Summary A new method has been developed for the quantitative determination of gas mixture composition where air penetration during gas sample collection would lead to erroneous results. It requires the use of a stationary phase that separates gas sample components and the air and involves 4–5 analyses of samples of equal volumes containing different amounts of air. By graphical extrapolation of the air peak area (S air ) as a function of the peak areas of the individual components (S comp ) the areas for these components in the absence of air can be obtained forS air =0. Using calibration curves for the pure gas components the true quantitative composition of the gas mixture is estimated.  相似文献

Thermal, thermomechanical, and caloric properties of commercial orthodontic wires (produced by Natural Orthodontics Corp., USA) with cylindrical and rectangular geometry were studied. Depending on the applied forces, there were identified the range of elasticity, the elasticity–viscoelasticity coexistence domain and the domain in which a maximum force of 18 N is applied, for the orthodontic wires. When increasing the thickness of orthodontic wires, deformation decreases. The Controlled Force Module, in the tension mode, was used for the determination of the orthodontic wires elongation at application of the stretching forces from 0 to 13 N, at 35 °C, maintaining each static force value for 3 min. The increase in the cross-sectional area of the orthodontic wires disfavors the process of elongation of the sample, at the same applied static force. Using the Multi-Frequency–Strain–Stress modulus, in the tension mode, DMA cyclic heating–cooling measurements were performed. The measured physical quantities for orthodontic wires were Storage Modulus, Loss Modulus, Tanδ and Stiffness, at heating and cooling. Thus, the characteristic temperatures of the phase transitions (As, Af, Ms, Mf), of all the studied orthodontic wires were identified. Also, the values of the elasticity modulus (Young’s Modulus) of the orthodontic wires were calculated at 35 °C. With the DSC Q200 device, using temperature-modulated differential scanning calorimetry method, a multi-step temperature variation program, was applied to a rectangular wire, in three stages (cooling–heating–cooling). Through the interpretation of heat fluxes (reversible, irreversible and total), the phase transitions in the formation of martensite, austenite, but also of the rombohedral phase (R-phase), were identified. Formations of austenite and martensite were also evidenced by the classical DSC method, but the classical DSC method also enabled the R-phase identification. The adherence of some food dyes on the orthodontic wires, as well as the modification of the surface roughness of the orthodontic wire after the deposition of the food dye, was also studied. By magnetic measurements, it was established that the orthodontic wires had paramagnetic properties at room temperature, and nitinol was a mixture of 49.2% austenite and 50.8% martensite.

A series of piperidoimidazolinium salts which differ in the chain lengths (butyl, octyl, dodecyl, octadecyl) and their Pd–N‐heterocyclic carbene complexes with pyridine were synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods. The effects of these ligands on catalyst activation and the performance of the complexes were studied in Suzuki–Miyaura reactions of arylboronic acid with aryl chlorides. The complex with the ligand having the longest chain length was found to be most active. The results demonstrated that the length of the alkyl chain of the piperidoimidazolin‐2‐ylidene controlled the dispersion and composition of the nanoparticles and it affected the catalytic activity. The impact of alkyl chain length of piperidoimidazolin‐2‐ylidene on the Suzuki–Miyaura reactions of arylboronic acid with aryl halides was systematically investigated.  相似文献

Two polydentade Schiff base ligands and their Ru(III), Cr(III) and Fe(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis (C, H, N), UV/Vis, FT IR, 1H and 13C NMR, LC–MS/MS, molar conductivity and magnetic susceptibility techniques. The absorption bands in the electronic spectra and magnetic moment measurements verified an octahedral environment around the metal ions in the complexes. The thermal stabilities were investigated using TGA. The synthesized complexes were used in the catalytic oxidation of 2-methyl naphthalene (2MN) to 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone; vitamin K3, menadione, 2MNQ; using hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid and sulfuric acid. L1-Fe(III) complex showed very efficient catalytic activity with 58.54% selectivity in the conversions of 79.11%.  相似文献

Atom‐economic and regioselective C ?C bond formation has been achieved by rapid C?H alkylation of unprotected secondary arylamines with unactivated alkenes. The combination of Ta(CH2SiMe3)3Cl2, and a ureate N,O‐chelating‐ligand salt gives catalytic systems prepared in situ that can realize high yields of β‐alkylated aniline derivatives from either terminal or internal alkene substrates. These new catalyst systems realize C?H alkylation in as little as one hour and for the first time a 1:1 stoichiometry of alkene and amine substrates results in high yielding syntheses of isolated amine products by simple filtration and concentration.  相似文献

Firstly, poly[phenyl thiadiazole methacrylamide-co-divinylbenzene-co-2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid] (PTMAAm-co-DVB-co-AMPS), a new polymer resin was synthesized. This polymer resin was characterized by elemental analyzer, X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and IR spectrometer. The glass column packed with the synthesized polymer resin was used for solid phase extraction (SPE). At the same time, the analytes were separated and preconcentrated from various water, dried vegetables samples and standard reference material (CRM) with SPE and determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometer (FAAS). The experimental conditions of this method such as pH, flow rates of sample, flow rates of eluent, type / concentration / volume of eluent, sample volume and matrix ions were examined. The limits of detection (µg L?1) were calculated (3s) 0.9 for Mn(II), 1.4 for Cd(II), Co(II) and Zn(II), 1.5 for Cr(III), 2.2. for Cu(II), 1.9 for Pb(II),1.5 for Ni(II) and 1.9 for Fe(III) (n = 21). The low relative standard deviation, ≤ 2% (n = 11) and preconcentration factor as 75 for analytes were obtained.  相似文献

In this work, a new polymer resin with a functional groups capable of holding trace metals has been synthesized. The structure of polymer resin has been examined by BET-N2 method analyzer, IR spectrometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and elemental microanalyser. The synthesized polymer resin was used for the simultaneous separation and preconcentration of the trace metals from various tea and herbal plants samples. After extraction process, flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) was used to determine the trace metals. The analytical parameters and solid phase extraction (SPE) performance such as pH, sample volume, flow rates of sample, flow rates of eluent, concentration, volume and type of eluent and effect of interference ions, were investigated. The limits of detection (DL) of the SPE procedure for trace metals, were calculated to be (3s) in the range of 0.9?4.0 μg L?1 (n = 21) and the factors of preconcentration (PF) were obtained at 200 for Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Ni and Zn, and at 50 for Cr, Mn and Pb ions and the relative standard deviation (RSD) at ≤ 2% (n = 11).  相似文献

Crystal structure of the compound entitled 2-methylamino-5-[(5-methyl-2-benzoxazolinone-3-yl)methyl]-1,3,4-thiadiazole dihydrophosphate is determined using X-ray analysis and compared with the structure obtained from semiempirical and RHF methods at various levels of theory. RHF/6-31G(d) calculations offer the best conformity with X-ray results for bond lengths and bond angles. Moreover, at the result of the comparison of various combinations of basis sets and methods, it appears that there is not much gain in accuracy by using sophisticated methods.  相似文献

The surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra of Eriochrome Black T (EBT) and its Cu(II), Fe(III), Mn(II) and Pb(II) complexes were recorded using a hydroxylamine reduced silver colloid. Molecular geometry optimization, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) distribution and vibrational frequencies calculation were performed at B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory for the EBT molecule and its Cu(EBT), Fe(EBT) and Mn(EBT) metal complexes. Differentiation between EBT complexes of Cu(II), Fe(III), Mn(II) and Pb(II) is shown by the SERS spectral features of each complex.  相似文献

Amidoxime modified hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) films (HPMC-g-AO) were used for the recovery of uranium from aqueous solutions by a complexation process. The adsorption experiments were carried out by immersion of a certain amount of films in UO2 2+ solutions (resultant pH 4.1) ranging in concentration from 100 to 1,000 ppm. The effect of temperature (25–50 °C) on the adsorption capacity of HPMC-g-AO was investigated at the optimized time. The adsorption kinetics and the thermodynamics as well as the adsorption capacity of HPMC-g-AO films were investigated. The adsorption capacity was found as 765 mg UO2 2+/g dry film. The kinetic and the thermodynamic parameters (i.e. activation energy, enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy) for the interaction of UO2 2+ with HPMC-g-AO were calculated based on known basic relations. The results showed that adsorption occurred through strong electrostatic interactions with an enthalpy of ?36.5 kJ/mol. The desorption of UO2 2+ were investigated using different desorption agents such as EDTA, HCl, NaHCO3, and NaOH. After the 2 weeks treatment period, the highest desorption yield were found as 23 % with NaHCO3.  相似文献
