In this study, we have investigated the effect of counter anions on the morphology of cobalt oxide nanostructures. The nanostructures of cobalt oxide are prepared by a low temperature aqueous chemical growth method. The morphology of cobalt oxide nanostructure material was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and the crystalline structure was studied by powder X‐ray diffraction technique. The cobalt oxide nanostructures exhibit the nanowire, lump, bundle of the nanowire and flower‐like morphologies. The XRD study has revealed a cubic phase of cobalt oxide nanostructures. The electro‐catalytic properties of cobalt oxide nanostructures were explored through cyclic voltammetry and amperometric techniques by sensing of lactic acid in the alkaline media. The cobalt oxide nanostructures prepared from cobalt nitrate have shown a well‐resolved redox peak. The proposed mechanism for the non‐enzymatic lactic acid sensor is elucidated by considering the morphology and cyclic voltammetry response. The limit of detection for the sensor was found to be 0.006 mM and it exhibits a linear range from 0.05–3 mM of lactic acid as shown by cyclic voltammetry. The amperometric response has shown the excellent current‐concentration response and the linear range of sensor was found to be 0.1 mM to 5.5 mM. The lactic acid sensor is stable, selective and can be used for practical applications. This study provides an excellent alternative analytical tool for the determination of lactic acid.  相似文献

Microwave-assisted functionalization of single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) in a mixture of nitric and sulfuric acids was carried out to synthesize highly water-dispersible nanotubes. Stable concentrations as high as 10 mg/mL were obtained in deionized water that are nearly 2 orders of magnitude higher than those previously reported. This was after only 3 min of functionalization reaction. Fourier transform infrared spectra showed the presence of carboxylated (-COOH) and acid sulfonated (-SO(2).OH or -SO(3)(-) H(+)) groups on the SWNTs. On the basis of elemental analysis, it was estimated that one out of three carbon atoms was carboxylated, while one out of 10 carbon atoms was sulfonated. The Raman spectra taken both in aqueous dispersion and in the solid phase indicated charge transfer from the SWNT backbone to the functional groups. Scanning electron microscope images of thin films deposited from an aqueous suspension showed that the SWNTs were aligned parallel to one another on the substrate. The images also indicated some reduction in average length of the nanotubes. Transmission electron microscope images of thin films from a dilute methanol dispersion showed that the SWNTs were extensively debundled. Laser light scattering particle size measurements did not show evidence for the existence of particles in the 3-800 nm size range, indicating that the functionalized SWNTs might have dispersed to have formed a true solution. Moreover, the microwave-processed SWNTs were found to contain significantly smaller amounts of the original iron catalyst relative to that present in the starting nanotubes. The electrical conductivity of a thermally annealed thin membrane obtained from the microwave-functionalized SWNTs was found to be the same as that of a similar membrane obtained from a suspension of the starting nanotubes.  相似文献

First-principles calculations by means of the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave method using the generalized gradient approximation with correlation effect correction(GGA+U) within the framework of spin polarized density functional theory(DFT+U) are used to study the structural,electronic,and magnetic properties of cubic perovskite compounds RbXF_3(X = Mn,V,Co,and Fe).It is found that the calculated structural parameters,i.e.,lattice constant,bulk modulus,and its pressure derivative are in good agreement with the previous results.Our results reveal that the strong spin polarization of the 3d states of the X atoms is the origin of ferromagnetism in RbXF_3.Cohesive energies and the magnetic moments of RbXF_3 have also been calculated.The calculated electronic properties show the half-metallic nature of RbCoF_3 and RbFeF_3,making these materials suitable for spintronic applications.  相似文献

Analysis of multiparticle production data on 14.5A GeV/c 28Si?AgBr collisions in terms of erraticity is carried out and the results are compared with those obtained from the Monte Carlo simulated data (using event generator HIJING). It is shown that like the multifractal spectrum through G qmoments, erraticity spectrum may also be constructed from the observed power-law behaviour of the erraticity moments. Further, for examining the dominance of statistical fluctuations over the erraticity behaviour, correlation-free Monte Carlo events are simulated and analyzed. A comparison of the experimental and simulation results indicates that the fluctuations observed in the case of experimental data are not only because of the statistical reasons, but may have some dynamical origin.  相似文献

The dielectric track detectors are very efficient in registering the main fragments of a heavy ion reaction in the presence of lightly ionizing products and γ-radiations because of their threshold nature of registration and wide-angle acceptance. The binary events, revealed after chemical etching of these detectors, appear as the events having two correlated prongs in the body of the detector. The measurements of the geometrical parameters of these prongs provide the necessary data for subsequent kinematical analysis. We have made a thorough analysis of the two-pronged events in order to understand the physical mechanism of their production, using the track data from the reactions,  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a family of optimal eighth order convergent iterative methods for multiple roots with known multiplicity with the introduction of two free parameters and three univariate weight functions.
