In this paper, we analyze a finite buffer queueing model with two servers and two nonpreemptive priority service classes. The arrival streams are independent Poisson processes, and the service times of the two classes are exponentially distributed with different means. One of the two servers is reserved exclusively for one class with high priority and the other server serves the two classes according to a nonpreemptive priority service schedule. For the model, we describe its dynamic behavior by a four-dimensional continuous-time Markov process. Applying recursive approaches we present the explicit representation for the steady-state distribution of this Markov process. Then, we calculate the Laplace–Stieltjes Transform and the steady-state distribution of the actual waiting times of two classes of customers. We also give some numerical comparison results with other queueing models.  相似文献

Halogen bonds involving an aromatic moiety as an acceptor, otherwise known as R?X???π interactions, have increasingly been recognized as being important in materials and in protein–ligand complexes. These types of interactions have been the subject of many recent investigations, but little is known about the ways in which the strengths of R?X???π interactions vary as a function of the relative geometries of the interacting pairs. Here we use the accurate CCSD(T) and SAPT2+3δMP2 methods to investigate the potential energy landscapes for systems of HBr, HCCBr, and NCBr complexed with benzene. It is found that only the separation between the complexed molecules have a strong effect on interaction strength while other geometric parameters, such as tilting and shifting R?Br???π donor relative to the benzene plane, affect these interactions only mildly. Importantly, it is found that the C6v (T‐shaped) configuration is not the global minimum for any of the dimers investigated.  相似文献

Equations for fully fluidized granular materials are proposed and are solved in a simple case. In fully fluidized granular materials, the granular particles slip or collide with each other and energy is dissipated. In describing the energy dissipation process characteristic to granular materials, a measure of random motion of granular particles is introduced as a new internal variable. We derive the constitutive equations by using a simple kinematical model of the collision of particles. The set of equations for fully fluidized granular materials obtained has properties similar to the equations that describe turbulence. For reasonable assumptions, these equations predict the results of Bagnold, namely that the shear and normal stress depend upon the square of the velocity gradient. In case of steady one-dimensional gravity flow the calculated flow profiles resemble experimental ones.
Résumé Des équations pour des matériaux granulés entièrement fluides sont proposées et résolues dans un cas simple. Par le frottement et les collisions des particules entre elles, de l'énergie est dissipée. Pour décrire l'énergie de dissipation, on introduit une mesure du mouvement aléatoire des particules comme nouvelle variable intense. Un module cinématique simple de la collision des particules permet d'établir les équations. Ces équations ont des propriétés semblables aux équations de la turbulence. Sous des hypothèses raisonnables, elles prédisent les résultats de Bagnold, à savoir que l'abrasion et la tension normale dépendent du gradient de la vitesse. Pour un flux de granité stable, les profils de flux calculés ressemblent à ceux obtenus expérimentalement.

Thin films of cobalt-iron cyanide (Co-Fe Prussian blue) have been fabricated by means of the modified Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method using a smectite clay mineral (montmorillonite). In this combined method, clay LB films play a template role in the formation of the Co-Fe Prussian blue thin layer. The films were revealed to possess a well-organized structure not only in perpendicular directions to the film surface but also in parallel directions to the film surface. The photoinduced electron transfer from the iron ion to the cobalt through the bridging cyanide in the films occurred at low temperature (8 K), similar to that in the bulk Co-Fe Prussian blue. The films clearly exhibited magnetic anisotropy with regards to the direction of the applied magnetic field. Moreover, the photoinduced magnetization effect in the films was also found to be anisotropic.  相似文献

Abstract— The Plasmodium of the myxomycete Physarum polycephalum sporulates in bright natural environments, suggesting a relationship between photobehavior and sporulation. Thus, the action spectra for two light-dependent phenomena as well as the effects of other environmental conditions have been studied. Sporulation like photo-avoidance responded to UVC (near 270 nm) and near IR (near 750 nm) in addition to the well-documented UVA (near 350 nm) and blue (near 460 nm) regions. Sporulation and photoavoidance had similar sensitivities in the shorter wavelengths, while the former was about 100 times more sensitive in near IR. The Plasmodium moved away from light in a wide spectral range. Starvation and high temperature at 31°C (25°C in standard conditions) reduced photoavoidance to UVA and to blue light, respectively. A high fluence rate of UVC suppressed the rhythmic contraction of the Plasmodium, and the action spectrum peaked at 270 nm. These results indicate that the Physarum Plasmodium may stay at brighter places not by positive phototaxis but by weakening the negative phototaxis to sunlight or by other possible taxes such as hydrotaxis. There may be at least four different photo-systems in the Plasmodium.  相似文献

A chiral sensing electrode has been prepared by coating an indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate with a hybrid film of metal complexes and a clay layer (montmorillonite). By applying the combined method of the Langmuir-Blodgett and self-assembly techniques, a monolayer of a water-soluble chiral metal complex (Lambda-[Os(phen)(3)](2+)), which acted as a mediator of oxidizing a target molecule, was fixed electrostatically onto a single-layered clay film. Chiral sensing was demonstrated by monitoring a photocurrent when the electrode was in contact with an aqueous NaClO(4) solution of 1,1'-2-binaphthol. As a result, the S-1,1'-2-binaphthol gave a photocurrent 1.8 times higher than the R-isomer at the applied potential of 700 mV (vs Ag|AgCl|KCl(sat)). Detection limit was determined to be 40 microM from the concentration dependence of a response current. Mechanisms for chiral sensing effect were explained in terms of the stereoselective binding of 1,1'-2-binaphthol with adsorbed Lambda-[Os(phen)(3)](2+) on a clay surface.  相似文献

A flow injection analysis system was built with a liquid core waveguide spectrophotometric detector using an 80 cm Teflon AF-1600 capillary tube (2,2-bistrifluoromethyl-4,5-difluoro-1,3-dioxole/tetrafluoroethylene). The system was applied to determine nitrite ion in river water samples. The lower limit of detection for nitrite was 2.1 nmol dm(-3) (0.1 ng dm(-3) as NO(2)(-)) and the relative standard deviation of measurements was typically 0.56% (n = 5) at 0.21 micromol dm(-3).  相似文献
