An experimental study of flow downstream of round, pitched and skewed wall-jets (vortex generating jets) is presented to illustrate the effects of changing the geometric inlet conditions of the jet-holes. In one case the jet-hole has a smoothly contoured inlet, and in the other the inlet was a sharp-edged, sudden contraction. The test region geometry, mean jet flow and cross-flow conditions were otherwise identical. In both cases, dominant streamwise vortex structures are seen in the boundary layer downstream; the flow and turbulence is nearly the same in the far-field starting downstream of x/D=5. In the near-field, for x/D<5, there are significant differences; turbulence levels are higher, and the start of the dominant vortex shape is less clear for the sharp-edged case. This is believed to be the result of flow separation and free shear layer instability inside the jet-hole which are not present for the smoothly contoured case.  相似文献

Diese stellt ein Modell der rotierenden Anode einer Röntgenröhre dar. Als Kriterium für das Auftreten von plastischem Fließen dient die Trescasche Fließbedingung. Während der Erhitzung bildet sich in der Umgebung der Wärmequelle in plastischer Bereich. Dieser wird nach dem Abschalten von einer entlasteten Zone aufgezehrt.
Elastic unloading of a disk after plastic deformation by a circular heat source
Summary Subject of the investigation is the transient stress distribution in an elastic-plastic disk acted upon by a circular heat source. The disk serves as a mechanical model of the rotating anode of an x-ray-tube. The calculation is based on Tresca's yield criterion and the flow rule associated to it. During heating, a plastic region spreads around the source, which is absorbed by an unloaded zone after the removal of the source.

The infinitesimal breathing motions of long cylindrical tubes and hollow spherical shells of arbitrary wall thickness subjected to a finite deformation field caused by uniform internal and/or external pressures are investigated. A neo-Hookean material with a material constant varying continuously along the radial direction is used. The shell is first subjected to finite static deformations and is then exposed to a secondary dynamic displacement field. Based on the theory of small deformations superposed on large deformations, closed form expressions are obtained for the frequency of small oscillations about the highly prestressed state. Frequency versus initial deformation parameter curves are given for several nohomogeneity functions and for various wall thicknesses.  相似文献

Bovine milk is an important food component in the human diet due to its nutrient-rich metabolites. However, bovine subclinical mastitis alters the composition and quality of milk. In present study, California mastitis testing, somatic cell count, pH, and electrical conductivity were used as confirmatory tests to detect subclinical mastitis. The primary goal was to study metabolome and identify major pathogens in cows with subclinical mastitis. In this study, 29 metabolites were detected in milk using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. Volatile acidic compounds, such as hexanoic acid, hexadecanoic acid, lauric acid, octanoic acid, n-decanoic acid, tricosanoic acid, tetradecanoic acid, and hypogeic acid were found in milk samples, and these impart good flavor to the milk. Metaboanalyst tool was used for metabolic pathway analysis and principal component estimation. In this study, EC and pH values in milk were significantly increased (p < 0.0001), whereas fat (p < 0.04) and protein (p < 0.0002) significantly decreased in animals with subclinical mastitis in comparison to healthy animals. Staphylococcus aureus was the predominant pathogen found (n = 54), followed by Escherichia coli (n = 30). Furthermore, antibiotic sensitivity revealed that Staphylococcus aureus was more sensitive to gentamicin (79.6%), whereas Escherichia coli showed more sensitivity to doxycycline hydrochloride (80%).  相似文献

Two similar tridentate directing groups derived from glycine and 8-aminoquinoline were shown to enable the palladium-catalyzed anti-Markovnikov hydrofunctionalization of 4-pentenylamine with drastically different efficiencies. A computational investigation into the origin of the reactivity difference between these isomeric, carbonyl-transposed auxiliaries suggests that protonation state, thus charge of the substrate-metal complex prior to nucleopalladation is key. These investigations have culminated in a directing group design that can undergo Pd-catalyzed hydrofunctionalization under relatively mild conditions, as low as room temperature.  相似文献
