We have investigated the interaction of obliquely propagating ion acoustic solitary waves in a magnetoplasma with relativistically degenerate electrons. Using the quantum hydrodynamics model and by employing the extended Poincaré–Lighthill–Kuo technique, we have derived a set of Korteweg de Vries equations for two solitons. We have observed that the system under consideration allows the formation of only compressive solitons and their velocities remain in the sub-acoustic limit. Furthermore, phase shifts of solitons as a result of their interaction have been calculated. The phase shifts have been observed to be dependent on the obliqueness and the physical parameters of plasma. It has also been noticed that phase shifts remain negative for the whole range of parameters generally found in white dwarf stars. We have observed that the phase shifts enhance with the enhancement in number density, however, the converse happens when the magnetic field is enhanced. It has also been observed that the phase shift is slightly greater for the solitons that are less oblique as compared to their more oblique counterparts. Furthermore, we have estimated the spatial scales of interaction of solitons using the parameters found in white dwarf stars.  相似文献

Four Donor–Acceptor–Donor (D–A–D) type of donor molecules (M1‐M4) with triphenylamine (TPA) as donor moiety, thiophene as bridge, and thiazolothiazole as acceptor unit were designed and its photovoltaic parameters were equated with reference molecule “R.” DFT functional CAM‐B3LYP/6‐31G (d,p) was found best for geometry optimization and TD‐CAM‐B3LYP/6‐31G (d,p) was found suitable for excited state calculations. Among designed donor molecules, M4 manifests suitable lowest band gap of 4.73 eV, frontier molecular orbital energy levels as well as distinctive broad absorption of 455.3 nm due to the stronger electron withdrawing group. The electron‐withdrawing substituents contribute to red shifts of absorption spectra and better stabilities for designed molecules. The theoretically determined reorganization energies of designed donor molecules suggested excellent charge mobility property. The lower λe values in comparison with λh illustrated that these four donor materials would be ideal for electron transfer and M4 would be best amongst the investigated molecules with lowest λe of 0.0177. Furthermore, the calculated Voc of M4 is 2.04 V with respect to PC60BM (phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester). This study revealed that the designed donor materials are suitable and recommended for high performance organic solar cell devices.  相似文献

The fragmentation of the Isoscalar Giant Quadrupole Resonance (ISGQR) in 40Ca has been investigated in high energy-resolution experiments using proton inelastic scattering at Ep=200 MeVEp=200 MeV. Fine structure is observed in the region of the ISGQR and its characteristic energy scales are extracted from the experimental data by means of a wavelet analysis. The experimental scales are well described by Random Phase Approximation (RPA) and second-RPA calculations with an effective interaction derived from a realistic nucleon–nucleon interaction by the Unitary Correlation Operator Method (UCOM). In these results characteristic scales are already present at the mean-field level pointing to their origination in Landau damping, in contrast to the findings in heavier nuclei and also to SRPA calculations for 40Ca based on phenomenological effective interactions, where fine structure is explained by the coupling to two-particle–two-hole (2p–2h) states.  相似文献

In this paper,we consider the family of generalized Petersen graphs P(n,4).We prove that the metric dimension of P(n,4) is 3 when n ≡ 0(mod 4),and is 4 when n = 4k + 3(k is even).For n ≡ 1,2(mod 4) and n = 4k + 3(k is odd),we prove that the metric dimension of P(n,4) is bounded above by 4.This shows that each graph of the family of generalized Petersen graphs P(n,4)has constant metric dimension.  相似文献

Polymers as coating materials were combined with quartz crystal microbalances (QCMs) to design sensor devices for the detection of both ionic and neutral analytes in liquid phase. The design and geometry of dual and tetraelectrode QCMs have been optimized to reduce electric field interferences. An unusual Sauerbrey effect was observed while exposing potassium salt solution to 10- and 20-MHz QCMs, i.e. increase in the frequency shifts by a factor of seven, which is attributed to electro-acoustic phenomena. Non-functionalized sol-gel materials were synthesized by templating with hydrophobic salt such as tetraethyl ammonium picrate. Imprinting with these ions of low charge density leads to sensitive layers, and UV–Vis spectroscopy was used to check re-inclusion of this analyte. In the next strategy, functionalized polyurethane for potassium ions and sol-gel materials with aminopropyl group as ligand were generated to tune selectivity and sensitivity towards Ni2+ and Cu2+. Methacrylic acid polymers were optimized for the detection of atrazine by hydrogen bonding; double molecular imprinted polyurethane approach was followed for pyrene recognition. Finally, these imprinted polymers were combined with tetraelectrode QCM to develop sensor platform.  相似文献

We have studied the photoinduced trans/cis isomerization of the protonated form of p-hydroxycinnamic thiophenyl ester, a model chromophore of the photoactive yellow protein (PYP), in crystalline phase, by both fluorescence and infrared spectroscopies. The conversion from trans to cis configuration is revealed by a shift of the fluorescence peak and by inspection of the infrared maker bands. The crystal packing apparently stabilizes the cis photoproduct, suggesting different environmental effects from the solvent molecules for this model chromophore in liquid solutions or from the amino acid residues for the PYP chromophore.  相似文献

Laser-induced plasma is used as an X-ray source for the growth of hillocks like nanostructures on platinum surface. To generate X-rays, plasma is produced by Nd:YAG laser, which is operated at second harmonics (λ?=?532?nm, E?=?400?mJ). Analytical grade 5?N pure Al, Cu and W are used as laser targets for X-rays production. X-rays produced from Al, Cu and W plasmas are used to irradiate three analytical grade (5?N pure) platinum substrates, respectively, under the vacuum ~10?4 torr. XRD analysis shows considerable structural changes in the exposed platinum. The decrement in reflection intensities, increment in dislocation line density, change in d-spacing and disturbance in the periodicity of planes evidently prove these structural changes. Atomic force microscope AFM topographic analysis of the platinum exposed to X-rays emitted from Al, Cu and W targets showed that nanometer-size hillocks are produced on the platinum surface irrespective of the source. It has also been observed that due to these hillocks, the roughness of the surface has increased. Conductivity of hillocks produced from X-rays produced by Al, Cu and W targets is compared and it is shown that the hillocks produced by Al target X-rays have better conductivity compared to the hillocks produced by X-rays from Cu and W targets.  相似文献
