The effect of electromagnetic radiation with a frequency close to the maximum of absorption of atmospheric oxygen on the Briggs-Rauscher self-oscillating reaction is described. It is shown that the radiation intensifies oxygen production and lengthens the duration of the self-oscillating regime by more than 20%.  相似文献

Widespread pathologies such as atherosclerosis, metabolic syndrome and cancer are associated with dysregulation of sterol biosynthesis and metabolism. Cholesterol modulates the signaling pathways of neoplastic transformation and tumor progression. Lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase (cytochrome P450(51), CYP51A1) catalyzes one of the key steps in cholesterol biosynthesis. The fairly low somatic mutation frequency of CYP51A1, its druggability, as well as the possibility of interfering with cholesterol metabolism in cancer cells collectively suggest the clinical importance of CYP51A1. Here, we show that the natural flavonoid, luteolin 7,3′-disulfate, inhibits CYP51A1 activity. We also screened baicalein and luteolin, known to have antitumor activities and low toxicity, for their ability to interact with CYP51A1. The Kd values were estimated using both a surface plasmon resonance optical biosensor and spectral titration assays. Unexpectedly, in the enzymatic activity assays, only the water-soluble form of luteolin—luteolin 7,3′-disulfate—showed the ability to potently inhibit CYP51A1. Based on molecular docking, luteolin 7,3′-disulfate binding suggests blocking of the substrate access channel. However, an alternative site on the proximal surface where the redox partner binds cannot be excluded. Overall, flavonoids have the potential to inhibit the activity of human CYP51A1 and should be further explored for their cholesterol-lowering and anti-cancer activity.  相似文献

A fundamental possibility of visualizing cluster structures formed in distilled water by an optical method based on the analysis of dynamic speckle structures is demonstrated. It is shown for the first time that, in contrast to the existing concepts, water clusters can be rather large (up to 200 -m in size), and their lifetime is several tens of seconds. These clusters are found to have an internal spatially inhomogeneous structure, constantly changing in time. The properties of magnetized and non-magnetized water are found to differ significantly. In particular, the number of clusters formed in magnetized water is several times larger than that formed in the same volume of non-magnetized water.  相似文献

The complex permittivities of composite materials that are based on the two-component epoxy binder with various volume concentrations of the UV-irradiated multilayer carbon nanotubes are determined using the microwave transmission spectra. The effect of the UV-irradiation time on the mean conductivity of the nanotubes in the composite in the microwave range is studied. It is demonstrated that the limitations on the working volume of the chamber in which the UV irradiation of the carbon nanotubes is performed substantially affects the electrophysical characteristics of the nanotubes.  相似文献

[formula: see text] Iron salts efficiently catalyze the Doyle-Kirmse reaction of allyl sulfides with (trimethylsilyl)diazomethane and ethyl diazoacetate in dichloroethane at 83 degrees C. Competitive dimerization is less of a problem with (trimethylsilyl)diazomethane than with ethyl diazoacetate. Good results are obtained using only 1.5 equiv of (trimethylsilyl)diazomethane, even without slow addition. Phosphine ligands affect the kinetics, but not the diastereoselectivity. Dppe and BINAP lead to higher yields than dppp, but no enantioselection was detected with R-(+)-BINAP.  相似文献

The data reported in this paper demonstrate that great care must be taken when choosing an appropriate catalyst for a given metathesis reaction. First-generation catalysts were found to be useful in the metathesis of sterically unhindered substrates. Second-generation catalysts (under optimised conditions) showed good to excellent activities toward sterically hindered and electron-withdrawing group (EWG)-substituted alkenes that do not react using the first-generation complexes. A strong temperature effect was noted on all of the reactions tested. Interestingly, attempts to force a reaction by increasing the catalyst loading were much less effective. Therefore, when possible, it is suggested that metathesis transformations should be carried out with a second-generation catalyst at 70 degrees C in toluene. However, different second-generation catalysts proved to be optimal for different applications and no single catalyst outperformed all others in all cases. Nevertheless, some empirical rules can be deduced from the model experiments, providing preliminary hints for the selection of the optimal catalysts.  相似文献
