The crystal structure of the pentapyrrin1 was determined by X-ray diffraction methodes at two temperatures (298K and 97K). It is the first structure determination of a linear polypyrrole with more than four pyrrole rings. In the crystal, the molecule is located on a crystallographic two-fold axis, which passes through the central pyrrole ring. It assumes a helical overall-conformation, which is stabilized by intramolecular hydrogen bonding. The acidic proton at the nitrogen atom of the central pyrrolic ring is disordered, being observed with half occupancy at two symmetry-equivalent positions off the crystallographic diad. Attempts to remove the disorder by cooling to 97K were unsuccessful, since no indication for a phase transition was detected.

Recently, we demonstrated that Pt catalyst complexes dissolved in the ionic liquid (IL) [C4C1Im][PF6] can be deliberately enriched at the IL surface by introducing perfluorinated substituents, which act like buoys dragging the metal complex towards the surface. Herein, we extend our previous angle-resolved X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ARXPS) studies at complex concentrations between 30 and 5 %mol down to 1 %mol and present complementary surface tension pendant drop (PD) measurements under ultraclean vacuum conditions. This combination allows for connecting the microscopic information on the IL/gas interface derived from ARXPS with the macroscopic property surface tension. The surface enrichment of the Pt complexes is found to be most pronounced at 1 %mol. It also displays a strong temperature dependence, which was not observed for 5 %mol and above, where the surface is already saturated with the complex. The surface enrichment deduced from ARXPS is also reflected by the pronounced decrease in surface tension with increasing concentration of the catalyst. We furthermore observe by ARXPS and PD a much stronger surface affinity of the buoy-complex as compared to the free ligands in solution. Our results are highly interesting for an optimum design of IL-based catalyst systems with large contact areas to the surrounding reactant/product phase, such as in supported IL phase (SILP) catalysis.  相似文献

Pyrimethamine is an important antiparasitic drug in the treatment of malaria and toxoplasmosis and is often used in combination with either sulfadoxine, sulfalene, or sulfadiazine. Determining the content of pyrimethamine and investigating the related substances is currently possible applying either a compendial monograph utilizing thin layer chromatography as well as liquid chromatographic methods used by the respective manufacturers. To provide a simple method which is capable of determining the content of pyrimethamine and of resolving four of its potential synthetic impurities a very simple, cheap, precise, and accurate isocratic RP-HPLC method was developed. All analytes can be separated within a total runtime of 30 min and the method was linear within the concentration ranges of 0.12–0.740, 0.104–0.621, 0.120–0.710, 2.0–11.8, and 1.01–5.80 µg mL?1 for pyrimethamine, impurity A, impurity B, impurity C, and impurity D, respectively. These substances were separated by employing a Eurospher-II C18H column (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 µm particle size), a mobile phase being a mixture of a 0.05 M KH2PO4 buffer solution (pH 2.6) and methanol in the ratio 40:60 (v/v). The analysis was carried out at 30 °C, applying a flow rate of 1.2 mL min?1, and a detection wavelength of λ = 215 nm. The coefficients of determinations (R 2) for the five analytes were greater than 0.994 for pyrimethamine and all impurities. Results of recovery studies were within the range of 89.1–105.1% for all substances. In all tested genuine batches of pyrimethamine raw material impurities within the specified limits were present which is concurrent with results obtained from using the present manufacturer’s method.  相似文献

On the Preparation of Di(i-propyl)thiosulfonium Salts [1] The preparation of the mercaptosulfonium salts (i-C3H7)2SSX+SbCl6? (X = H, D) and of the chlorothiosulfonium salts (i-C3H7)2SSCl+MF6? (M = As, Sb) and (i-C3H7)2SSSCl+SbCl6? is reported. They are formed by reaction of chlorinated or protonated (i-C3H7)2S with excess H2S or SCl2 and S2Cl2. Phosphoraneiminato Cluster of Iron. The Crystal Structures of [FeCl(NPEt3)]4, [Fe(C=C–SiMe3)(NPEt3)]4, and [Fe3Cl4{NP(NMe2)3}3] The reaction of iron dichloride with the silylated phosphaneimine Me3SiNPEt3 in the presence of potassium fluoride at 165 ?C leads to the phosphoraneiminato complex [FeCl(NPEt3)]4 ( 1 ). Compound 1 forms black, moisture and oxygen sensitive crystals. According to the crystal structure analysis 1 has a heterocubane structure, in which the iron and the nitrogen atoms of the NPEt3 groups occupy the corners of a distorted cube and form Fe–N–Fe bond angles of 83.1? and N–Fe–N angles of 96.5?. This results in significantly short Fe…Fe contacts of 272.9 pm. The results of magnetic susceptibility measurements in the range of temperatures from 1.8 to 293 K and the 57Fe‐Mössbauer spectra in the range of temperatures from 2 to 300 K are reported. Compound 1 reacts with the lithiated acetylenes LiC=C–CMe3 and LiC=C–SiMe3 in n‐hexane to form the iron‐organic derivatives [Fe(C=C–R)(NPEt3)]4 [R = CMe3 ( 2 a ), R = SiMe3 ( 2 b )] keeping the heterocubane structure. Compounds 2 a and 2 b form crystals which are very reactive and also black. According to the crystal structure analysis 2 b has a Fe4N4 heterocubane structure which is less distorted than that in 1 with bond angles Fe–N–Fe of 85.5? and N–Fe–N of 94.2?. This leads to the longer Fe…Fe contacts of 281.4 pm. With the dimethylamido derivative Me3SiNP(NMe2)3 iron dichloride reacts under conditions similar to those in the synthesis of 1 to form the dark green mixed‐valenced FeII/FeIII cluster [Fe3Cl4{NP(NMe2)3}3] ( 3 ). According to the crystal structure analysis the three iron atoms in 3 are connected via one μ3‐N atom of a NP(NMe2)3 ligand, via two μ‐N atoms of the two remaining phosphoraneiminato ligands, and via one μ‐Cl atom to form an incomplete heterocubane skeleton.  相似文献

A water‐soluble derivative of the polyoxovanadate {V15E6O42} (E=semimetal) archetype enables the study of cluster shell rearrangements driven by supramolecular interactions. A reaction unique to E=Sb, induced exclusively by ligand metathesis in peripheral [Ni(ethylenediamine)3]2+ counterions, results in the formation of the metastable α1* configurational isomer of the {V14Sb8O42} cluster type. Contrary to all other polyoxovanadate shell architectures, this isomer comprises an inward‐oriented vanadyl group and is ca. 50 and 12 kJ mol?1 higher in energy than the previously isolated α and β isomers, respectively. We discuss this unexpected reaction in light of supramolecular Sb?O???V and Sb?O???Sb contacts manifested in {V14Sb8O42}2 dimers detected in the solid state. ESI MS experiments confirm the stability of these dimers also in solution and in the gas phase. DFT calculations indicate that other, as of yet elusive isomers of {V14Sb8}, might be accessible as well.  相似文献
