A theoretical study of π-electron spin density distributions has been made for a series of fluoro-substituted hydrocarbon radical cations using unrestricted Hartree-Fock theory. Although some of the predicted proton splittings are not in very good agreement with experiment, the overall agreement with experiment can be passed as fairly satisfactory considering the approximate nature of the theory used. The experimental fluorine splittings can be well predicted by using a one-parameter relationship between the isotropic fluorine splitting (aF) and the π-electron spin density (ρCC) on the attached carbon. It has been further shown that both ρCC and the proportionality constant (Qeff) in the linear relation, are fairly insensitive to the parameter choice. 相似文献

Fluorescence spectroscopy of the endogenous emission of brain tumors has been researched as a potentially important method for the intraoperative localization of brain tumor margins. We investigated the use of time‐resolved, laser‐induced fluorescence spectroscopy for demarcation of primary brain tumors by studying the time‐resolved spectra of gliomas. The fluorescence of human brain samples (glioblastoma multiforme, cortex and white matter: six patients, 23 sites) was induced ex vivo with a pulsed nitrogen laser (337 nm, 3 ns). The time‐resolved spectra were detected in a 360–550 nm wavelength range using a fast digitizer and gated detection. Parameters derived from both the spectral‐ (intensities from narrow spectral bands) and the time domain (average lifetime) measured at 390 and 460 nm were used for tissue characterization. We determined that high‐grade gliomas are characterized by fluorescence lifetimes that varied with the emission wavelength (>3 ns at 390 nm, <1 ns at 460 nm) and their emission is overall longer than that of normal brain tissue. Our study demonstrates that the use of fluorescence lifetime not only improves the specificity of fluorescence measurements but also allows a more robust evaluation of data collected from brain tissue. Combined information from both the spectraland the time domain can enhance the ability of fluorescencebased techniques to diagnose and detect brain tumor margins intraoperatively. 相似文献

A method is proposed for the extraction and individual separation of trivalent gallium, indium and thallium from salicylate media using triphenylarsine oxide dissolved in toluene as an extractant. The optimum extraction conditions are evaluated and described. The extracted metal ions are stripped and estimated spectrophotometrically following complexation with 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol. A possible mechanism of the extraction is discussed. The method permits rapid and precise individual separation of gallium (III), indium (III) and thallium (III) and is applicable to the analysis of alloy samples. 相似文献

Summary A simple and rapid method is described for synergetic extraction and spectrophotometric determination of iron(II). The Fe(II)--furildioxime-pyridine complex extracted into chloroform has a characteristic pink color measurable at 570 nm. Iron is also separated from associated elements and the results of the analysis of synthetic mixtures and standard steel samples are reported.

This work describes a rational approach for addressing the prototropy-related problems in heterocycle-based self-assembling systems by the use of degenerate prototropy. As a proof of principle, the utility of degenerate prototropy is demonstrated herein by developing heterocycle-based AADD-type self-assembling modules that exist as "single set of protameric pair (duplex)" in both solution and solid states. These self-assembling modules are quickly accessible in good yield by reacting 2-amino-5,5-disubstituted-1H-pyrimidine-4,6-diones, available in one step by the condensation of alpha,alpha-dialkyl malonates and free guanidine, with isocyanates. Evidence from NMR spectroscopy, ESI mass spectrometry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies confirmed the formation of molecular duplexes. The effect of electronic repulsion in duplex formation is also investigated. Their ready synthetic accessibility, remarkably high propensity to crystal formation, and the novel property of degenerate prototropy would make these novel self-assembling molecules promising candidates for many proposed applications. 相似文献

A new and simple method has been developed for the rapid extraction of tungsten(VI) with mesityl oxide. Quantitative extraction occurs from solutions 1M in hydrochloric acid and 12M in lithium chloride (as the salting-out agent) with 75% mesityl oxide in isobutyl methyl ketone. Tungsten is finally determined photometrically as the thiocyanate complex in the aqueous phase. Tungsten-(VI) can be extracted and determined satisfactorily in the presence of several elements. A simple selective method is presented for the solvent extraction of yttrium from salicylate media by using triphenylphosphine
oxide. Yttrium is extracted quantitatively from 0.05 mol/l sodium salicylate solution at pH 4.5–5.0 using 1.8% triphenylphosphine
oxide dissolved in toluene as an extractant and can be subsequently stripped using water and determined spectrophotometrically
with Thoron-I. This precise and accurate method permits the separation of Y from Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Zr, Hf, Th and U from
binary mixtures and multi-component systems.

The mass spectra of eight 1,2,4-triazole derivaties have been recorded and found tao reveal extensive hydrogen and skeletal migrations. The structures of the fragments have been confirmed by deuterium labelling and exact mass measurement. Summary Separation of uranium(VI) from iron(III), molybdenum(VI), vanadium (V), bismuth(III), zirconium(IV) and thorium(IV) is achieved by liquid-liquid extraction with 4-methyl-3-pentene-2-one (mesityl oxide; MeO) from sodium salicylate media (0.1M, pH 6.0). The extracted species is UO2(HO·C6H4COO)2·2MeO. A procedure for separating 50g of uranium from mg amounts of the other metals is described.
