Results of acoustic measurements in skeletal muscle are generalized. It is shown that assessment of the pathologies and functional condition of the muscular system is possible with the use of shear waves. The velocity of these waves in muscles is much smaller than the velocity of sound; therefore, a higher symmetry type is formed for them. In the presence of a preferential direction (along muscle fibers), it is characterized by only two rather than five (as in usual media with the same anisotropy) moduli of elasticity. A covariant form of the corresponding wave equation is presented. It is shown that dissipation properties of skeletal muscles can be controlled by contracting them isometrically. Pulsed loads (shocks) and vibrations are damped differently, depending on their frequency spectrum. Characteristic frequencies on the order of tens and hundreds of hertz are attenuated due to actin-myosin bridges association/dissociation dynamics in the contracted muscle. At higher (kilohertz) frequencies, when the muscle is tensed, viscosity of the tissue increases by a factor of several tens because of the increase in friction experienced by fibrillar structures as they move relative to the surrounding liquid; the tension of the fibers changes the hydrodynamic conditions of the flow around them. Finally, at higher frequencies, the attenuation is associated with the rheological properties of biological molecules, in particular, with their conformational dynamics in the wave field. Models that describe the controlled shock dissipation mechanisms are proposed. Corresponding solutions are found, including those that allow for nonlinear effects. 相似文献

string of signs is sufficiently long. We shall show in this article, by using arguments based on the ideas of Kolmogorov complexity
and by applying the theorem of V. P. Maslov from [2], that one can obtain similar formulas for the distribution of various
semiotic objects. In order to do this, we must introduce notions generalizing the occurrence frequency of words in corpora

The effect of SiO2 in SiCp and the following processing parameters on the microstructure and impact strength of Al/SiCp composites fabricated by pressureless infiltration was investigated: Mg content in the aluminum alloy, SiC particle size,
and holding time. Preforms of SiCp in the form of rectangular bars (10 × 1 × 1 cm) were infiltrated at 1150°C in an argon→nitrogen atmosphere for 45 and 60
min by utilizing two aluminum alloys (Al-6 Mg-11 Si and Al-9 Mg-11 Si, wt.%). The results obtained show that the presence
of SiO2 in SiC affects the microstructure and impact strength of the composites significantly. When Al4C3 is formed, the impact strength decreases. However, a high proportion of SiC to SiO2 limits the formation of the unwanted Al4C3 phase in the composites. Also, a higher content of Mg in the Al alloy lowers the residual porosity and, consequently, increases
the composite strength. The impact strength grows with decrease in SiC particle size and increases considerably when the residual
porosity is less than 1%.

We report the results of a study of white light generation in a 7.5 cm long crystal of a high band-gap material, barium fluoride, using ultrashort (<42 fs) laser pulses over a range of values of incident laser power that extend up to more than three orders of magnitude larger than the critical power for self-focusing (Pcr). We explore white light generation and the intensity and spectral distributions within filaments that are formed as a result of the interplay of self-focusing and plasma-induced defocusing. The onset of plasma effects occurs at power levels in excess of 7 GW for ultrashort pulses in BaF2. For incident power levels that are three orders of magnitude larger than the critical power, blue-shifting of the incident laser wavelength is observed in addition to asymmetric continuum generation. The blue shift enables us to estimate the temporal variation of the electron density in the plasma that is generated within the BaF2 crystal. The effects of chemical heat treatments of a semianthracite char (AC) on the composition of the mineral fraction of the material are investigated. The starting char was first treated with a mixture of LiCl/KCl or LiCl/KCl/CaO at 743, 873 or 1173 K and the products obtained were then washed thoroughly with distilled water. A small fraction of these samples were treated with 10−3 M HCl solution. The composition changes were studied by X-ray diffraction. The predominant mineral components initially present in the starting char are quartz, mullite, muscovite and/or kaolinite and oldhamite. The treatments of AC resulted in significant changes in the mineral fraction of the material, in particular when LiCl/KCl/CaO was used. In this case, spurrite, γ-calcium orthosilicate and gehlenite were formed, which were eliminated by treatment with 10−3 M HCl solution. 相似文献

A new mixed-ligand complex, Cd(S2CN(C4H9)2)2Phen, is synthesized and investigated by thermal, element, and IR analyses and by diffractometry of polycrystals (DRON-3M, CuKα radiation, Ni filter).
