We propose a TeV extension of the standard model to generate the cosmological baryon asymmetry with an observable neutron-antineutron oscillation. The new fields include a singlet fermion, an isotriplet and two isosinglet diquark scalars. There will be no proton decay although the Majorana mass of the singlet fermion as well as the trilinear couplings between one isosinglet diquark and two isotriplet diquarks softly break the baryon number of two units. The isosinglet diquarks couple to two right-handed down-type quarks or to a right-handed up-type quark and a singlet fermion, whereas the isotriplet diquark couples to two left-handed quarks. The isosinglet diquarks mediate the three-body decays of the singlet fermion to realize a TeV baryogenesis without fine tuning the resonant effect. By the exchange of one singlet fermion and two isosinglet diquarks and of one isosinglet diquark and two isotriplet diquarks, a neutron-antineutron oscillation is allowed to verify in the future experiments.  相似文献

The transversity distribution of quarks in a nucleon is one of the three fundamental distributions, that characterize nucleon's properties in hard scattering processes at leading twist (twist 2). It measures the distribution of quark transverse spin in a nucleon polarized transverse to its (infinite) momentum. It is a chiral-odd twist-two distribution function — gluons do not couple to it. Quarks in a nucleon/hadron are relativistically bound and transversity is a measure of the relativistic nature of bound quarks in a nucleon. In this work, we review some important aspects of this less familiar distribution function which has not been measured experimentally so far.  相似文献

An interconnection between superluminal transformation and supersymmetric transformations has been investigated in complex C3-space and the evolution of bosonic and fermionic subspaces in such space has been undertaken. Introducing the suitable anticommuting operators to induce grading in Poincare group in C3-space in terms of components of complex angular momentum operator, the supersymmetric algebra connecting bradyonic and tachyonic bosons and fermions has been constructed and it has been demonstrated that the difference between scales of bosonic and fermionic subspaces in C3-space increases quickly in spite of their closeness initially.  相似文献

Unbroken gauge theories containing light as well as heavy fermions are considered in the limit of the mass of the heavy fermions tending to infinity. The effective coupling constant of the decoupled low-energy theory thus obtained, has been calculated up to two-loop level using the light particle irreducible vertex function and the background field formalism. In addition, to simplify the computation, a background field gauge-fixing term has been used, because in such a gauge the effective coupling constant can be calculated from a two-point function only. Our analysis reveals that in the non-abelian theory, the simple algorithm proposed by Ovrut and Schnitzer for computing the effective coupling constant up to the two-loop level is valid only in the α = 0 or α = ?3 background field gauge. A general procedure correct for all values of α is described.  相似文献

Synthesis of certain aldehydes from the carboxylic acids has been carried by reduction of the corresponding N-acyl saccharins using SDA. The N-acyl saccharins are easily prepared by reaction of an acid with γ-saccharin chloride, which can be used for the next step of reduction without isolation and purification. This provides a convenient and one step synthesis of aldehydes by combining the two reactions, viz., preparation of the N-acyl compound and its reduction. The method has been successfully applied for the reduction of aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic, and a α,β-unsaturated acids to the corresponding aldehydes and the yields obtained are quite satisfactory.  相似文献

Electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma is produced and studied in a small cylindrical system. Microwave power is delivered by a CW magnetron at 2.45 GHz in TE10 mode and launched radially to have extraordinary (X) wave in plasma. The axial magnetic field required for ECR in the system is such that the first two ECR surfaces (B = 875.0 G andB = 437.5 G) reside in the system. ECR plasma is produced with hydrogen with typical plasma density ne as 3.2 × 1010 cm-3 and plasma temperature Te between 9 and 15 eV. Various cut-off and resonance positions are identified in the plasma system. ECR heating (ECRH) of the plasma is observed experimentally. This heating is because of the mode conversion of X-wave to electron Bernstein wave (EBW) at the upper hybrid resonance (UHR) layer. The power mode conversion efficiency is estimated to be 0.85 for this system. The experimental results are presented in this paper.  相似文献

An extension of the left-right symmetric model has been constructed which gives in a natural way the three lepton decay modes of the proton which have been suggested as an explanation for the atmospheric neutrino anomaly. We write down the potential which after minimization gives the proper choice of the Higgs spectrum. With this Higgs spectrum we then study the evolution of the gauge coupling constants and point out that for consistency one has to include effects of gravity.  相似文献
