Thermoluminescence (TL) studies of cobalt-doped Al2O3 crystals irradiated with X-rays have shown that the TL glow curve consists of three peaks at 105, 195 and 260°C. Bleaching, annealing and quanching studies have been performed in order to understand the nature of colour centers responsible for the formation of the three peaks. The values of the fundamental parameters like trap depth and frequency factor are estimated from TL data and the results obtained are discussed.  相似文献

Elevated irradiation temperature studies with NaYF4 samples reveal that the intensity of the two glow peaks observed around 120 and 180°C enhances. The effect of temperature of irradiation (Tirr) on the sensitisation of the both peaks are studied. The half lives of these glow peaks were calculated and concluded that the half lives of these peaks decreases with the increase in irradiation temperatures.  相似文献

We use magneto-transport spectroscopy to study a dramatic instability between a low and high conductivity mode in Si/SiGe-based resonant tunneling diodes with an embedded layer of self-assembled Ge hut cluster quantum dots in the Si barrier. In the low current regime a simple activation-type behavior with an astonishingly low activation energy in the order of 0.1 meV is determined. In the high current regime a region of negative differential conduction can be observed. We discuss the influence of different layer structures and magnetic fields.  相似文献

We report the observation of different localized structures coexisting for the same parameter values in an extended system. The experimental findings are carried out in a nonlinear optical interferometer and are fully confirmed by numerical simulations. The existence of each kind of localized structure is put in relation to a corresponding delocalized pattern observed. A quantitative evaluation of the range of pump parameter allowing bistability between localized structures is given. The phenomenon reported results to be robust in parameter space.  相似文献

Based on Monte Carlo simulations, the stable magnetization configurations of an antiferromagnet on a quasiperiodic tiling are derived theoretically. The exchange coupling is assumed to decrease exponentially with the distance between magnetic moments. It is demonstrated that the superposition of geometric frustration with the quasiperiodic ordering leads to a three-dimensional noncollinear antiferromagnetic spin structure. The structure can be divided into several ordered interpenetrating magnetic supertilings of different energy and characteristic wave vector. The number and the symmetry of subtilings depend on the quasiperiodic ordering of atoms.  相似文献

The problem of coronal heating remains one of the greatest unresolved problems in space science. Magnetic reconnection plays a significant role in heating the solar corona. When two oppositely directed magnetic fields come closer to form a current sheet, the current density of the plasma increases due to which magnetic reconnection and conversion of magnetic energy into thermal energy takes place. The present paper deals with a model for reconnection occurring in the solar corona under steady state in collisionless regime. The model predicts that reconnection time in the solar corona varies inversely with the cube of magnetic field and varies directly with the Lindquist number. Our analysis shows that reconnections are occurring within a time interval of 600 s in the solar corona, producing nanoflares in the energy range 10 21–10 23 erg /s which matches with Yohkoh X-ray observations.  相似文献

Characteristics of the hadronic component of EASes with hadron energies E h > 50 MeV were measured on the CARPET-2 complex shower array at the Baksan Neutrino Observatory of the Institute for Nuclear Research, Russian Academy of Sciences. Hadrons were registered using a 6-NM-64 neutron monitor; the data collection system of this array enables us to register the time intervals between pulses of neutron monitor counters with an error of up to 1 μs. For EASes with N e = 105–107 whose axes are located in CARPET, we obtain the dependence of the mean neutron multiplicity in the neutron monitor on the total number of charged particles in the EAS.  相似文献
