The success of organic light emitting diodes (OLED) has been witnessed by the commercialization of this technology for manufacturing the vivid and colorful displays used in our daily life now. The prospective growth of OLED technology on display industry will be optimistic. Over the last three decades, many different approaches on material and device designs have been implemented for improving the efficiency and stability of OLED devices. These efforts install main cornerstones to support the great achievement of OLED technology. However, until now, the performance and stability of blue OLEDs still have some concerns. This troublesome issue should be totally conquered before the large‐scale manufactures dominated over other display technologies, particularly liquid crystal‐based displays, takes place. Though significant progress has already been made to achieve high performance and long lifetime blue OLEDs, this topic still remains as one of the hot researches in OLEDs. We have been working on this area for about two decades and made some notable contributions. Consequently, in this personal account we have outlined our efforts to obtain better performing blue OLEDs by utilizing a range of emitters based on fluorescence, phosphorescence, delayed fluorescence and exciplex systems. We have also developed some novel host materials for blue OLEDs, which are worth mentioning in this account.  相似文献

Experiments were carried out to observe the effect of a magnetic field and grid biasing voltage in presence of a plasma bubble in a magnetized, filamentary discharge plasma system. A spherical mesh grid of 80% optical transparency was negatively biased and introduced into the plasma for creating a plasma bubble. Diagnostics via an electrical Langmuir probe and a hot emissive probe were extensively used for scanning the plasma bubble. Plasma floating potential fluctuations were measured at three different positions of the plasma bubble. The instability in the pattern showed the dynamic transition from periodic to chaotic for increasing magnetic fields. Time scale analysis using continuous wavelet transform was carried out to identify the presence of non‐linearity from the contour plots. The mechanisms of the low‐frequency instabilities along with the transition to chaos could be qualitatively explained. Non‐linear techniques such as fast Fourier transform, phase space plot, and recurrence plot were used to explore the dynamics of the system appearing during plasma fluctuations. In order to demonstrate the observed chaotic phenomena in this study, characteristics of chaos such as the Lyapunov exponent were obtained from experimental time series data. The experimentally observed potential structure is confirmed with numerical analysis based on fluid hydrodynamics.  相似文献

Superior ultrafast photoconductive properties make low temperature grown (LT) GaAs one of the best materials for photoconductive terahertz (THz) detection. However, the large bandgap of LT-GaAs limits its operation to gating at wavelengths shorter than 870 nm. Here, it is demonstrated for the first time that nanostructuring the LT-GaAs into a highly absorbing metasurface enables THz photoconductive detection with a pulsed laser at λ = 1.55 µm. The very weak sub-bandgap absorption mediated by midgap states in LT-GaAs is strongly enhanced using the concept of perfect absorption via degenerate critical coupling. Integrated with a THz antenna, the LT-GaAs metasurface enables high sensitivity THz detection with a high dynamic range of 60 dB and large bandwidth up to 4.5 THz. The LT-GaAs metasurface has the potential to serve as a universal ultrafast switching element for THz applications, enabling low-cost, turn-key THz systems for a variety of real-world applications.  相似文献

We present an integrated Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) based Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) in order to perform ultrafast all-optical XOR logic gate operation with a bit rate of ∼ 0.33 Tb/s. A numerical simulation is carried out in order to study various parameters such as extinction ratio and eye-opening parameters, characterizing the performance of the XOR logic gate. The output XOR logic gate signal can have improved extinction and eye margin if the initial powers of primary signals and the probe continuous-wave (CW), and SOI waveguide length are judiciously adjusted.  相似文献

The aim of the present paper is to calculate longitudinal structure function F L from QCD (Quantum Chromodynamics) evolution equation in next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) at small-x. The calculation of F L is important for the phenomenological study of gluon distribution function inside the nucleon. Here we use Taylor Series Expansion method to solve the evolution equation for small-x and thus obtain t-evolution of F L structure function. The calculated results are compared with H1 and ZEUS data and results of Block and Donnachie-Landshoff (DL) models.  相似文献

Temperature dependent Mössbauer measurements are done on the samples of La1–x Ca x Mn1–y 57Fe y O3 with x=0 and 0.25, and y=0.01. With decreasing temperature, the specimen with x=0.25 shows a paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition around 175 K. In the specimen x=0.0, the temperature dependence of both the center shift () and the recoilless fraction (f) can be fitted very well with the Debye theory with a D=320±50 K. But for the specimens with x=0.25, f and show distinct deviations from the Debye behavior in the temperature range in which the resistivity shows a sharp decrease. Dips observed in both the f and around the transition temperature suggest that the Jahn–Teller distortion observed in these systems is dynamic in nature.  相似文献

We investigate, by numerically calculating the charge stiffness, the effects of random diagonal disorder and electron-electron interaction on the nature of the ground state in the 2D Hubbard model through the finite-size exact diagonalization technique. By comparing with the corresponding 1D Hubbard model results and by using heuristic arguments we conclude that it is unlikely that there is a 2D metal-insulator quantum phase transition, although the effect of interaction in some range of parameters is to substantially enhance the noninteracting charge stiffness.  相似文献

We use a spatially resolved, direct spectroscopic probe for electronic structure with an additional sensitivity to chemical compositions to investigate high-quality single crystal samples of La(1/4)Pr(3/8)Ca(3/8)MnO3, establishing the formation of distinct insulating domains embedded in the metallic host at low temperatures. These domains are found to be at least an order of magnitude larger in size compared to previous estimates and exhibit memory effects on temperature cycling in the absence of any perceptible chemical inhomogeneity, suggesting long-range strains as the probable origin.  相似文献
