We developed novel supramolecular gelators with simple molecular structures that could harden a broad range of solvents: aqueous solutions of a wide pH range, organic solvents, edible oil, biodiesel, and ionic liquids at gelation concentrations of 0.1-2 wt %. The supramolecular gelators were composed of a long hydrophobic tail, amino acids and gluconic acid, which were prepared by liquid-phase synthesis. Among seven types of the gelators synthesized, the gelators containing L-Val, L-Leu, and L-Ile exhibited high gelation ability to various solvents. These gelators were soluble in aqueous and organic solvents, and also in ionic liquids at high temperature. The gelation of these solvents was thermally reversible. The microscopic observations (TEM, SEM, and CLSM) and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) measurements suggested that the gelator molecules self-assembled to form entangled nanofibers in a large variety of solvents, resulting in the gelation of these solvents. Molecular mechanics and density functional theory (DFT) calculations indicated the possible molecular packing of the gelator in the nanofibers. Interestingly, the gelation of an ionic liquid by our gelator did not affect the ionic conductivity of the ionic liquid, which would provide an advantage to electrochemical applications.  相似文献

Dried rhizomes of Cimicifuga racemosa (CR), known as black cohosh, have been widely used as a herbal dietary supplement in the treatment of menopausal symptoms. Here we used experimental mouse stress models to investigate the role of anti-stress food factors, and found that a CR extract had stress-relieving effects. A single oral administration of CR extract (1,000 mg/kg) significantly attenuated plasma corticosterone and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) levels that had increased as a result of enforced immobilization. Bioassay-guided fractionation of the CR extract resulted in the isolation of 10 triterpenes, among which actein, 23-epi-26-deoxyactein, and cimiracemoside F (100 mg/kg, per os) were shown to contribute to the anti-stress effects. Furthermore, the CR extract significantly prevented the development of water immersion stress-induced gastric mucosal ulcers in rats. We propose that the CR extract might be suitable for the prevention and treatment of stress-related disorders.  相似文献

The authors have already reported that a DTN-cell (depolarization in a twisted nematic-cell) had several advantages to a matrix display such as a sharp threshold and wide viewing angle. But if the usual amplitude selection method is applied to a large scale matrix display using the DTN-mode, multiplex capability is limited by the cutoff frequency Fc, of a liquid crystal. Therefore, the authors investigated a two frequency addressing method, that is, simultaneous application of a constant low-frequency voltage and a variable high-frequency voltage. In this method, a liquid crystal with lower-Fc can be used. In addition, some advantages of extremely sharp threshold, high contrast and relatively fast response and recovery can be obtained by using a liquid crystal with large negative dielectric anisotropy. These advantages are useful for a large scale matrix display.  相似文献

Abstract

TiO2 intercalated H4Nb6O17 has been synthesized by the reactions of H4Nb6O17 with a titanyl acylate complex followed by UV irradiation. The gallery height, specific surface area and Ti content of the sample synthesized by using titanyl acylate complex were larger than that using TiO2 sol solution. Furthermore, the photocatalytic activity of the TiO2 pillared H4Nb6O17 prepared using a titanyl acylate precursor was twice larger than that fabricated using a TiO2 sol solution.  相似文献

Abstract

Phase separation in gels swollen by nematic solvents is investigated using a time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau model. We demonstrate that elasticity of the polymer network is responsible for a foam-like domain morphology observed in polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLCs). Rubber elasticity also prevents domain merger, leading to a coarsening behavior substantially slower than in liquid-liquid demixing. We briefly discuss phase separation in nematic polymer gels, in which operates a novel anchoring mechanism mediated by elastic strain.  相似文献

Monolithic conductive titanium oxides Ti(n)O(2n-1) (n = 2, 3, 4, 6) with well-defined macropores have been successfully prepared as a single phase, via reduction of a macroporous TiO(2) precursor monolith using zirconium getter. Despite substantial removal of oxide ions, all the reduced monoliths retain the macropore properties of the precursor, i.e., uniform pore size distribution and pore volume. Furthermore, compared to commercial porous Ebonex (shaped conductive Ti(n)O(2n-1)), the bulk densities (1.8 g cm(-3)) are half, and the porosities (60%) are about 3 times higher. The obtained Ti(n)O(2n-1) (n = 2, 3, 4, 6) macroporous monoliths could find applications as electrodes for many electrochemical reactions.  相似文献

Radon and thoron concentration in the outdoor environment are affected by the magnitude of the exhalation rate that can vary diurnally and seasonally. This paper presents measurement results of radon and thoron exhalation rates and gamma-ray dose rate in different season at same location points in Gunma Prefecture Japan. Exhalation rates were measured by the MSZ instrument which is based on the accumulation method. Three measurement points Katashina Village, Midori City and Takasaki City were selected for measurement. Soil water saturation and soil temperature were measured to investigate their relationship with exhalation rate. The diurnal variation of exhalation rate may be correlated with soil temperature but no clear relationship was found between them. The gamma-ray dose rate do not vary significantly at the same places even in different season. The average radon exhalation rates were 11 ± 2, 2 ± 1, 5 ± 3 and 11 ± 4 mBq m−2 s−1 for spring, summer, autumn and winter, respectively. Those for thoron were 1,100 ± 100, 120 ± 30, 250 ± 80 and 860 ± 140 mBq m−2 s−1. Thus there was a variation of radon and thoron exhalation rate with different seasons. The radon and thoron exhalation rates in the summer and autumn surveys are higher than those in the spring and winter surveys which were affected by rainfall. It indicates that water saturation is an influential factor for radon and thoron exhalation rates.  相似文献

The reactions of (±)-α-epoxy drimenol (4) and (±)-α-epoxy drimenyl cyanide (6) with acids (proton acid or Lewis acid) selectively gave the rearranged aldehyde (±)-13 and (±)-15 having the hydroindane skeleton, respectively, while the reactions of (±)-4 and (±)-6 with Dibal-H selectively afforded the allyl alcohol (±)-14 and (±)-16, respectively. The reactions of (8aR)-6 and (8aS)-6 with Dibal-H were applied for the determination of the absolute structure of natural 7β-acetoxy-ent-labda-8(17),13(14)E-dien-15-ol (18). The reaction of (±)-α-epoxy bicyclofarnesol (5) and (8aS)-5 with proton acid selectively provided the rearranged ketol (±)- and (8aS)-31 having the hydroindane skeleton, respectively. The optically active (8aS)-31 was converted to the natural (9S)-austrodoric acid (33).  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to compare the compatibility of ROCEPHINE? Intravenous, the original manufacturer's ceftriaxone sodium preparation for injection, and seven generic versions thereof, with various calcium chloride injection 2%. The influence of calcium ion concentration, storage time and shaking strength on the appearance and quantity of insoluble microparticles in mixed solutions was examined using a light obscuration particle counter. In all products, the observed number of insoluble microparticles was proportional to the calcium ion concentration, storage time and shaking strength after the addition of calcium chloride solution. In several of the generic products, the number of insoluble microparticles was significantly higher than those of the original product, while in others it was lower. We evaluated the quality of the original and 7 generic preparations, measured the content of impurity and pH of the various ceftriaxone solutions, as impurity content and pH of solution are possible factor affecting compatibility. Three impurities were found in all products. The impurity content of several generic products, as estimated from their peak area on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), was significantly lower than that of the original product. pH of solution was difference between products. Although it was difficult that impurity and pH of solution verify critical factor affecting compatibility. The results show that there are differences in the appearance of insoluble microparticles between the original product and seven generic products, when calcium chloride injection 2% solution is added to the product.  相似文献

In terms of molecular symmetry and bioactivity, new C3- and CS-symmetrical derivatives based on the tris(2-aminoethyl)amine scaffold were designed and synthesized. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for antiviral activity with herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) by a plaque reduction assay and for cytotoxic activity with Vero cells. Most of the compounds showed no significant anti-HSV-1 activity, but some of the symmetrical derivatives showed high levels of cytotoxic activitiy.  相似文献
