We derive a realistic microscopic model for doped colossal magnetoresistance manganites, which includes the dynamics of charge, spin, orbital and lattice degrees of freedom on a quantum mechanical level. The model respects the SU(2) spin symmetry and the full multiplet structure of the manganese ions within the cubic lattice. Concentrating on the hole doped domain ( 0≤x≤0.5) we study the influence of the electron-lattice interaction on spin and orbital correlations by means of exact diagonalisation techniques. We find that the lattice can cause a considerable suppression of the coupling between spin and orbital degrees of freedom and show how changes in the magnetic correlations are reflected in dynamic phonon correlations. In addition, our calculation gives detailed insights into orbital correlations and demonstrates the possibility of complex orbital states. Isotopes of elements up to Z = 113 have been synthesized using medium heavy projectiles and target nuclei around doubly magic 208Pb. Synthesis of still heavier elements in reactions of 48Ca projectiles with actinide target nuclei has been reported. To obtain more information about production mechanism of transfermium isotopes nuclear reaction studies including investigations of massive transfer were resumed at SHIP, GSI. Nuclear structure investigations at SHIP have been concentrated so far mainly on systematic investigations of low lying Nilsson levels in odd-mass nuclei. Recently this field has been extended to decay studies of isomeric states in nobelium nuclei at E* > 1 MeV.  相似文献

We consider the quantum mechanical problem of a particle being scattered inelastically by a chain ofN infinitely heavy, equidistantly spaced two-level atoms. In a previous paper (Süßmann, G., Szilas, P.: Z. Phys. B — Condensed Matter42, 253 (1981)) the time dependent problem of a Gaussian wave packet impinging on the target atoms has been studied and an explicit asymptotic expression for the reduced density matrix ρ R of the particle has been given. We now introduce the coarse grained density matrix \(\bar \rho _R\) . The incoherenceI?1-Tr( \(\bar \rho _R^2\) ), i.e. the deviation of the state of the particle from a pure state, being small on certain conditions, we find a single particle wave function ψ with \(\psi (x',t)\psi ^* (x'',t) \approx \left\langle {x'\left| {\bar \rho _R (t)} \right|x''} \right\rangle\) and a nonlinear Hermitean HamiltonianH ψ=p 2/2m+W ψ such thati?ψ(x, t)=H ψψ(x, t) describes the time evolution. Finally we also considerW ψ within the framework of the phenomenological theory of nonlinear frictional operators.  相似文献

We study both theoretically and experimentally typical operation regimes of 40 GHz monolithic mode-locked lasers. The underlying Traveling Wave Equation model reveals quantitative agreement for characteristics of the fundamental mode-locking as pulse width and repetition frequency tuning, as well as qualitative agreement with the experiments for other dynamic regimes. Especially the appearance of stable harmonic mode-locking at 80 GHz has been predicted theoretically and confirmed by measurements. Furthermore, we derive and apply a simplified Delay-Differential-Equation model which guides us to a qualitative analysis of bifurcations responsible for the appearance and the breakup of different mode-locking regimes. Higher harmonics of mode-locking are predicted by this model as well.  相似文献

In irradiations of207Pb and208Pb, respectively, with54Cr theα-decay of the isotopes259106,260106, and261106 could be observed for the first time. For260106 a spontaneous fission branch of (50 ?20 +30 )% was observed. The isotopes were identified by genetic relationships of α-decay after separation in-flight with the velocity filter SHIP and implantation into a position-sensitive silicon surface-barrier detector. The measured partial fission halflife of the doubly even isotope260106 of (7.2 ?2.7 +4.8 )ms exceeds the predicted values by at least a factor of 40. This result could be explained by the high shell corrections of the ground state mass, derived from the measured α-decay energies. The experimental results show evidence for an island of purely shell stabilized nuclei in the region of deformed isotopes beyond the actinides.  相似文献

Übersicht Die Fugen zusammengesetzter Bauteile sind einerseits für eine nachteilige Steifigkeitsminderung verantwortlich, tragen aber andererseits durch Reibungsvorgänge wesentlich zum Dämpfungsvermögen einer Konstruktion bei. Merkliche Reibungsdämpfung ohne gleichzeitigen Steifigkeitsverlust bewirken zusätzliche Fugen, die durch Anbringen sogenannter Scheuerleisten entstehen. Der Autor stellt ein Näherungsverfahren zur dämpfungsoptimalen Auslegung von Scheuerleisten vor. Ausgehend von der zu dämpfenden Schwingungsform liefert dieses Verfahren Kriterien für eine günstige Scheuerleistenanordnung, geeignete Leistenabmessungen und als wichtigstes Ergebnis eine dämpfungsoptimale Fugenpressung, die zu maximaler Energiedissipation führt. Schließlich kann das zu erwartende Dämpfungsmaß berechnet und damit das Ergebnis einer vorgesehenen Dämpfungsmaßnahme abgeschätzt werden.
Damping by friction ledges: a practical design concept
Summary On the one hand, mating surfaces of structures are responsible for a reduction of stiffness, on the other hand relative motion produces friction, which contributes considerably to the damping. Noticeable friction damping without simultaneous stiffness reduction can be achieved by adding further mating surfaces. Such interfaces are realized by fastening additional elements (e.g. beamlike) onto the structure. An analytic approximation method for these so-called friction ledges is described in this paper. Initiating from the mode shape to be damped the procedure yields criteria for the suitable positioning and design of the ledges. Most important of all is the damping optimized interface pressure, that leads to maximum energy dissipation. Finally, the expected damping rate can be computed, and therefore the result of the proposed measure assessed.

We report measurements of the electrical resistivity, the thermal conductivityk and the thermoelectric powerS between 1.5K and 300K on the anomalous CeCu2Si2 compound and on LaCu2Si2 as reference compound. For LaCu2Si2 the temperature dependences of andS are in accord with those found in otherd band metals. For CeCu2Si2 the observed resistivity (220 µ cm at 200K) leads to a very short electronic mean free path which is of the order of the Ce-Ce spacing. Correspondingly,k is almost identical with the phonon contributionk p . Below 20K, resistivity and thermoelectric power strongly suggest Fermi liquid behavior with a degeneracy temperature between 20K and 40K. The measurement of the concentration of gaseous hydrogen fluoride in the exhaust of an aluminum plant by resonance absorption of the radiation of a cw chemical HF laser is reported. The HF concentration has been evaluated taking into account the simultaneous absorption of water vapor and carbon dioxide at the HF laser frequencies. The absorption cross sections for H2O and CO2 at the HF laser lines have been determined in laboratory experiments.  相似文献

We introduce new augmented Lagrangian algorithms for linear programming which provide faster global convergence rates than the augmented algorithm of Polyak and Treti'akov. Our algorithm shares the same properties as the Polyak-Treti'akov algorithm in that it terminates in finitely many iterations and obtains both primal and dual optimal solutions. We present an implementable version of the algorithm which requires only approximate minimization at each iteration. We provide a global convergence rate for this version of the algorithm and show that the primal and dual points generated by the algorithm converge to the primal and dual optimal set, respectively.  相似文献

Summary In a previous paper we obtained upper and lower class type results refining the bounded LIL for sums of iid Hilbert space valued mean zero random variables, whose covariance operators satisfy certain regularity assumptions. We now establish precise convergence rates for the bounded LIL in the non-regular case.
