Magnetic properties of amorphous Mn
x
B100–x
alloys ranging fromx = 30 to 70 under high magnetic fields and low ac magnetic fields in the temperature range from 4.2 K to room temperature have been investigated. Samples which have Mn concentrations of aboutx = 40–60 show spin-glass-like properties in the low-temperature region. This spin-glass characteristics result from a frustration in the spin system which is caused by the competition of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions between randomly distributed Mn atoms. Both magnetization at 4.2 K and paramagnetic momentP
eff as a function of Mn concentration show a peak aroundx 44 which drops rapidly towards both sides of the Mn content. 相似文献

We calculated the (dµ)
n=1 +t scattering in the energy region of the (dtµ)* resonant states below then=2 level of the tµ atom. From the cross sections, we estimated the resonant energies, widths and branching ratios. We found eleven resonant states with angular momentumJ=0, and some of their resonant energies relative to then=2 level of tµ are small enough to form the [(dtµ)* dee] by the Vesman mechanism. These resonant states decay to (dµ)[inn=1 +t or (tµ)
n=1 + d scattering states. The total decay rates are about 1011 s–1 which is three orders of magnitude larger than the fusion rates of (dtµ)*4 He + n+ 17.6 MeV + µ. The main part of the decaying channel from the shallow resonant states is the (dµ)
n=1 +t channel. The branching ratios of the (dµ)
n=1 +t decay channel are around 0.9. Most of the muons that reach to then=2 states of tµ can transfer to then=1 state of du through (tµ)
n=2 + D2 [(dtµ)*dee] and (dtµ)* (dµ)

We have investigated the temperature dependencies of the slope efficiency and the threshold current for strained multiquantum well (MQW) lasers as a parameter of the well number. Smaller well numbers mean larger temperature dependencies of the slope efficiency and the threshold current, while larger well numbers mean larger internal loss and broadening of the photoluminescence linewidth of the MQW structure. Furthermore, the change in the slope efficiency with temperature change is related to the change in internal loss. In this work, the 1.3-m strained MQW laser with a compressive strain of 1.0% and 7 wells shows the highest output power of 6.8 mW for an injection current of 50 mA and the lowest threshold current of 5.5 mA at 85°C, and the lowest variation in output power of 2.0 dB from 25–85°C at injection current of 50 mA. 相似文献

Continuous Wave (CW) laser action has been observed from a Ho:Tm:LuAG rod at 2.1 m pumped by a diode laser at 785 nm in the temperature range of 77–200 K. The maximum power observed was 1.38 W at an incident power of 4 W at a crystal temperature of 77 K. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency was observed to be 35.6% at a threshold power of 0.2 W with a 95% output coupling mirror. 相似文献

The effect of inelastic scattering on the electron reflection in multi-quantum barriers (MQBs) has been examined using the damped resonant tunnelling model for the first time. The electron reflectivity in the virtual barrier region for unstrained GalnAs/InP MQB deteriorates below 100% by about 10% for phase relaxation time of 0.22ps. We propose a strain-compensated GalnAs/GalnP MQB which not only has virtual barrier 4 times as high as that of an unstrained MQB, but whose reflectivity deterioration is reduced to less than 5% in comparison with 10% for unstrained MQB for the same phase relaxation time. We have also successfully grown a Ga0.25In0.75As (1.5% compressive) well/Ga0.25In0.75P (1.2% tensile) barrier short-period superlattice with six wells by chemical beam epitaxy, which exhibits the possibility of fabrication of the strain-compensated MQBs. 相似文献

Operating characteristics of a Q-switched Nd3+: doped single-mode silica fibre with a mechanical chopper as a Q-switching device are presented. Peak powers as high as 16 W with pulse duration of 146 ns are demonstrated. Self-mode-locking in Nd3+:doped fibre is also reported. The francium isotopes200–202Fr were produced in the reaction35Cl+170Yb using bombarding energies of 4.9–5.3 MeV/nucleon. Fusion products were separated in-flight from the primary beam using
a gas-filled recoil separator. An alpha line with the alpha particle energy and half-life of (7468±9) keV and (19

) ms, respectively, was assigned to200Fr. Previously reported decay properties of201,202Fr were confirmed.

We propose a self-aligned imaging system (SAIS) using phase conjugate readout from an elementary holographic grating. The SAIS provides a huge amount of interconnections between a lot of points on two corresponding imaging planes without troublesome mechanical alignment. In the SAIS, a hologram for one-to-one interconnection is used for many-to-many interconnections. In addition, the SAIS has the capability of correcting aberration. One-dimensional modelling was applied to a TEA CO2 laser whose discharge volume was divided into multiple narrow channels. Each of these channels was regarded as a separate laser channel in which a circuit-coupled kinetic model was employed to compute its discharge formation, and a rate-equation model was used to predict its laser output. Such a one-dimensional model could be employed to study the spatial variation in the transverse discharge—due mainly to a one-sided ultraviolet-preionization and the electrode contour—and its effects on the laser output.
