contribution of the corresponding exchange polarization diagrams of the Rayleigh-Schrödinger perturbation theory. The potential may be flectively used in ab initio calculations of -electronic systems typically done in the frozen core approximation.Hydrometeorological Institute, Ukraine. Passage of Fast Neutrons Through the Crystal Structure of Textured CVD Diamond

The passage of fast neutrons through the crystal structure of a textured diamond obtained by chemical vapor deposition (CVD diamond) is studied. Neutrons with an energy of 2.45 MeV from the DD reaction and with an average energy of about 2 MeV from the 252Cf isotope are used as neutron sources. The neutrons are detected by two independent methods: using proportional counters filled with 3Не and a paraterphenyl-based scintillation detector. The measurements show that the neutron-flux incident on the detector depends on the orientation of the target. In the case of isotropic samples containing diamond and carbon, such effects are not observed. A possible explanation for the effect is the channeling of deuterium ions and neutrons in channels of textured CVD diamond.     

Cosmic ray energy spectrum (>1017 eV) of the Yakutsk EAS array

The energy spectrum obtained on the Yakutsk array for the parameter S ₆₀₀ is compared with the results obtained on the AGASA and HiRes arrays and the latest Pierre Auger Observatory data. The discrepancy in the intensity of the energy spectra obtained in different experiments can be explained by the presence of systematic errors in shower energy estimations.     

Cosmic rays of energies E 0≥1019 eV and the large-scale structure of the universe

Arrival directions of cosmic rays with energies E ₀≥10¹⁹ eV are analyzed in the supergalactic coordinates. It is shown that increased particle fluxes arrive from the supergalactic plane and regions symmetrically adjoining it at angles ±b _SG≈6.5°. Relatively high densities of clusters of galaxies and quasars, which are related to the large-scale structure of the universe, are observed in these regions.     

Chiral ionic liquids based on abietane

A number of chiral ionic liquids were synthesized by reaction of 12-chloromethylabieta-8,11,13-trien-18-oic acid methyl ester with N-alkylimidazoles.
